The verdict is out on the Planned Parenthood videos, and the left is rejoicing.
Last Friday, U.S. District Court Judge William Orrick stated that the recent undercover Planned Parenthood videos didn’t show any criminal activity was committed. He even injected his own personal opinion, that the videos put abortion providers at risk, citing the recent shooting at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado Springs.
Considering that only eleven people have been killed as a result of abortion related violence in this nation’s’ entire history – yes, it puts providers at risk but about as much risk as being attacked by a shark while being struck by lightning.
It’s interesting the judge would inject his own politics into the verdict, and after new revelations from the American Spectator, it’s not hard to understand why:
Over at The Inquisitir, Bradley Ryder asked, “Will Carly Fiorina and GOP critics accept the court’s opinion?”
But what Ryder (nor for that matter CBS) fail to disclose is that Judge Orrick was appointed to his current position by President Obama in 2013. Nor do they disclose that Orrick was a significant fundraiser and contributor to Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign. According to Public Citizen (which can hardly be called a conservative outfit), Orrick bundled at least $200,000 while also donating more than $30,000 to various committees in support of Obama. He also bundled at least $100,000 for John Kerry in 2004.
This certainly sheds lights on Judge Orrick’s comments at last Friday’s hearing. As such it should be understood that the views expressed by Orrick were his personal and political views, not a legal point of view. But one would never know that if one were to rely on The Insquistir which like the rest of the liberal media turns out to be not very inquisitive much less forthcoming when it comes to the left-wing inclinations of supposedly impartial public figures.
The left was claiming that the videos were faked before any investigation was done into them. A forensic investigation into the videos did find them to be authentic – the only investigation that concluded otherwise was one funded by Planned Parenthood.
The evidence against Planned Parenthood is damning. We just need an unbiased judge.
