It’s no secret that the Democrat National Committee, led by Debbie Wasserman Schultz, is in the tank for Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton. Despite protests from many within the DNC itself; competing candidates Bernie Sanders and Martin O’Malley; and the Democrat electorate at large, Little Debbie has repeatedly refused to up the number of Democrat primary debates. Not to mention the glaringly-obvious scheduling of the few debates at times likely to attract the least attention — such as Saturday nights opposing football and/or holiday festivities.
The hope appears to have been that the best strategy for whisking Hillary along to her presumed coronation as the Democrat nominee was minimizing exposure — both her own exposure to potential attacks and exposure to her competition.
Well, as we’ve been reporting with some fascination and ample amounts of schadenfreude, things don’t appear to be working quite as planned for Little Debbie and Queen Hillary. Polls continue to show Hillary’s lead dramatically dropping, even disappearing or reversing dramatically, with less than two weeks before the first caucuses.
And perhaps the most ominous sign of all is that the liberal media is starting to turn. Case in point is MSNBC’s Mika Brzezinski, who this morning slammed DNC chairwoman for attempting to control the election in Hillary’s favor — and still failing.
Brzezinski had three choice words for Little Debbie.
“The DNC trying to control the election by making less debates? Good on ya. You screwed yourself,” Brzezinski said, as co-host Joe Scarborough pointed to Bernie Sander’s recent jump in the polls in Iowa and New Hampshire.
“With less than two weeks remaining before the Iowa caucuses, a new Monmouth poll of Democrats nationwide shows Bernie Sanders now trailing Hillary Clinton by 15 points. She led by 33 points a month ago,” Scarborough said.
“Debbie,” Brzezinski said with contempt, as Scarborough read off yet another poll that evidenced Sander’s success in the polls.
“But that comes as a new WMUR/CNN poll out of New Hampshire shows Bernie Sanders opening up a shocking, commanding 27-point lead over Clinton. He led by ten points in this poll back in December. Clinton led by eight points just in June,” Scarborough said.
Brzezinski then once again rebuked Wasserman Schultz for trying to manipulate the debates.
“Thank God you controlled that debate thing, because that really helped out,” Brzezinski said.
It sure does appear that Brzezinski is right on this one. And, for the love of our country, we certainly hope she is.
