Amidst celebrations for Bergdahl’s release, some unsettling questions

Everyone is celebrating the release of Army Sergeant Bowe Bergdahl, and we’re glad he’ll be home with his family in Idaho soon.

However, there are questions that must be answered – like, why did the young Soldier walk off his Forward Operating Base (FOB) back in 2009? It’s not the modus operandi for Islamic terrorists to detain American troops when captured, as we reported previously. Our troops are brutally, ritually, and savagely murdered — to include American security contractors (remember the Fallujah bridge) — not held for five years.

And to have this “deal” brokered in Qatar (supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood) calls for even more questions.

What we do know are the identities of the five Afghan Taliban who were released.

According to a report in the Weekly Standard, they are five of the most dangerous Taliban commanders in U.S. custody. The Taliban has long demanded that the “Gitmo 5” be released in order for peace talks to begin in earnest. The Obama administration has desperately sought to engage the Taliban as American forces are drawn down in Afghanistan, but those talks have gone nowhere to this point.

You see, when you’re not comfortable talking in terms of war and victory, you lose the battle of ideas and resolve. I want no part of peace with savages who throw acid on and gun down young girls going to school. I would prefer to crush them and kill them wherever they exist. That’s not being a warmonger. It’s being a realist.

The Weekly Standard reports that the freed detainees are among the Taliban’s top commanders in U.S. custody and are still revered in jihadist circles. Two of the five have been wanted by the UN for war crimes. And because of their prowess, Joint Task Force-Guantanamo (JTF-GTMO) deemed all five of them “high” risks to the U.S. and its allies. The Obama administration wants to convince the Taliban to abandon its longstanding alliance with al-Qaida. But these men contributed to the formation of that relationship in the first place. All five had close ties to al-Qaida well before the 9/11 attacks. Therefore, it is difficult to see how their freedom would help the Obama administration achieve one of its principal goals for the hoped-for talks.

This represents another of Obama’s unilateral actions because there was no consult with Congress. If one of these five beasts ends up being responsible for the deaths of a single American, the blood will be clearly on President Obama’s hands. Furthermore, there is a Marine Sergeant, Andrew Tahmooressi, who is just south of the border held illegally. Obama already freed some 36,000 criminal illegal immigrants — that should suffice as a trade to have SGT Tahmooressi come home.

Here are short bios for each of the five Taliban commanders. All quotes are drawn from declassified and leaked documents prepared at Guantanamo.

Mullah Mohammad Fazl (Taliban army chief of staff): Fazl is “wanted by the UN for possible war crimes including the murder of thousands of Shiites.” Fazl “was associated with terrorist groups currently opposing U.S. and Coalition forces including al-Qaida, Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan (IMU), Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin (HIG), and an Anti-Coalition Militia group known as Harakat-i-Inqilab-i-Islami.” In addition to being one of the Taliban’s most experienced military commanders, Fazl worked closely with a top al-Qaida commander named Abdul Hadi al Iraqi, who headed al-Qaida’s main fighting unit in Afghanistan prior to 9/11 and is currently detained at Guantanamo.

Mullah Norullah Noori (senior Taliban military commander): Like Fazl, Noori is “wanted by the United Nations (UN) for possible war crimes including the murder of thousands of Shiite Muslims.” Beginning in the mid-1990s, Noori “fought alongside al-Qaida as a Taliban military general, against the Northern alliance.” He continued to work closely with al-Qaida in the years that followed.

Abdul Haq Wasiq (Taliban deputy minister of intelligence): Wasiq arranged for al-Qaida members to provide crucial intelligence training prior to 9/11. The training was headed by Hamza Zubayr, an al-Qaida instructor who was killed during the same September 2002 raid that netted Ramzi Binalshibh, the point man for the 9/11 operation. Wasiq “was central to the Taliban’s efforts to form alliances with other Islamic fundamentalist groups to fight alongside the Taliban against U.S. and Coalition forces after the 11 September 2001 attacks,” according to a leaked JTF-GTMO threat assessment.

Khairullah Khairkhwa (Taliban governor of the Herat province and former interior minister): Khairkhwa was the governor of Afghanistan’s westernmost province prior to 9/11. In that capacity, he executed sensitive missions for Mullah Omar, including helping to broker a secret deal with the Iranians. For much of the pre-9/11 period, Iran and the Taliban were bitter foes. But a Taliban delegation that included Kharikhwa helped secure Iran’s support for the Taliban’s efforts against the American-led coalition in late 2001. JTF-GTMO found that Khairkhwa was likely a major drug trafficker and deeply in bed with al-Qaida. He allegedly oversaw one of Osama bin Laden’s training facilities in Herat.

Mohammed Nabi (senior Taliban figure and security official): Nabi “was a senior Taliban official who served in multiple leadership roles.” Nabi “had strong operational ties to Anti-Coalition Militia (ACM) groups including al-Qaida, the Taliban, the Haqqani Network, and the Hezb-e-Islami Gulbuddin (HIG), some of whom remain active in ACM activities.” Intelligence cited in the JTF-GTMO files indicates that Nabi held weekly meetings with al-Qaida operatives to coordinate attacks against U.S.-led forces.

We are sending a very dangerous message. Welcome home SGT Bergdahl, but I am concerned about the five released and why you abandoned your duty station.

  1. Why did this soldier’s father speak in Arabic when up there with Obama? Why did his father tweet this:

    • Daddy Bergdahl’s now deleted Tweet

“I am still working to free all Guantanamo prisoners. God will repay for the death of every Afghan child, ameen!—
      Robert Bergdahl (@bobbergdahl) May 28, 2014”

    • The more I learn the more I think this guy was a deserter . If captured he would have been filmed and beheaded. I think him and his father have Muslim ties. And Obama is not fooling anybody. He has Muslim brotherhood in the white house even his brother is a member of the Muslim brotherhood. Are we powerless to do anything about Obama ?

