Khorosan group: Obama’s completely bogus invention

I still remember the movie with Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro called “Wag the Dog.” It was all about a Hollywood-generated combat operation to deceive the American people — it was loosely related to Bill Clinton’s desire to shift attention from the Monica Lewinsky issue. Heck there are plenty of folks who still believe Roosevelt knew about Pearl Harbor but let it happen. Or even modern day conspiracy theorists who deny Osama bin Laden, al-Qaida, and 19 Islamic jihadists had anything to do with the 9-11 attacks.

However, why don’t we hear anyone questioning Barack Hussein Obama about the so-called “humanitarian disaster” that prompted our U.S. intervention to arm and support Islamists in Libya? I’m not aware of any massive slaughter of people by Gadaffi, especially in comparison to that of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad. Deception? And why? Heck, we fail to ask the only pertinent question about what happened at Benghazi — was the anti-Islam video a false narrative? If it was — which we all know to be true — then why was the false narrative created? Well, it’s simple, you only create a false narrative for the purpose of deceiving — kinda like, “If you like your doctor you can keep your doctor”

So this piece penned by my friend Andy McCarthy at the National Review is quite interesting. McCarthy says the newly-named Khorasan group doesn’t exist — it is a fictitious name invented by the Obama administration for the purpose of deception.

“The president has been compelled to act against a jihad that has neither ended nor been “decimated.” The jihad, in fact, has inevitably intensified under his counterfactual worldview, which holds that empowering Islamic supremacists is the path to security and stability. Yet even as war intensifies in Iraq and Syria — even as jihadists continue advancing, continue killing and capturing hapless opposition forces on the ground despite Obama’s futile air raids — the president won’t let go of the charade. Hence, Obama gives us the Khorosan Group. The who? There is a reason that no one had heard of such a group until a nanosecond ago, when the “Khorosan Group” suddenly went from anonymity to the “imminent threat” that became the rationale for an emergency air war there was supposedly no time to ask Congress to authorize.”

It is rather perplexing that an Islamic terrorist group no one had been tracking – well – except for Eric Holder who says he’d known about it for two years — all of a sudden becomes a household name. However, in less than a week we have heard nothing more since the first-night bombing of eight Khorasan targets — which supposedly killed the leader of the group.

So is there really a Khorasan group? McCarthy believes not, “The “Khorosan Group” is al-Qaida. It is simply a faction within the global terror network’s Syrian franchise, “Jabhat al-Nusra.” Its leader, Mushin al-Fadhli (believed to have been killed in this week’s U.S.-led air strikes), was an intimate of Ayman al-Zawahiri, the emir of al-Qaida who dispatched him to the jihad in Syria. Except that if you listen to administration officials long enough, you come away thinking that Zawahiri is not really al-Qaida, either. Instead, he’s something the administration is at pains to call “core al-Qaida.” “Core al-Qaida,” you are to understand, is different from “Jabhat al-Nusra,” which in turn is distinct from “al-Qaida in Iraq” (formerly “al-Qaida in Mesopotamia,” now the “Islamic State” al-Qaida spin-off that is, itself, formerly “al-Qaida in Iraq and al-Sham” or “al-Qaida in Iraq and the Levant”). That al-Qaida, don’t you know, is a different outfit from al-Qaida in the Arabian Peninsula . . . which, of course, should never be mistaken for “al-Qaida in the Islamic Maghreb,” “Boko Haram,” “Ansar al-Sharia,” or the latest entry, “al-Qaida in the Indian Subcontinent.”

So really what the Obama administration is attempting to replicate — badly – is the old Abbott and Costello “who’s on first” routine. Now that sketch is comical even today — and the Obama administration does provide a good laugh and humor — not to us, but to our Islamo-fascist and jiahdist enemy.

You see, Obama can’t bring himself to admit he was wrong — the essence of a self-absorbed narcissist — and even worse, his loyal kool-aid drinking acolytes can’t either. Obama declared two years ago that “Osama bin Laden is dead and al-Qaida has been decimated and on the run.” Well, as ESPN College Gameday commentator Lee Corso would say, “Not so fast my friend” — with his trusted pencil. What was once al-Qaida in Iraq is indeed now ISIS. And the group Jabhat al-Nusra was created in Syria and is the representation of al-Qaida in Syria. So the Obama administration has basically created a new “boogeyman” to deceive the American people from understanding that al-Qaida is thriving — clearly not decimated.

So you have to ask, who is the mastermind behind the scenes creating the deception? Valerie Jarrett? David Axelrod? Maybe we’ll soon have Steven Spielberg playing Dustin Hoffman’s character played in “Wag the Dog.”

As McCarthy writes, “Coming soon, al-Qaida on Hollywood and Vine.”

Obama is incredulous that the world didn’t submit to his radiance and run about fields of daisies singing and playing harps in tranquility. But instead of being angry at the Islamo-fascist and jihadists — Obama and his progressive socialist lefty cronies aim their angst at the “real enemy” — those pesky constitutional conservatives and those hate-filled Islamophobes.

