Well, this show we call our political process is getting crazier and crazier. After Donald Trump decided to ditch tonight’s Fox News GOP debate, he bragged that candidates are calling him to join his event.
Wow, two candidates called last night and said they want to go to my event tonight at Drake University.

Now we know who they are.
Poltico reports Mike Huckabee will join Donald Trump at his rival campaign event in Des Moines on Thursday night.
“He’s doing the debate. But he’s doing the Trump event after,” Hogan Gidley, a spokesman for Huckabee’s campaign told POLITICO.
Huckabee, who is due to appear at the undercard Fox News debate, said on CNN that he offered to take Trump’s podium on the main stage at 9 p.m. and when that was rejected, he decided to find something else to do at that time.
He said he wouldn’t do an event with just anybody, but, “I’ll do it with Donald Trump. I respect him, I like him”
He also promised to make a personal contribution to veterans, which he said was not required.
UPDATE: And now Rick Santorum has also announced he’ll attend.
Well that’s nice. And now these two candidates barely showing up in the polls can jump on the Trump publicity train. While I do appreciate Trump’s support of veterans, I do wish our candidates would focus on the issues instead of themselves. But I guess that’s the business of politics…
