Christian pastor in Iran faces death for “spreading corruption on earth”

Well, we know how ISIS feels about Christians and apparently the mad mullahs and ayatollahs in Iran don’t want to be upstaged.

According to Fox News, “An Iranian Christian pastor already imprisoned for his faith now faces the death penalty after being hit with a bizarre new charge called “spreading corruption on Earth.” Supporters fear the worst for Pastor Behnam Irani, who was sentenced to six years in prison in 2011 for his Christian activities, including leading a 300-member evangelical congregation in Karaj, a city less than 15 miles outside the capital, Tehran. He is now being held in solitary confinement and suffering numerous health problems, including internal bleeding, according to advocacy group Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW).”

Iran still holds American Christian pastor, Saeed Abedini, in prison and it seems the Obama administration cares little. We’ve witnessed once again the true colors of Islam in the case of Meriam Ibrahim and her travails in Sudan. Thanks be to God that international pressure and awareness forced the Sudanese to release her and she is now safe here in America with her husband and children.

Now, I want you all — especially the cultural jihad apologists — to ponder what if the United States brought charges of “spreading corruption on earth” against a Muslim Imam who had been delivering messages in mosques to radicalize Americans? Y’all know that the Council for Islamic Relations would scream from the rafters and the ACLU would take the case and state that the Imam’s first amendment rights were violated. Why? Because we operate under a system of political correctness and cultural-religious relativism.

CNS News says “CSW Chief Executive Mervyn Thomas told the website BosNewsLife.com that his group is “deeply concerned by the new charges against Pastor Irani” especially the charge of spreading corruption on Earth.” “The charges leveled against Pastor Irani and other Christians are tantamount to an indictment of Christianity itself and mark a renewed escalation in Iran’s campaign against Persian Christians under the Rouhani presidency,” Thomas said in a statement.”

Ah yes, Iranian President Hasan Rouhani, the fella we were all told was a moderate and nowhere near as radical as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Well, that’s far from the truth.

As CNS says, “Rouhani has presided over a brutal crackdown on Iran’s Christian community. Rouhani and the religious mullahs he answers to have been particularly concerned about the spread of Christianity and conversion into its Muslim population. “There are a lot of people who are disgruntled with the government and many for comfort and peace in their lives are turning to Christianity,” Jason DeMars, founder of Present Truth Ministries, which sponsors Christian churches and outreach in the Middle East, told FoxNews.com. “That’s a threat to the regime.”

Yes, that so very gentle “religion of peace,” the charmed favorite of the “coexist” crowd has once again shown us exactly what its concept of coexistence means. And remember that no infidel, or kafir, is allowed to enter the cities of Mecca or Medina — not that I was considering a vacation there.

But imagine the precedence of labeling Christianity as spreading corruption on earth would mean. Of course all it would take is for some hardcore Islamic jurist to hand down a decision, and viola, the deviant acolytes of Allah have religious justification to eradicate Christianity. All the while we sit around and fear speaking out against Islam and its history of violence — as ISIS is reminding the world. Well, not all of us are afraid.

Never forget that in Islam, the punishment for apostasy, or turning from Islam, is death. And somehow we in the West grant this theocratic-political totalitarian ideology a position of equality and some speak of it as a “great religion.” I will not, and never will until Islam undergoes a reformation to bring it into compliance with the modern world where individual freedoms are respected.

And folks, just take a gander at the comments, which will no doubt appear below, from the cultural jihadist apologists and relativists who will strain to denigrate the Christian faith and make statements such as “all religions are bad.” Go ahead. Make my day.

Mr West… in your fourth paragraph, you mocked the idea of Americans standing up for religious freedom in the First Amendment as “political correctness.” It is terrible an barbaric that the extremists running Iran would sentence a Christian to death just for being a christian. We should all condemn these extremists as backwards and barbaric. But it is ignorant to think the mullahs running Iran represent the beliefs of all muslims. Your condemnation of all muslims is ignorant and it is clear that you are just using the barbaric actions and beliefs of extremists as an excuse to justify your… Read more »

Read the Koran. It clearly says to slay the idolaters who will not convert. Last time I checked, all Muslims believe in the Koran.

The Bible says it too.
yet moderate religious people have been able to keep their faith while disregarding many archaic passages.
Yes… the followers of the Bible have all pretty much civilized… but so have most of the followers of the Koran.

Yes… muslim extremists are barbarians and a very real threat.
But not all muslims are extremists. The overwhelming majority have put the barbarism behind them

The New Testament, which is what Christians live by, does not say it is ok to kill anyone. And “Thou Shalt not kill” is one of the ten commandments.

Why are you quoting the Ten Commandments if you don’t believe in the Old Testament?

Only in your mind.
Moderate muslims have been living in peace with non muslims and also fighting extremists for years .

“Moderates” have been fighting extremists for years? Oh you mean the Sunni/Shia schism. .. over who can be more extreme… You’re obviously right… and obviously COMPLETELY uninformed about the Quran…

I’d recommend research. Specifically in conjuction with the Hadiths and contemporary biographers… ie Tabari, ibn Ishaq, and Hisham. All respected Muhammed biographers, deemed credible by Muslims.

Simply put, you are so horribly wrong… but how systematically wrong you are is more complex.

I’ll await your research.

If you need more clues, I’ll give you Suras and sections as necessary.

Odd, if Obama does not care about this pastor, as West claims, then why is his Sec. of State making such a big deal about it.

Mr. West, the cultural jihad apologists in the USA agree that Christians should be persecuted. In their mind there is no double-standard. Christians (and I am one) need to do a better job of communicating that Jesus is the only Prince of Peace, but until that is understood by the majority, fools will be influenced by evil.

To condemn all Muslims like allen (buy my tee shirts) west is exactly like condemning all Catholics for the actions of a few priest!

If funny when American’s travel abroad and don’t research the culture they are going to. Some rights only are RIGHTS in the united states…respect other cultures!

“Y’all know that the Council for Islamic Relations would scream from the rafters and the ACLU would take the case and state that the Imam’s first amendment rights were violated. Why? Because we operate under a system of political correctness and cultural-religious relativism.” No, it would be because we operate under a system of religious liberty as enshrined in the first amendment to the Constitution. This would be a gross violation of human rights no matter which government did it to which minority religion. How in the hell can you call yourself an American patriot and not understand that?

oh yes they are all so civilized. Like the man who ran over his daughter and killed her and ran over her boyfriend and injured him? You know the one right here in America, in Arizona. Civilized my ass. Peaceful MY ASS>

The peace of Islamism is peace through the total annihilation or subjugation of all opposition, of all who will not conform to their dogma.

You clowns are just as destructive. Your imaginary “War on Christmas” and “American was founded on Christian values” makes you push your agenda whenever possible. You complain about the attracts of Christians around the world, but ignore the attracts on Muslims Americans and Jews in this country. You love sticking the Constitution in people faces, but refuse to listen when they want to use the same rights. If the founding fathers wanted this country to be a Christian nation, they would have put it on paper.
Grow up, clowns.

Gotcha. . . .I’ll unplug the assertions. Have fun, and do’t take life and issues to seriously. After all, it’s only the internet and most people use it to kill time and post their worthless comments. Nobody ever listened to them before while they suffered from depression or being a classic introvert. But NOW . . .posting and going “World Wide” is a wonderful therapy for them. Enjoy your adventure. Ciao
