As you are reading this missive, I’m traveling to Paducah (McCracken County) Kentucky to speak there Friday evening.
I remember when I graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in May 1997 and our family took off driving from Ft. Leavenworth to Ft. Bragg, NC. Angela was in her BMW and as I drove the Nissan Pathfinder. Aubrey had just turned 4 years old and Austen was a tiny little 7 month bundle. Somehow we made it to our first day destination, which was Paducah, Kentucky, and stayed overnight. I am so looking forward to returning and seeing the great Americans there where we shall talk about restoring America.
Then Saturday I will be off, back to Colorado, this time to Montrose out in the western part of the state. Saturday we’ll have a grand time as part of the Lincoln-Reagan Dinner there and we’ll examine the meaning of patriotism. A few weeks ago, I was in Denver for the Western Conservative Summit, and we had a great family Christmas last year in Steamboat Springs.
So two great topics for the weekend: “restoring America” and “patriotism” — two topics I doubt liberal progressive socialists will be discussing at their gatherings.
My travels will take me through several airports: Atlanta, Nashville, Denver, Montrose, and Tampa. I know we sometimes give the TSA agents a hard time — but most are good folks trying to deal with bad rules. So I look forward to seeing them and giving them a “thumbs up.”
