Sarah Palin says she’ll work to DEFEAT this candidate…and it’s NOT Hillary or Bernie

Here’s another nail in the coffin of the Republican Party. Sarah Palin, who still wields some clout and continues to be adored by many, will be working hard to knock out adversaries during the congressional primary season – in her own party.

Angered that House Speaker Paul Ryan hasn’t jumped on the Trump train, Palin says she’ll be supporting Paul Nehlen, Ryan’s primary opponent in Wisconsin.

CNN reports, Palin said in an interview that airs Sunday on “State of the Union” that her decision was sparked by Ryan’s bombshell announcement to (Jake) Tapper last week that he wasn’t yet ready to support Donald Trump, the Republican presumptive nominee. Palin endorsed Trump back in January.

“I think Paul Ryan is soon to be ‘Cantored,’ as in Eric Cantor,” Palin said, referring to the former Republican House majority leader who was ousted in a shocking upset in 2014 when challenger Dave Brat ran to his right in a Virginia primary.

“His political career is over but for a miracle because he has so disrespected the will of the people, and as the leader of the GOP, the convention, certainly he is to remain neutral, and for him to already come out and say who he will not support is not a wise decision of his,” Palin continued.

Palin also said she believes Ryan is laying the groundwork for a 2020 run for the White House, but if the GOP (i.e. Trump) should win this year it doesn’t bode well for him.

And there you have it. The establishment seems to have already thrown in the towel for a Hillary victory or worse yet, actually WANTS her to win so they’ll be better positioned for themselves going forward.

Either way they can blame Donald Trump – and distance themselves from both him and the millions of people who support him. Doesn’t sound like a good long-term strategy to me, but what do I know?
