New shock poll about GOP vs. Dems has one party RUNNING SCARED…

Nobody is happy with our government right now, the only thing people really seem to disagree on is at whom to point the finger. Naturally, Republicans will point the finger at Obama, while Obama will claim that we’d be living in paradise if only it wasn’t for Congress obstructing him (isn’t it a pain when the separations of powers work as intended?).

The Pew Research Center reported that a new poll found that “Unfavorable opinions of the GOP are now as high as at any point since 1992,” but I have a different take. Take a look at the numbers for both parties:

GOP's image turns more negative

Since Obama took office, Republicans lost seven percentage points of favorability, and gained seven in unfavorability. While this may put them at their lowest unfavorability since the nineties, Democrats shed seventeen percentage points of favorability, and picked up eighteen points of unfavorability.

In other words, while Republicans have reached new lows, Democrats have still been hit harder.

Democrats have also lost more independent support.

Also notable is that nearly a third of Republicans viewed the Democratic Party favorably prior to the Obama Administration. I guess we’ll have to grant him some credit for fixing that.
