It wasn’t supposed to be until year five that Iran would be able to buy or sell conventional weapons — yep, I’m laughing as well. The ink has barely dried, and next week Russia will be going through with selling the highly effective S-300 anti-aircraft missile system to Iran.
Of course this is the result of Vladimir Putin lifting the ban on the sale. But so what? After all, President Obama has already signed an agreement with the number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism. I guess this is just another example of Obama’s “flexibility” after reelection. I’m quite sure this will make another great exhibit in the billion-dollar Obama presidential library.
As reported by Fox News, “Despite a ban on arms shipments to Iran under international sanctions, Russia appears willing to proceed with the sale of advanced S-300 surface-to-air missiles to the country — in a development triggering objections from the Obama administration. “We have long expressed our concerns over reports of the possible sale of this missile system to the Iranians,” Pentagon spokesman Capt. Jeff Davis told Fox News.
Russia, along with the U.S. and others, was a party to the recently struck Iran nuclear agreement, which keeps the arms embargo in place for five more years. A State Department official told Fox News this specific S-300 missile system is not technically prohibited under United Nations sanctions or the nuclear deal. But the department does not want the sale to proceed. “We certainly object to it,” department spokesman John Kirby told reporters.”
Former U.S. Navy Admiral Kirby’s comment reminds me of another Naval officer who objected — Demi Moore’s character in “A Few Good Men” when she “strenuously objected” after her objection had been overruled. And so that’s just the way it is, the Obama administration objects and Putin overrules.
And how many more “loopholes” – er, excuses, will the Obama administration find in order to dismiss what is happening before our eyes? Iran is openly and obviously seeking to become a military power.
Here is simple southern logic: if there is an international ban on arms shipments to Iran for another five years, then how is this weapon system “not technically prohibited?” Are we supposed to be so stupid to believe that United Nations sanctions are different from international sanctions?
Why would we be willing to enter into an agreement with the number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism, which allows them to buy an anti-aircraft missile system? And guess what, we’ve already reported that Iran is looking at receiving fighter jets from China in exchange for oil. I suppose fighter jets are not considered as arms to be banned under international sanctions?
There is an ol’ saying — don’t wet my leg and tell me it’s raining outside.
Reuters first reported that Iran plans to sign the contract for four of the S-300 Russian missiles as soon as next week.” The text of the contract is ready and our friends will go to Russia next week to sign the contract,” Iran Defense Minister Hossein Dehghan reportedly said. When asked to characterize the capability of Russia’s S-300 air defense system, a U.S. defense official with knowledge of Russia’s weapons systems told Fox News, “This is a very capable weapons system that can bring down U.S. or Israeli jet aircraft.”
I would surmise that we now know fully why General Qassem Suleimani — you know, the head of the terrorist-listed Iranian Quds force who is also banned from international travel — was in Russia just recently, as we reported here.
Anyone familiar with the S-300 system will understand why Iran wants it. And if that be the purpose, it tells me two things: Iran has no intention of upholding any agreement and if they get these first four systems, they are daring an air attack. Maybe President Obama could have an exhibit in his billion dollar presidential library of an S-300 system?
But folks, this is not even the end. There is more. Courtesy of our friends at Palestianian Media Watch, “Iranian TV (Al-Alam) interviewed fighters from the Gaza branch of Fatah’s (Palestinian Authority) Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, while standing inside an attack tunnel claimed to be 3.5 km long, and opening inside Israel. The purpose of the tunnel is to facilitate larger scale terror attacks from Gaza into Israel. The announcement that Fatah’s Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades, internationally recognized as a terror organization, is asking for money from Iran comes at the same time that the PA has announced that Mahmoud Abbas will be vising Iran. As Palestinian Media Watch reported yesterday, senior PLO official Abbas Zaki, said that strengthening ties with Iran is “an inevitable step if we [the Palestinians] want to confront the Israeli occupation.”
You don’t have to take my word for it, watch the video.
You just cannot make this stuff up folks and sadly, Obama just signed off for $150 billion to be given immediately to Iran. Oh, and how many Jewish rabbis have signed onto a letter to support the JCPOA? I believe the number is 340. Plus the very Rev. Al Sharpton is pressuring black churches and pastors to support the JCPOA. What part of “stuck on stupid” am I missing here? Maybe President Obama can have a replica of a Palestinian terrorist tunnel as an exhibit in his billion dollar presidential library.
Ladies and gents, feel free to share this with your congressional representatives and senators. Iran is not only continuing their belligerence, they are preparing for something greater. And on the world stage, they are now the big kahuna thanks to the reticence and abject weakness displayed by the “leadership” of President Obama.
You know, the news cycle will probably be all about two female soldiers who graduated Ranger School. Thanks to President Obama, they’ll be putting those skills to the test really soon, especially after 40,000 Soldiers are cut from the active duty Army.
