INTENSE! Russia is Doing Something With France Nobody Expected…

In the wake of last week’s Paris attacks, President Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry seem to be doubling down on their efforts to project the United States as weak, disconnected from reality and lacking passion in the fight against ISIS.

Their combined fumbles — to put it mildly — have at times made me hang my head in embarrassment over our leaders. And contrasting these with strong words and action from other world leaders, I have to admit being in the sad and unusual position of feeling more inspiration, confidence — and dare I say, even pride — in other countries’ response to ISIS’ clear and present threat.

Perhaps most strange is this feeling being inspired by none other than Russia, one of the United States’ longtime rivals. While Obama called the attacks a mere “setback,” Putin this week declared it will hunt ISIS “everywhere, wherever they’re hiding. We’ll find them anywhere in the world and we’ll punish them.” Russia’s promised to ensure the terrorists “understand retribution is inescapable.” While Russia increases airstrikes in Syria, reports suggest our own President Obama meanwhile is blocking 75 percent of strikes in Syria. Hmmm.

Now, look what Russian military ground crew are doing to show solidarity with France in the fight against ISIS.

Russian ground crew are inscribing the words “For Paris” on some bombs destined to be dropped on targets in Syria, in a message of solidarity with the victims of last week’s Paris attacks.

Russia bombs

A video posted online by the Defence Ministry at also shows a serviceman writing “For Our Guys” on a bomb at Russia’s Hmeymim airbase.

“Pilots and technicians of Hmeymim airbase have sent their message to terrorists by priority airmail,” said a caption accompanying the post.

Not at all what you’d expect, but pretty awesome, isn’t it? I mean, changing your profile pic on Facebook is nice and all, but this is hard core. Perhaps if our president would LET us drop some bombs, we might do something similar…

I love this country, and I still believe it remains the greatest place on earth to live, despite the past seven years. I just hope and pray we put a true leader back in the White House who can restore our pride and place as a shining city on a hill.
