Admittedly, when I (Matt Palumbo) first heard a DePaul University professor resigned following the abhorrent treatment Milo YIannopoulos received there the other day, my faith in humanity was briefly restored. “Finally,” I thought to myself, “a professor is fed up with the lunacy of the Left, and is taking a stand for freedom of speech.”
Oh, how naive I was. Given the Marxist infiltration of our universities (Marxists must be an invasive species), of course the opposite is what actually happened. Apparently Milo’s mere presence is proof of “systemic racism,” or something. This professor, Ada Cheng, submitted her resignation on a DePaul Sociology Facebook page, posted below.
Who knew that the capitalist system is what gave us free speech? Thanks, Adam Smith?
And yes — she really is a DePaul professor — here’s her faculty page. Her specialties are in “gender, sexuality/sexual identity and practices, Asian American studies, feminisms, masculinity study, immigration/global migration, citizenship, globalization, and qualitative methods.” So in other words, expect to see her at your local Starbucks sometime soon.
I can only keep my fingers crossed that others follow her lead — just one less Marxist loon tainting the minds of university students.
Milo truly is doing the Lord’s work.
