This story will not be long, as it explains itself.
We’ve previously shared here the story of U.S. Marine Corps Major Jason Brezler. In case you need a refresher, here’s one from a December 2015 Marine Corps Times report, “In a case that gained widespread notoriety, Maj. Jason Brezler, a civil affairs officer who had returned stateside, shared classified information with colleagues in Afghanistan in 2012 in an attempt to warn them about a suspected Taliban conspirator.
Brezler’s fears proved well-founded two weeks later when an insider attack in Helmand province claimed the lives of three Marines.”
Brezler was ultimately discharged because he sent a classified document from his personal email account.
I was on with Fox Business Network’s Maria Bartiromo last week and mentioned the case of Major Brezler. It’s funny, this Marine took a risk in an attempt to save fellow Marines. His consequence? Getting thrown out of the U.S. Marine Corps. I think y’all know where I’m going with this.
Just last week, my good friend, Dr. Rich Swier, also a retired Army field artillery Colonel, wrote, “A Navy leader upheld the decision to discharge U.S. Marine Major Jason Brezler from the Marine Corps.
Brezler was found to have mishandled classified information when he sent a warning of a possible attack to other Marines in Afghanistan from a personal email address. Major Brezler’s intent was to save the lives of his fellow Marines.
Was his sharing classified information via a personal email account any different from Hillary Clinton having a personal email server with classified information on it? It appears the system is rigged to protect the politically powerful, while a U.S. Marine is held accountable. Is there a double standard?
Short answer to that question…yep! There is a definitive double standard, and even FBI Director Comey stated so last week Tuesday in his press conference.
So why this double standard and how can it be stopped? It exists because the American people have allowed the development of a Soviet-style Politburo of political, media, education, and entertainment elites who live above the rest of us, and the rule of law.
And that is on full, glorious display with the case of Hillary Clinton — who has the complete and shameless cover of the mainstream liberal progressive media.
Why no outcry of injustice for Major Brezler? Heck, the slobbering liberal media will never give any attention to the case of young Jason, a Staten Island native. Jason made a decision based on honor and commitment to his fellow Marines, who sadly, such as Lance Corporal Buckley Jr., lost their lives, unnecessarily. There was no punishment for the Marine Commander who allowed the Afghan policeman, Taliban sympathizer and collaborator, Sarwar Jan, onto the Forward Operating Base in Helmand province.
I ask, how can this example of double standard be rectified and stopped? We need our voices to be resoundingly loud and heard. We should demand Major Jason Brezler be reinstated to the United States Marine Corps with all back pay. If he isn’t, then Hillary Clinton should face punishment under the following law:
United States Code: Title 18. Section 2071:
(a) Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record filed…in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both.
(b) Whoever, having the custody of any such record, unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, falsifies, or destroys the same, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both; and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States.
We must not accept this double standard, and every news media outlet should confront Hillary Clinton and ask her simply, “do you think your case was properly adjudicated when examined against that of U.S. Marine Corps Major Jason Brezler?” How many news outlets do you think will hammer away this point?
Any Clinton surrogate should be asked this question and not allowed to obfuscate and dismiss. We need to ask every Democrat and Hillary Clinton supporter, “do you stand with Major Brezler? Then join us to have him reinstated to the Marine Corps.” If they do not, and if Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus doesn’t reinstate Brezler; if the commander in chief sidesteps this issue — then the call must resonate: Hillary Clinton MUST be punished under U.S. Code, Title 18. Section 2071.
We know Hillary is guilty; why doesn’t she face any consequences? And an honorable U.S. Marine, Major Jason Brezler did?
This comparative case study, as it stands, earns the distinct designation of FUBAR.
