Naturally, the media is having a field day with the controversy over GOP frontrunner Donald Trump’s alleged failure to denounce former Ku Klux Klan Grand Wizard David Duke yesterday. They’re pouncing all over it to further their narrative that Trump — and by extension, the Republicans who support him — are racist bigots to the core.
So one host at leading race-baiter network MSNBC was visibly caught off guard when one Trump supporter didn’t exactly follow the script she had in mind.
Via the Gateway Pundit:
MSNBC turned their cameras to one of Donald Trump’s rally’s expecting to see someone slamming Trump.
The segment totally backfired when the cameras latched on to black Trump supporter deriding David Duke, racism, etc.
Black Trump supporter: David Duke and people like that they come out from under the rocks this time this year… It got nothing to do with Donald Trump. We’re all Americans. We need to stop with all this racist stuff. Like me and my friend right here (white guy). We just met today and we gotta stop with the racist stuff.
This wasn’t what MSNBC was hoping for.
Not only a black man voicing strong support for Trump, but — double gasp — making friends with a white Trump supporter! That quashes two race-baiting narratives in one fell swoop!
They were totally caught with egg on their face as they weren’t expecting a black man to downplay the whole BS issue on David Duke and the KKK.
Oops, narrative BACKFIRE! Host Tamron Hall did her level best to recover and downplay any support Trump may have among black Americans.
“Um, clearly, let me just be clear,” Hall said. “Obviously the majority of Donald Trump’s supporters are not African American. I don’t know how many African Americans were in that, that building, but that is one, uh, person that, uh, we have chosen to cut that sound from, uh, David.”
Hall seems to want to imply that the one black man the cameras happened to focus in on was an anomaly — her argument based on, um, her liberal narrative. As we’ve shared previously, Trump seems to be garnering strong minority support, according to some polls, despite the largely liberal narrative that’s taken hold.
Whether you’re a Trump supporter or not — and contrary to what supporters of every candidate has alleged, we’re not taking sides on this site, just bringing y’all information — this blatant example of the media trying desperately to further their own narrative is absolutely shameful. #MediaFail
