Rob Lowe SHUTS DOWN media over gorilla shooting with ONE comment

It is amazing how contemporary culture loses its collective mind over untimely animal death. Remember the weeks and weeks of coverage about Cecil the lion?

Oh and by the way, in Chicago over this last long holiday weekend, 8 people were killed and 59 shot, but…yawn. Who cares, right?

However, when it’s a GORILLA, that’s headline news.

Just in case you missed it, on Sunday, four-year-old Isaiah Dickerson managed to get into the gorilla enclosure at the Cincinnati Zoo Gorilla World, falling into the moat. Harambe, a 400-pound lowland gorilla grabbed the child, dragging him through the water. After ten agonizing minutes, zoo officials made the decision to shoot and kill the gorilla.

Isaiah will survive, but Harambe’s death has sparked outrage from all sides. Even social justice warriors weighed in, saying the gorilla was shot to save the life of a white child…until it was revealed Isaiah is black.

Some blame the child’s mother for allowing him out of her sight; others blame the zoo for insufficient barricades. The Twittersphere weighs in…

But it was increasingly wise actor Rob Lowe who posted this plea to end the blame game.

However, the blame game may continue yet, as Fox News reports the child’s parents may face charges.

Sadly, that’s nothing new, as Isaiah’s father has a lengthy criminal record stretching back for more than 10 years, including burglary, firearms violations, drug trafficking, criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, kidnapping and a one-year sentence for drug trafficking.

Fortunately his son will survive. Let’s hope he keeps out of danger from now on…and doesn’t follow in his father’s footsteps.
