Can anyone make up their mind this election?
Donald Trump refers to Ted Cruz as “Lyin Ted,” but won’t rule him out for a VP pick. Ben Carson was deemed to be an “OK doctor” and “pathological,” by Trump, who later earned his endorsement. Chris Christie stated that “Donald’s a great guy and a good person. But I just don’t think that he’s suited to be president of the United States,” then later endorsed him to be POTUS.
So when news broke that Carly Fiorina had endorsed Ted Cruz for Vice President, I (The Analytical Economist) couldn’t help but wonder: what was she saying about him just a few months ago? It turns out, she must’ve warmed up to Cruz over the past few months. Watch what she said about Cruz on CNN in January:
When asked whether or not Cruz would lose in a general election, she deflected and said “I would say that Ted Cruz is just like any other politician, he says one thing in Manhattan, he says another thing in Iowa, he says whatever he says to get elected, and then he’s going to do as he pleases.”
Whether or not that’s true, look who’s talking now. Ain’t politics grand?
