James Comey testified in front of House Republicans today, and it was hardly distinguishable from him announcing that the FBI was letting Hillary off the hook. Except for one big thing…
Among the contents of his testimony included the admissions that Hillary Clinton’s email practices put American secrets at risk, that public claims she made on the matter were lies, and that her actions “constituted the definition of carelessness.”
But now he’s let slip that perhaps she broke the law after all.
Fox News reports, Comey admits Hillary email claims — some made under oath — were ‘not true,’ raising the question whether she broke the law.
Perhaps this debacle is far from over for Hillary. Fox News reports:
(Comey) acknowledged that lying under oath is a felony, as some Republicans point to statements she made last October before the House Benghazi committee. There, Clinton claimed that nothing she sent or received was marked classified.
Comey was asked about such statements, which she also made publicly, in a pointed exchange with Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C.
“That’s not true. … There was classified material emailed,” Comey said.
On her claim that she used one device, Comey also said, “She used multiple devices.”
On her claim that she turned over all work-related emails, he said, “No, we found work-related emails, thousands that were not returned.”
“It’s apparent that she lied to the American people,” Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., later said of Clinton.
This is NOT an open and shut case, despite how much the Clintons and the Democrats want it to be.
