There is a famous quote often misattributed to Nazi Minister of Propaganda Joseph Goebbels which says, “If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
No matter who first said it, clearly this is exactly what’s currently playing out in Paris as world “leaders” gather. These are the people who have been claiming incessantly that the greatest threat to our world is climate change — yes, the weather.
Just last week in Washington D.C. it was President Obama who stated, “What a powerful rebuke to the terrorists it will be, when the world stands as one and shows that we will not be deterred from building a better future for our children.”
So they will gather, flying in from all over the world in their jets — quite a carbon footprint if you ask me. If they were so concerned about the environment, why not just do the damn whole thing by Skype or GoToMeeting.com?
They’re in Paris, a city that has seen two horrific Islamic terrorist attacks this year — I know, most of you have forgotten Charlie Hebdo and the Jewish kosher grocery store attack earlier this year. I find it rather interesting that Obama just could not find it within himself to go to Paris in response to the two terrorist attacks — but he can certainly show up for a conference on the weather. And this is supposed to issue a “rebuke” to Islamic terrorists? If anything this is providing a greater incentive.
As reported by Yahoo.com, “Hundreds of thousands of people rallied around the world Sunday on the eve of a Paris summit aimed at averting catastrophic climate change, but violent clashes in the French capital soured the show of people power. The global protests, including an emotional linking of hands near the heart of this month’s terror attacks in Paris, were aimed at building grassroots pressure for an historic deal at the UN talks to limit global warming. As US President Brack Obama and other world leaders began flying into Paris for Monday’s official opening, negotiators vowed at a preliminary session to honor the victims of the attacks by forging an ambitious deal.
“The best way to honor the memory of those who have fallen, those who are victims of barbaric attacks, is to carry out what we have committed to,” the co-chair of the talks, Ahmed Djoghlaf, told participants at a vast conference center in Le Bourget, on the northern outskirts of Paris.
Instead of marching, activists placed thousands of pairs of shoes — weighing more than four tons according to organizers — on Place de la Republique square. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon left a pair of running shoes, and Pope Francis sent shoes to be placed on his behalf. But a band of anti-capitalist militants infiltrated the protests, leading to clashes with riot police in the late afternoon and the detention of more than 200 people.”
So THIS is how we’re going to show those pesky Islamic terrorists: we’re going to pile up shoes. And we’re going to craft an agreement on climate change that will honor the victims, surely to scare the beejeezus out of ISIS. And just to show how really tough we are in the West, we’re going to conduct anti-capitalism violence and clash with riot police. Now, that is exactly how we demonstrate rebuke to the terrorists.
Ya know what? They’re laughing at us. We’re busy piling up shoes, but refusing to put “combat boots on the ground” to kick the crap out of these savages.
All that’s left is another rendition of James Taylor singing “You’ve Got a Friend” with John Kerry standing by, swaying off beat.
I must be deadly honest here. We will not defeat Islamic terrorism and radical jihadists as long as progressive socialists are in charge. They’ve told the insidious lie of global warming, climate change being the greatest threat to the globe for so long, it has indeed become truth for them. And not just truth, a maniacal religion embraced by extremists who will vehemently attack anyone not agreeing with their insanity — just read the comments that will follow this posting.
As the quotation goes, “It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
Consider how any dissent of the Iranian nuclear agreement was met by the Obama administration and his leftist minions. The messaging from the Obama spin doctors was that the only alternative was war with Iran. And now, world “leaders” — actually useful idiots (per Lenin) — are gathering in Paris, but not to discuss how to defeat militant Islamic terrorism and jihadism in the City of Lights already struck twice this year. Nope, they’re meeting under the misguided objective of “building a better future for our children,” as Obama stated.
But ask yourself, this year, now, how many Parisians have lost their lives because of the weather?
Remember President Obama’s commencement address to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy graduating class this year? This is what he said, taken from a CNN report, “Climate change will impact every country on the planet. No nation is immune,” the President told the 218 graduating cadets. “Climate change constitutes a serious threat to global security, an immediate risk to our national security, and, make no mistake, it will impact how our military defends our country. And so we need to act — and we need to act now.”
President Obama stressed the effects of climate change and its role in natural disasters and humanitarian crises, citing potential increases in refugee flows, a lack of food and water and threatening the readiness of U.S. military forces.
“Many of our military installations are on the coast, including, of course, our Coast Guard stations. Around Norfolk, high tides and storms increasingly flood parts of our Navy base and an air base. In Alaska, thawing permafrost is damaging military facilities. Out West, deeper droughts and longer wildfires could threaten training areas our troops depend on.” “You are part of the first generation of officers to begin your service in a world where the effects of climate change are so clearly upon us. Climate change will shape how every one of our services plan, operate, train, equip, and protect their infrastructure, today and for the long-term,” Obama said.”
This is the level of delusion that undermines our national security strategy. Yep, what a rebuke to Islamic terrorists. They kill us, they behead us, they crucify Christians, they murder us right in our own countries. But they must take second place to the weather. Folks, this is gonna be a very long final year with the Meteorologist-in-Chief, Barack Obama.
