Sometime late Friday evening news broke that
talks appeasement with Iran over their nuclear program broke down and will be extended out to November under the initial agreement made. In other words, Iran bought time and as we reported last week, time is not on our side when it comes to the Islamic totalitarian theocratic regime of the mad mullahs and ayatollahs. Iran is the world’s number one state sponsor of Islamic terrorism – I’m quite sure you will find Iran’s fingerprints all over Gaza and support for Hamas.
So to add insult to injury we have this report from Adam Kredo at the Washington Free Beacon saying, “The United States will give Iran access to another $2.8 billion over the next several months and appears to have conceded to Iran’s demand that it be permitted to domestically enrich uranium, the key component in a nuclear weapon.”
And in case you missed it, Obama decided to extend talks past the July 20 deadline. Don’t expect anything to happen until after the November midterm elections. How convenient.
According to Kredo’s report, “the United States already returned to Iran $4.2 billion in unfrozen oil assets during the past six months of the interim nuclear deal.” So in essence that which was best affecting Iran — hardline economic sanctions –is being relaxed while Iran proceeds with enriching uranium. Remember when Obama stated in his 2009 inaugural address, “we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist” – and even threw in a happy new year greeting in Farsi for a video to Iranians?
Kredo reports “As part of the JPOA [Joint Plan of Action] extension, Iran will be allowed access in tranches over the next four months to $2.8 billion from its restricted overseas assets.” Seems to me the only reason Iran is “unclenching its fist” is to collect the revenues flowing back to them. You see, in that part of the world, they only understand strength, power, and might — talking, negotiations and compromise are only seen as weakness.
The Obama administration missed a great opportunity in not supporting the Green Movement in Iran — the real reform movement in the Middle East replete with young Iranians who sought to overthrow the radical control of Islamists. Once again, I just have to ask, whose side is Obama on? Every day, the answer reveals itself.
I’d like to share with the Obama administration two seminal lessons I learned from my military combat experience:
1. Why do you kick a man when he’s down? Because he is close to your foot.
2. And from Marine 1SG (Ret) Jim Reifinger: “If you ever find yourself in a fair fight, it’s because your tactics suck.”
We should not seek a fair fight with Iran, a nation that has been engaged in terrorist actions against America since the Beirut bombing. Just as Hamas must be destroyed, so should the current Iranian regime be decimated and replaced with a secular leadership in the mold of Kemal Ataturk to restore individual liberty and freedom, rather than expand Islamist subjugation.
