A shooting suspect has just been detained after shooting two troopers and one civilian at a bus station in Richmond, Virginia.
Virginia State Police say two troopers were shot as well as a female civilian at the Greyhound bus station in Richmond Thursday afternoon.
Virginia State Police spokeswoman Corinne N. Geller said the shooting suspect was in custody.
State police were called to the shooting at the bus station in the 2910 N. Boulevard at 2:45 p.m.
Richmond Police Chief Alfred Durham earlier confirmed at least one person had been shot.
Fox News reports the bus station is three miles north of Virginia Commonwealth University’s downtown Richmond campus.
ABC reports the shooter may have been shot by police before being taken into custody.
Two Virginia State Police troopers and one female civilian have been transported to VCU Medical Center for treatment. The shooting suspect, who was shot by a state trooper, is in custody.
No word yet on the identity or motive of the shooter.
