Donald Trump’s popularity in the GOP presidential polls continues to rise. No surprise there – except to the GOP establishment pundits who expected his star to dim, particularly after the Paris attacks.
As The Hill reports, “On Wednesday, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush delivered a defense-focused speech at The Citadel in South Carolina.
Bush did not name Trump, but the reality TV star was clearly in his sights when he said that the Paris attacks “remind us … that we are living in serious times that require serious leadership.”
Yes Governor, that is true – but clearly the electorate has different criteria for “serious leadership.” I’m thinking perhaps it has to do with brass that comes in pairs.
However, in all but one of the polls listed by Real Clear Politics for the last two days, Trump is firmly in the lead. What’s interesting though is who is climbing into the number two spot.
In half of the eight polls listed below, it’s Marco Rubio in the number two spot – in fact in the Colorado poll where Carson leads, Rubio is number two ahead of Trump.
Take a gander here… (or here)
As they say, it ain’t over until the generously proportioned lady sings, and she’s clearly just warming up.
