GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump continues to get slammed for his proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entry to the United States until we can shore up our process to protect against terrorist infiltration. Even Saudi Prince Alwaleed bin Talal added his voice to that criticism of Trump late last week, tweeting Trump was a “disgrace.”
Naturally, the Donald didn’t let this slam go unanswered.
Via Western Journalism:
.@realDonaldTrump You are a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America. Withdraw from the U.S presidential race as you will never win.
— الوليد بن طلال (@Alwaleed_Talal) December 11, 2015
And rather than just an in-kind ad hominem reply, Trump called out the prince on substance that cuts right to the core of the issue.
Trump, once again, highlights a key point very few are talking about. Everyone’s so busy crying foul over Trump’s proposal to protect the United States and meanwhile, Syria’s neighbors have already shut their doors to the refugees to protect themselves. As we’ve shared previously, the five wealthiest Gulf Nations — including, of course, Saudi Arabia — refuse to take a single refugee.
Meanwhile, anyone who dares suggest even a temporary pause to the U.S. welcoming this group — which ISIS has made clear it IS using to infiltrate — is an outrageous Islamophobe.
Once again, love him or loathe him, you’ve got to hand it to Trump for saying what everyone else is too afraid to.
