BREAKING: We’ve just learned who is behind today’s massive terror attack in Turkey…

As you no doubt have heard today, terror has struck another airport in Europe, killing 50 and wounding more than 60. What is now being reported as three separate blasts struck the international terminal at Istanbul, Turkey’s main airport — an international hub that serves some 60 million travelers per year.

While no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, U.S. counterterrorism officials are saying the “Brussels-style” attack has the hallmarks of ISIS.

A senior U.S. counterterrorism official told NBC News the Istanbul attack “fits the ISIS profile, not PKK.”

“There are only two groups capable of carrying out such a large-scale attack. This does not fit the PKK profile, they go after Turkish targets, not international targets,” the official said. [H/T CNN]

And now, the Turkish government is saying the same:

Via Yahoo News:

A senior Turkish government official has told The Associated Press all initial indications suggest the Islamic State group is behind the attack at Istanbul’s Ataturk airport.

The official also said nearly 50 people were killed in the attack Tuesday at the airport’s international terminal and as many as four attackers may have been involved.

The official spoke on condition of anonymity in line with government protocol.

So far, we know our own President Obama has been briefed on today’s attacks. However, no doubt any indications of “radical Islam” have been scrubbed from his briefings, so as not to upset anyone.

After all, in his world, there is nothing Islamic about the “Islamic State” — and to suggest they are radical could be inflammatory.

Perhaps this calls for a hug or a folksy song — no doubt Attorney General Lynch and Secretary of State John Kerry are all over it.
