University students use dumbest rationale ever to oppose Chick-fil-A on campus

I never realized a chicken sandwich and waffle-cut fries could cause such OUTRAGE among the left, but when they’re cooked by CHRISTIANS, they do.

Chick-Fil-A is now under attack at Johns Hopkins University because of its owner’s stand on traditional marriage. But it’s not even the actual reality of Chick-fil-A – it’s the mere THOUGHT of Chick-Fil-A, which can apparently cause severe trauma in certain sensitive brains.

The Daily Caller reports that the Johns Hopkins University Student Government Association actually created “A Resolution Regarding the SGA’s Opinion on Current and Future Chick-Fil-A Development Plans.”

The resolution attempts to prevent Chick-fil-A from operating on campus “in a current or future sense.”

The student government stated it “vehemently opposes” Chick-fil-A CEO Dan Cathy’s opposition to gay marriage.

Because of Cathy’s views, the student government argues, “visiting prospective and current students, staff, faculty, and other visitors who are members of the LGBTQ+ community (by the way, as we reported yesterday, there are a lot of other interesting proclivities after that “plus”) or are allies would be subjected to the microaggression of supporting current or future Chick-fil-A development plans.”

The resolution suggests that in searching for food vendors on campus, the university should “seek out other similar non-discriminatory alternatives.”

“Microagression?” Is that even visible to the naked eye?

Why do these colleges even pretend to be forums for open discussion of ideas and free speech? I guess a degree in “Liberal Arts” really is, literally. If it ain’t liberal, it ain’t art. And if it’s not liberal it’s not even allowed on campus.

Let me just say I am subject to the “microagression” of having to acknowledge Barack Obama was elected president TWICE – and we still have two more years left. So I do this for a living.

I am subject to the “microagression” of deeply offensive lyrics in popular music and the hyper-sexualized images in music videos. So I just don’t listen to it.

I am subject to the “microagression” of Hollywood types like Sean Penn and Gwyneth Paltrow spouting inane liberal comments. So I won’t pay a penny to see their films.

So if folks at JHU are so incensed by the mere presence of a Chick-fil-A on campus, how ‘bout they simply NEVER GO IN?

Our freedoms are under assault by the tyranny of the minority, and the majority is being cowed into silence for fear of being labeled intolerant, homophobic or racist.

I am really sick and tired of the left telling me what I can and cannot think. And keep your hands off my nuggets!

So much for the “free exchange of ideas.” It’s only a free exchange on the modern university campus if you agree with the groupthink totally.

I love how college students always think that they know everything and their opinion is the best and only one.

I’m probably one of the few insane parents that do this. But with two college aged kids, I actually considered school’s political policies before my kids could apply. I have smart kids but I refused to send my money to some universities that I deemed extreme left just so they can brainwash my kids. Unfortunately some of these schools are good schools but I think these policies will be their demise. And also I know a lot of recent grads from some of these schools and their not getting hired. I think businesses are catching on that these grads are… Read more »

The more left the university is the more likely it has a flourishing Muslim Student Movement which is dedicated to the demise of the USA and the killing or enslavement of Americans. Why would anyone not want to investigate the school?

Good for you. All parents who care about their kids should do that.

< WILSON… There are only two ways to truly manage weight, through eating healthy and exercising but if you use these in addition to eating better and getting some exercise, they can speed up the process. There are many different contributing factors to losing/gaining weight, also absolutely FREE

Right because in college you can scream and yell and stomp and get all riled up all you want about stupid crap, but in the real world your employer does not care that you don’t like Chick-fil-A. . . .at all. In fact you might not get hired because your employer really does not want you to embarrass them with your nonsense one day – so go ahead and get it out of your system at school. In the real world you need to pay your damn rent.

Free market is working for Chick Fil A. They have opened a lot of new stores. Out neighborhood Chick Fil A actively supports charity and has awesome staff. The drive thru line is bumper to bumper full circle around the building even though they serve customers quickly and accurately. Too bad our schools don’t teach much on economic facts and the constitution

At CSU in Charleston SC, the ONLY fast food establishment on campus is Chick-Fil-A!

Glad I live in Alabama . We may be pregnant and barefoot , but we don’t put up with the crap I see on TV and FB . Marriage has been a sacaride institution for a very long time . I understand equality for all and agree to the most part . Gay people are trying to wipe the stigma away from there way of life by calling into question what has been the normal way things have been . But they are asking us to bend our beliefs to theirs which is why hackles are being raised . Why… Read more »

I agree with the point made toward the end of the article, “So if folks at JHU are so incensed by the mere presence of a Chick-fil-A on campus, how ‘bout they simply NEVER GO IN” It is using common sense, don’t support what you disagree with, and support those things you do. Oh…I forgot…when it comes to the government and the liberal left, their motto is, “If it makes sense, avoid it at all costs!”