It’s far easier to rant about “let me make myself clear, ISIS is not Islamic” — nah, they’re just wayward Amish fellas. And his highness the theologian-in-chief admonishes us all last week stating that “Islam reaches peace” — yep, and Obama is upholding his oath of office to “faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of his ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.”

The most transparent administration in history is nothing more than a really good sham and collection of deceptive con artists. The sad thing is that whether purposeful or not, the incompetence and progressive socialist ideology forces them to do what they do best — instill fear, coerce, intimidate, lie, and deceive — all at the expense of our life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness.

  1. It’s ALL made up. Obama could not get us into Syria, so ISIL was created. Four divisions of well armed well trained Iraqis ran from 1000 media-types??? Bullshot, Mr. Han man!

  2. Just like Liberals became ‘Progressives’ so we think they are something other than the failure Liberals are, they just re-branded as a head fake. Despicable horse turds actually believe they are the smartest people on the planet.

  3. We went in because Libya needed a Rothchilds Central Bank really, really bad! Actually they didn’t, but we gave them one anyway.

  4. At this point on the game, with all the inaccuracies, false information and total ineptness this president has shown, why would anyone believe anything that comes out of his mouth??

  5. Interesting point of view Mr West.
Because you were unaware of a new organization being put together, you don’t believe it exists and was made up for convenience sake.

Wow, if that were true, Republicans in Congress would be having a field day taking the President apart on this… but they’re not. Hmmm… maybe because, unlike you, they don’t get their intel from opinion pieces written by other anti-Obama editorialists.

It’s funny that at the top of this article you mentioned Clinton’s distraction from Lewinsky.
I’m guessing your referring to his same day strikes against Al Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan and the chemical factory in Sudan… which were in direct response to the attacks on our embassies in Kenya and Tanzania.

The funny part of that story is that back in 1998, anti-Clinton editorialists said it was a political diversion and that Al Qaeda was a made up threat.

      • Didn’t you know? Turns out Obama made a fool of himself during his early days in office at more than one of his morning intel briefings and that was eroding confidence in his abilities. So instead of asking for help getting caught up with what was going on in the meetings, so he could ask reasonable questions and offer reasonable suggestions, he solved the problem by having them drop the report off and he reads them at his leisure…or not.

      • I’m glad you got a laugh kid.
Is there anything I actually wrote that was incorrect or do you just resort to childish remarks when you don’t like something you read but are incapable of actually refuting it?

      • Yep, all of it. How does one go about refuting such misguided allegiance? Khorasan is al Qaida; Everyone knows it is al Qaida, renamed by this administration in order to cover their lies and incompetence in their dealings in the Middle East. There are people who study the Middle East there whole lives who have told us that Khorasan is just a new name for an old terrorist group. I know it is complicated, but it is along the same lines as the president proclaiming that the Islamic State is not Islamic! If he calls the group Khorasan, he can continue to pretend that al Qaida is on the run. If he pretends that ISIS is not made up of militant islamists, then Islam is still a peaceful religion!

    • Al CIAda is a complete fabrication of the CIA. The Central Intelligence Agency has completely destabilized the Middle East so that they could install a Rothchild’s Central bank in those countries… You know the lone hold out at this point? Take a guess…

  6. When you mentioned Gaddafi, I was reminded of his all female personal bodyguards. Recently, we’ve learned that male Muslims will not get 72 catholic nuns if they are killed by a female. Could this be the reason for the female guards?

  7. Sounds less like “Wag the Dog” and more like George Lucas’ “The Phantom Menace,” where you create an enemy for your forces to fight and all the while nobody realizes that you are controlling both sides.

  8. Obama reminds me of the Lion in an African tale in the book, “The People Could Fly” called “He Lion, Bruh Bear and Bruh Rabbit:”…..Say that he Lion would get up each and every mornin’. Stretch and walk around. He’d roar, “ME AND MYSELF, ME AND MYSELF, like that. Scare all the little animals so they were afraid to come outside in the sunshine. Afraid to go fishin’ or what ever little animals wanted to do…. “What we gone do about it?” they[our legislators] asked one another. Squirrel leapin from branch to branch, just scared. possum playin, couldn’t hardly move him.

  9. Obama summed up in repetitive phraseology:

I, me, my. It’s their fault. I, me, my. It’s their fault. I, me, my. It’s their fault. I, me, my. It’s their fault. I, me, my …

  10. Is the reason you keep insisting that Obama is stupid and doesn’t know what he is doing because the alternative is too alarming? Maybe if you and others would stop thinking this way, you would do something. The man is evil and insidious, and is having great success in bringing the U.S. down. WAKE UP!!!

  11. Of course they are a real group – they are real people who are now really dead. They made for real threats to our society and became real targets and are now, I repeat, really dead.

Yes, they are a group within a group, but they were/ are the hardest of the hardliners.

Instead of whining about the words Obama uses as he kills REAL threats, maybe West can show some support for a president during a time of war … oh, wait, that’s what a patriot would do. My bad.

  12. I am surprised we the American public have let this rat run loose for so long…………oh wait, after watching videos of the intellectual giants in the Obama camp I am not surprised.
