The good news is that Mitt Romney is on board with the #NeverHillary train. The bad news is who else he won’t be supporting.
Via The Hill:
“I don’t intend on support either of the major party candidates at this point,” Romney said Thursday night at the American Friends of The Hebrew University gala, according to The Washington Examiner.
“I wish we had better choices, and I keep hoping that somehow things will get better, and I just don’t see an easy answer from where we are now.”
Ironically, that last sentence perfectly encapsulates how many felt in 2012.
Romney added that he has no interest in launching an independent campaign to offer voters an alternative to Clinton or Trump.
An aide to Romney on Thursday said that the former Massachusetts governor plans on skipping the Republican National Convention in Cleveland in July.
Maybe he thinks Trump is a RINO – but he should remember that he bore the same reputation.
Is Romney planning to sit out the 2016 election — just like he inspired millions of Republicans to do in 2012, effectively handing the election to Obama?
