One week after New York City Mayor Bill deBlasio called on New Yorkers to boycott it, Chick-Fil-A seems to be feeling the impact.
But it’s almost exactly the opposite of what the mayor seemed to be going for. In fact, the news just keeps getting worse — for deBlasio — and better for Chick-Fil-A.
So many customers flocking to eat more chikin, the chain is planning to open 12 more new Big Apple locations in the next year.
Via Fox News:
Last week, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio urged New Yorkers not to eat at Chick fil-A.
The liberal mayor argued that the owners of the popular chicken chain are “anti-LGBT,” calling for a boycott in New York.
It appears, however, that the mayor’s words have backfired.
The two midtown Manhattan locations are doing big business, with lines often stretching around the block.
Indeed, some are reporting their Chick-Fil-A visits have been inspired by the ultra-liberal mayor’s call to boycott — even taking the opportunity to dig the mayor’s own personal controversy.

In fact, the chain is doing so well in the Big Apple that 12 new locations are expected to pop up around the city over the next year.
According to The New York Post, Chick-fil-A is beating McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s and Subway with average sales per store of $3.15 million a year.
No word on whether they’re all ordering extra large sodas to go with their “chikin” — just to fully show New York City’s nanny mayors who’s really boss.
P.S. FYI – Chick-fil-A no longer donates any funds to pro-traditional marriage organizations. They went neutral on the issue after liberals protested them years ago. Though, as you know, liberals tend not to let facts get in the way of their outrage.
