OOPS: Hillary’s latest attempt to bash Trump just BACKFIRED big-time…

As Hillary Clinton all but clinches her position as the Democrat nominee and Donald Trump marches closer to the Republican nomination, many are eyeing the battle that lies ahead between the two of them.

Donald Trump maintains that once he turns his attacks to her, Hillary Clinton’s numbers will suffer.

Hillary, on the other hand, suggests the Donald’s attempts will only backfire — but her own attempts to bash Trump in saying so actually just backfired. Big time.

Via Washington Examiner:

On CNN’s “State of the Union,” Clinton suggested she is prepared for Trump’s attacks, suggesting she thinks they will backfire.

Clinton said she has experience with “men who go off the reservation in the way they behave and how they speak.”

“He can say whatever he wants to say about me. I could really care less.” Clinton said. “We’re going to talk about what we want to do for the country and he can continue on his insult-fest, but that’s the choice that he’s making.”

Yep, you guessed it, some people were none too happy about Hillary’s choice of words. As the New York Post reports, the Queen drew ire from Native Americans over her use of the phrase “off the reservation.”

Activists pointed to the saying’s dark origins in late-19th-century laws restricting Native Americans to reservation lands.

“When reservations were first established, going #OffTheReservation meant you were going to be hunted down and killed,” Ruth Hopkins tweeted.

The firestorm on social media ultimately forced the campaign to apologize.

“Divisive language has no place in our politics,” tweeted Amanda Renteria, Clinton’s national political director. “Hillary Clinton meant no disrespect to Native Americans. She wants this election to be about lifting people up, not tearing them down.”

Apparently, many weren’t buying Hillary’s pandering (non)-apology:

Off the reservationoff the reservation tweets

Of course, this incident was mere weeks after the backlash Hillary stepped in when she and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio joked about “CPT,” also known as “colored people’s time” — referring to a quip about the stereotype that black people often run late.

Even with the backlash, Hillary slipped through this little incident relatively unscathed. We all know if Donald Trump had said this, it would be cover-to-cover, 24/7 news.
