Oregon shooter asked victims to state their religion before firing

No matter what more we find out, I’m not sure how it can get much worse. By now we know that as many as 13 people were killed and at least 20 injured today when a shooter opened fire at Umpqua Community College near Roseburg, Oregon.

We also know now the 20-year-old shooter was killed. We do not yet know his identity or his motive. But one very disturbing fact has surfaced.

USA Today reports that “Kortney Moore, 18, told News Review-Today that she was in her Writing 115 class in Snyder Hall when one shot came through a window. She said she saw her teacher get shot in the head.

The shooter was inside at that point, and he told people to get on the ground, Moore told the newspaper.

The shooter was asking people to stand up and state their religion and then started firing, Moore said.”

That’s all we know right now, but you can be certain, whatever the “wrong” answer was for this shooter will become a flashpoint in our nation.

Naturally the White House has wasted no time in making this an issue for gun control (even though the tragedy occurred in a gun-free zone), instead of bringing the nation together in mourning for the victims.
