Cartoon NAILS ESPN’s hypocrisy over firing Curt Schilling

Curt Schilling is no stranger to controversy, but it wasn’t until just the other week that his strong conservative views put him out of a job.

Technically speaking, it wasn’t even his own comments that got him into trouble – just sharing an image on Facebook to which the PC Police took offense.

They were far more forgiving eight years ago when one of their anchors went on an anti-Christian tirade, who received a mere week-long suspension. But as one of A.F. Branco’s latest cartoon shows, that’s just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to ESPN’s hypocrisy…

For anyone curious on the details of the Ray Lewis case, he was indicted on murder and aggregated assault charges for a double-murder in 2000. They were dropped as part of a plea deal, but he did admit to lying to police that he wasn’t at the scene of the murder during questioning.  He also paid a $250,000 fine to the NFL, the highest ever for a non-substance abuse-related charge.

If only Ray Lewis were a Republican, he might have been out of a job.
