Does what just happened in Saudi Arabia prove Ben Carson is right?

Ok, there is a LOT of liberal media misdirection happening out there because the last thing they want to talk about is the economy or Russian troops in Syria. The Council for American Islamic Relations (CAIR), an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest Islamic terrorist funding case, the Holy Land Foundation, came out to demand Dr. Ben Carson drop out of the presidential race. Now, coming from an organization with ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, that shows some chutzpah. I think that fella Chuck Todd may be interested in this story, which I will share.

As reported by the Daily Mail, “Saudi Arabia on Monday beheaded a Syrian drug trafficker and a convicted murderer, taking to 100 the number of executions in the kingdom this year. The number of executions has surged in 2015 compared with the 87 recorded for all of last year. But it is still far below the record 192 which rights group Amnesty International said took place in 1995.

Syrian Ismael al-Tawm smuggled ‘a large amount of banned amphetamine pills into the kingdom’, said an interior ministry statement carried by the official Saudi Press Agency. He was beheaded in the northern region of Jawf. A separate statement said that Rami al-Khaldi was convicted of stabbing another Saudi to death and was executed in the western province of Taef.

Drug and murder convictions account for the bulk of executions in Saudi Arabia. The Berlin-based European Saudi Organisation for Human Rights said in a report that the death penalty in the kingdom is ‘often applied to powerless individuals with no government connection’. Ali Adubisi, the group’s director, has said that economic factors could be leading to a rise in drug crimes. Many are turning to the illegal business ‘because they are poor’, he said. According to London-based Amnesty, use of the death penalty for other than the ‘most serious crimes’ — premeditated killings — violates international law. Saudi judicial proceedings ‘fall far short’ of global norms of fairness, according to the rights watchdog. Under the Gulf state’s strict Islamic sharia legal code, drug trafficking, rape, murder, armed robbery and apostasy are all punishable by death.”

Hey drug dealers, be glad you live in Obama’s America where your sentences are commuted. And I think we should pay attention to the crime of “apostasy,” meaning you can be beheaded for conversion from Islam to Christianity and professing such. Oh…and remember, no non-Muslims are allowed in Mecca or Medina. Now folks, the venerable United Nations just announced Saudi Arabia as head of the U.N. Commission on Human Rights — ya just can’t make this stuff up.

Let’s have an honest discussion here. The precepts of Islam from the post-Mecca phase and certainly Sharia law, are inconsistent and at odds with the rule of law in America, our Constitution. Of course we are told that Saudi Arabia is our ally, and therefore we cannot and should not challenge them on their domestic politics. Hmm, that kinda sounds like our men and women in Afghanistan being told to turn a blind eye to the acts of child sexual abuse being committed by Afghan military and police officers — with a discernible punishment levied against those who take action. I do not hear many liberal media outlets speaking up against the actions of Saudi Arabia — maybe “Meet the Press” will discuss this on Sunday?

The U.S. Army has a simple motto, “This We’ll Defend.” When will we in Western civilization make the stand for the principles of liberty, freedom, and justice that need defense? Back in 1936 to 1939 the great Western powers, supposedly the beacons of liberty, sat back and did nothing when evil presented itself. Such is the case today and we tie ourselves up in knots with politically correct machinations cloaked in liberal media “gotcha” questions.

We prefer to create distractions rather than confront that which is inconsistent with our principles and values — heck, we surrender those principles and values before the enemy. We should not consider a country where anyone of another faith is not granted freedoms, liberties and access as an ally. We should not befriend any nation that would execute by beheading an individual who decides they can determine their own faith.

Anyone who believes the system of governance of Saudi Arabia or Iran is acceptable doesn’t understand the basic system of governance in America — or the West as a whole. And the day when we allow the one to infiltrate and dominate the other is the day when the light of liberty will be extinguished. Let’s stop allowing the liberal progressive media to dictate the dialogue with their infantile assertions. Let’s become deep thinkers once again.

Let us become defenders of American principles!
