Bobby Jindal makes decision about running for president

Well, Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal has official thrown his hat in the ring for president. Today he tweeted:

That brings the GOP field now to !67,432 candidates. Just kidding. A little.

As NBC Nightly News says: Jindal, 44, was first elected governor of Louisiana in 2007. The conservative Indian-American lawmaker is considered a longshot for the GOP nomination. In the latest NBC/WSJ poll, he received less than one percent support from Republican primary voters.

Once viewed as a rising star in the Republican party, he has recently struggled with low approval ratings in his home state amid budget problems.

But Jindal backers argue that he has an impressive resume that will appeal to many key parts of the GOP primary electorate. He has been an outspoken advocate for Christian values and boasts of deep cuts to spending in his home state.

I certainly wish the Governor well, as I do all GOP candidates. But I have to say this is beginning to feel a little ridiculous. Do we need one candidate for every state in the union for goodness sake?

You know what? I may consider running as well. After all, we could use another woman in the race…
