Whether or not she’ll admit it (she won’t), Hillary Clinton has something to hide when it comes to her donors.
Bernie Sanders blasted her in the Democrat debates for receiving $675,000 in speaking fees from Goldman Sachs (which we can appropriately call campaign contributions under a different name). Hillary still refuses to make the transcripts of her speeches public, so it’s impossible to know if $675,000 worth of wisdom was shared with them.
The financial industry, against which Hillary commonly rails, is hardly the only industry with which she’s had a cozy relationship.
And, apparently, she’s a little touchy about it.
Hillary was recently confronted by an environmental activist from Greenpeace about donations she had received from the fossil fuels lobby — and clearly the question struck a nerve.
Watch for yourself, via The Blaze:
“Will you [inaudible] fossil fuel money in the future in your campaign?” the activist asked.
“I have money from people who have worked for fossil fuel companies,” Clinton said.
The former secretary of state then took a shot at 2016 rival Bernie Sanders who has gone after her for donations from Wall Street and the fossil fuel industry.
“I am so sick of the Sanders campaign lying about me. I am sick of it!” she said.
According to Open Secrets, Clinton has received more than $300,000 in donations from the oil and gas sector.
Liberals can’t be happy with Hillary’s list of donors, which contains representatives of every industry she vows to fight: finance, oil, pharmaceuticals and many others. No wonder so many of them would rather vote for Trump over her.
