ISIS claimed responsibility for an armed attack on Israeli tourists in Cairo yesterday, according to Amaq, a news agency that supports the group.
The gunmen opened fire on Israeli Arab tourists as they boarded a bus in Cairo at the Three Pyramids Hotel, on a road leading to the Giza pyramids southwest of Egypt’s capital.
Egypt’s Interior Ministry said the attack was directed at security forces.
Thankfully, there were no casualties, but the reason behind the shooting should cause grave concern.
The Jerusalem Post says, “Islamic State said its members carried out the shooting in response to a call by the group’s leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi to target Jews “everywhere.”
Perhaps the only reason there were no fatalities from Thursday’s attack is because the terrorists realized there were no Jews on board the bus.
So I have a question for Chuck Schumer along with my fellow Floridians Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Ted Deutch and Lois Frankel – does this concern you one tiny bit? I can tell you, as a Jew, it concerns me.
ISIS is pretty good about following through on what it says it’s going to do. Its followers and wannabes seem to be very enthusiastic about carrying out orders.
How long do you think it will be before we see attacks on Jews in this country? And will Loretta Lynch get her knickers in a twist about “hate speech?”
Oh, and by the way, on that subject, based on the most recent FBI data for hate crimes, only 19 percent of hate crimes were based on religion. And guess which religion was targeted most? Yes, Jews, with 58 percent of the crimes against them. Muslims, on the other hand, were targeted in 16 percent of hate crimes. Yes, Jews were over three times more likely to be targeted in hate crimes than Muslims.
You tell me who needs more protection in this country. And also tell me the last time some rabbis grabbed a bunch of semi-automatic weapons and shot up a Christmas party.
