Face Palm: This may be Debbie Wasserman Schultz’s DUMBEST comment ever

As BizPacReview reported, Debbie Wasserman Schultz is grasping at straws to attack the Republican Party. This time by repeating the tired old talking point that the Republican Party is only full of white people – a talking point popular among the blind.

“It’s pretty clear that Nikki Haley is being chosen because the Republican Party has a diversity problem,” Wasserman Schultz, who’s also a Florida congresswoman said in a conference call, according to The Hill, which reported:

Haley, who was born in South Carolina, is the daughter of immigrants from India. She will be delivering the GOP’s official response to President Obama’s final State of the Union Tuesday night.

Oh really? The Republican candidates include a woman, African-American, and two Cuban-Americans. According to the Washington Post, it’s the most diverse group of candidates ever in any Presidential election — for either party.

And it’s not just the candidates themselves who are diverse; their support is as well.

The polls show “40 percent of blacks are lining up behind Trump, as are 45 percent of Hispanics, and even nearly 19 percent of Asians. Blacks and Hispanics, in fact, even support Trump at a higher level than whites.”

Heck, his support is so diverse that we don’t even have to talk about ethnic diversity – 20% of Democrats would vote for him. There’s political diversity too.

The Internet was quick to recognize the absurdity behind Schultz’s statement, leading to a wave of mockery:

How desperate is Schultz getting if this is seriously the best argument she could make? The Democrats truly must be anxious about this November.
