A longstanding feud appears to be coming to an end.
It all began last August, when Megyn Kelly began the first Republican presidential debate with a question to Donald Trump regarding some comments he’s made toward women in the past, describing them as “fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals.”
Trump jokingly replied, “only Rosie O’Donnell.”
He didn’t leave it at that, attacking Kelly in the months following. The feud peaked when Trump skipped out on one of Fox’s presidential debates to hold his own rally instead.
Over the past few weeks, things appeared to finally be winding down. The two met at Trump Tower earlier this month, and as HotAir reports, they have a bit of a surprise for us:
Trump will sit for an in-depth interview on Kelly’s special, which airs on Fox on May 17, a source confirmed to Page Six…
The Fox News anchor secretly spent an hour with the Republican presidential candidate on April 13 at the Trump Tower, where they discussed him appearing with her on a TV special.
“Kelly requested a meeting with Mr. Trump, which took place at Trump Tower this morning . . . Kelly has acknowledged in recent interviews that Trump is a fascinating person to cover and has electrified the Republican base,” a Fox rep said in a statement at the time.
Ironically, this will be Kelly’s first primetime special — spent with a man who once called for a boycott of her show. Now I’m only wondering how he negotiated that deal…
