Well folks, sadly, here we go again. Three more of our officers have been shot in the line of duty, and tragically, one lost his life.
Here’s what we know so far. In Colorado, a Park County sheriff’s deputy was killed and two other deputies injured in a shootout at 9:15 am local time. The suspect was also killed, but it is unknown whether he was shot or killed himself.

We can be thankful the two deputies don’t have life-threatening injuries. Little is known about the suspect or his motive, but here are two interesting details that may shed some light.
According to Fox News/KDVR, a sheriff’s office spokeswoman said the bomb squad was being brought in for an unknown reason.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the Colorado State Patrol and the Colorado Bureau of Investigation have been called in to assist with the investigation.
The bomb squad was brought in for an unknown reason? Maybe because someone suspected a bomb?
In the meantime, we’ll pray for the victims, but until all the details are known, we’ll leave the speculation to others.
