Remember how Debbie Wasserman-Schultz couldn’t explain how Democrats are different from socialists? Well, Hillary Clinton can’t seem to explain what makes her different from Obama either. The reason is that she has no real plan. She believes she just deserves to be president…period.
What are Clinton’s real plans? To accept all the illegal aliens we can? To allow babies to be aborted and sell their body parts? To allow Muslims to impose Sharia law in the U.S.? So what’s new? We have that already.
Which is perhaps why she had so much trouble answering the simple question, “where do you differ from the president.”
As The Blaze reports, “Hillary Clinton struggled in an interview with “Meet the Press” moderator Chuck Todd to list how she differs from President Barack Obama.
“You have said you are not running for Barack Obama’s third term. Where do you differ? What is a couple places you differ … where do you differ from him on domestic issues?” Todd asked.
“Look, I think I would have a different job,” Clinton said. “I have said I am not my husband’s third term either. Both of them faced economic challenges inherited from their Republican predecessors. President Obama inherited the worst financial crisis since the Great Depression. It was his job to stop the bleeding. Begin to repair the economy. Dig us out of the ditch we were in. Begin to see the recovery of jobs. But what we haven’t seen is the recovery of incomes. We just haven’t seen paychecks rising yet. People have not recovered their paycheck or their wealth that was so devastated by the crisis of ’07, ’08, ’09.”
Not satisfied with Clinton’s reply, Todd asked the question again.
“But where do you differ with the president?” he asked.
“Well, I have a different set of priorities because I will face a different set of issues,” Clinton said.
The likely Democratic nominee then did her best to list a few specifics, mostly contending she wanted to amplify Obama’s current policies.
“I also will defend the Affordable Care Act, but I want to take it further. I want to make improvements in it,” she said. “I will defend Dodd/Frank, but I want to impose a much harsher set of restrictions based on risk.”
“I want to build on what works from both my husband’s term and President Obama’s, but I want to go further,” Clinton added.
OK she wants to go further. Do you realize how ridiculous that sounds? What does that even mean? You do realize she’s said this before and still with no explanation of what ‘further’ means. It’s like “hope and change.” What was that? Well, I guess we know now. The thing about Hillary is, to paraphrase Gertrude Stein, there is no THERE there. Can you name one thing she says she’ll do to actually make this country better?
Neither can I.
In fact when we have a presidential candidate who takes the security of this nation for granted (Servergate) we have a serious problem. When we have a presidential candidate who supports a having a government-funded agency (Planned Parenthood) that sells aborted baby parts for profit, we have a problem.
No thank you Hillary. Further down that road we do not want to travel.
