Bam! Scott Walker SKEWERS Hillary Clinton with one tweet

In case you missed it yesterday, Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton trotted out her plan to make college “more affordable” and “free” for families. In other words, her plan to earn buy votes from younger voters. Pretty standard liberal pie-in-the-sky, money’s-no-object, liberal socialist utopia kind of stuff.

Via Townhall:

Today, I’m announcing my plan to put college within reach for everyone. We’re calling it the New College Compact. Here are the basics:

-Under the New College Compact, no student should have to borrow to pay tuition at a public college.
-Schools will have to control their costs and show more accountability to their students.
-States will have to meet their obligation to invest in higher education.
-The federal government will increase its investment in education, and won’t profit off student loans.
-And millions with student debt will be able to refinance it at lower rates.

That’s my plan. It’s ambitious—and we should be ambitious. But it’s also achievable. And it would make a big difference in people’s lives.

Of course, what the Democrat candidate doesn’t mention is how she — er, WE the taxpayers — will pay for the plan, other than vague mentions of forcing states to “meet their obligation” and the federal government increasing its investment and not profiting from student loans. Liberals don’t like to drag down their fantasy visions with pesky little details like how we’d pay for them.

Interestingly, what Mrs. Clinton also doesn’t mention are ideas like cutting RIDICULOUS university costs, such as paying someone hundreds of thousands of dollars to simply speak on campus. I mean, that probably never happens, right?

Too bad for Clinton, GOP presidential candidate Scott Walker was paying attention — and wasn’t about to let Mrs. Clinton’s standard-fare, blatant hypocrisy go unchecked. As Walker tweeted:

.@HillaryClinton I’ve frozen in-state tuition rates for four years, while you charged colleges $225K+ just to show up. -SW

BOOM! Well played, Mr. Walker. Well played.

As Townhall continues: Walker is referencing Clinton’s habit of charging public universities a $225,000 (at least) speaking fee after she left the State Department. Between 2014 and 2015 Bill and Hillary Clinton raked in more than $25 million in speaking fees from public universities, non-profits and businesses.

Now, the question is, are any of Clinton’s would-be supporters paying attention too? And will they take their blinders off, finally, to see the candidate for who she really is?
