While candidates and their surrogates hit the pavement hard telling us to vote for THEM, comedian, podcaster and author Adam Carolla is telling voters who NOT to vote for this election cycle.
Whatever your previous impressions are of Carolla, if you’re an American conservative, I think you’ll find his message refreshing amidst the increasing din of wannabe leaders promising free stuff and “fixes” to every imaginable whine from our electorate. Carolla argues, among other things, “Fixing Your Screwed-Up Life Is Not the Government’s Job.”
Liberals, take note.
Via The Blaze:
“Don’t vote for anyone who says, ‘I’ll fight for you.’ Because that person is full of crap and has no intention of not only fighting for you, he doesn’t know who you are. He or she is just moving on to the next town where they can point at the next sap and say, ‘I’ll fight for you.’”
Carolla also believes that voters who ask candidates, “What can you do for me?” should be told, “Nothing.” He added, “But, here’s the good news. We live in the United States. You can do something for you. Feel free to get a job and fight to keep it.”
In the short video, Carolla espouses values that favor smaller government and more personal responsibility, telling the viewer, ”The government’s job is to clear the playing field, not level it,” said Carolla.
A corollary to this is the notion that the government’s role is to help promote equal opportunity, not equal outcomes (which is what Bernie Sanders argues). Both are key distinctions between the Democrat Socialist viewpoint and the conservative movement. Col. West talks about parents who instilled the concept of being “victors,” not “victims”; Carolla’s video drives a similar sentiment.
Carrolla’s message, without actually saying it, takes direct aim at Democrat Hillary Clinton — whose slogan is “Fighting for Us.” Guessing Carolla’s not feeling the Bern, either.
Watch for yourself — and be sure to get this out to all your liberal friends.