  2. Colonel West, Please investigate the following account of Bergdahl’s disappearance:

Thomas Owens Forwarded from Jeff Howard: We were at OP
Mest, Paktika Province, Afghanistan. It was a small outpost where B Co 1-501st
INF (Airbone) ran operations out of, just an Infantry
platoon and ANA counterparts there. The place was an Afghan graveyard. Bergdahl
had been acting a little strange, telling people he wanted to “walk the
earth” and kept a little journal talking about how he was meant for better
things. No one thought anything about it. He was a little “out there”. Next
morning he’s gone. We search everywhere, and can’t find him. He left his
weapon, his kit, and other sensitive items. He only took some water, a compass
and a knife. We find some afghan kids shortly after who saw an american walking
north asking about where the taliban are. We get hits on our voice intercepter
that Taliban has him, and we were close. We come to realize that the kid
deserted his post, snuck out of camp and sought out Taliban… to join them. We
were in a defensive position at OP Mest, where your focus is to keep people
out. He knew where the blind spots were to slip out and that’s what he did. It
was supposed to be a 4-day mission but turned into several months of active
searching. Everyone was spun up to find this guy. News outlets all over the
country were putting out false information. It was hard to see, especially when
we knew the truth about what happened and we lost good men trying to find him.
PFC Matthew Michael Martinek, Staff Sgt. Kurt Robert Curtiss, SSG Clayton
Bowen, PFC Morris Walker, SSG Michael Murphrey, 2LT Darryn Andrews, were all
KIA from our unit who died looking for Bergdahl. Many others from various units
were wounded or killed while actively looking for Bergdahl. Fighting Increased.
IEDs and enemy ambushes increased. The Taliban knew that we were looking for
him in high numbers and our movements were predictable. Because of Bergdahl,
more men were out in danger, and more attacks on friendly camps and positions
were conducted while we were out looking for him. His actions impacted the
region more than anyone wants to admit. There is also no way to know what he
told the Taliban: Our movements, locations, tactics, weak points on vehicles
and other things for the enemy to exploit are just a few possibilities. The Government
knows full well that he deserted. It looks bad and is a good propaganda piece
for the Taliban. They refuse to acknowledge it. Hell they even promoted him to
Sergeant which makes me sick. I feel for his family who only want their
son/brother back. They don’t know the truth, or refuse to acknowledge it as
well. What he did affected his family and his whole town back home, who don’t
know the truth. Either way what matters is that good men died because of him.
He has been lying on all those Taliban videos about everything since his
“capture”. If he ever returns, he should be tried under the UCMJ for being a
deserter and judged for what he did. Bergdahl is not a hero, he is not a
soldier or an Infantryman. He failed his brothers. Now, sons and daughters are
growing up without their fathers who died for him and he will have to face that
    truth someday.”

    • Very disconcerting. If he did indeed search out the Taliban and turn, what is his assignment once he gets to the US?

  3. Yes, this story is creating more questions faster than we are getting answers. But I can only guess we will hear the truth soon.

    • The truth will probably come in the form of some extraordinary explosion, once again, in one of our major cities …. or who knows? Maybe even another shot at Charleston by the O, himself, to be stopped by another of our patriotic Americans who WON’T DO IT and do not mind angering the O.

  4. Why is it that when O does something that looks good, when the under belly of the action is investigated, there is some association with Jihadists.

    • Exactly what would that be helen willis? He released 5 of America’s worst enemies without Congressional approval. America does not negotiate with terrorists. Unless your name is Obama then you’re related to them. You have to be one of the blind supporters that helped put this farce in office twice……Did I mention this guy wasn’t captured? He willingly joined the enemy and should be shot on sight not rewarded as some sort of hero……Wake up!!

      • I don’t think she was in support of what O did. Her comment says that he is a friend to the Jihadists.

      • Glen – you might want to read her last sentence of the post again. She’s not supporting O.

      • Reread my post. Why is it that when O does something that LOOKS good… Not is good; the key word is looks, appears, seems. He traded for the soldier because he wanted to LOOK good to unthinking supporters who are desperate to hear something positive from his WH. O was, I thinking, hoping applause would follow and the applause would drown out his extremely idiotic approach to running the WH. He is, I believe, addicted to the sound of cheers because that is what he’s heard all his life – but for nothing. He spins his charms, gets into the swagger, and there you go: equals president of the United States. Wake up? You are telling me to wake up! Go back and read other posts. No, I did not vote for O and tried to tell those who planned to do so that he was a socialist and that he was determined to “redistribute” the wealth of people who were barely making ends meet. Oh, no, I think he is a Muslim and wants to make America a Muslim country, and I have believed that since the first time I heard him speak. He has, I believe, a serious problem with detachment. He is the only person he truly loves. His body language is loud and clear for anyone willing to listen, and I’ve been watching and listening.

    • Amazing, isn’t it? And I don’t believe for one minute that we got bin laden under this administration – he’s been dead for years!

    • Definitely the known resume’ of the 5 is quite impressive. All 5 traded for one soldier. What a POOR deal for the US! And of course Congress was not consulted, not even (apparently–asfar as we know) any high leaders of Congress in confidence!

  5. looks like Obama released five of his “friends” in exchange or bringing home a possible converted Islamist….what’s with the beard. our military needs to interrogate him thoroughly. again Obama broke the law and violated the constitution as he does most days.

  6. Since it was brokered by his Majesty, it stinks to high heaven. We have to know it’s not for the good of America.

  7. I’m getting more and more suspicious about this, all the way around. But we may have to take the hit on this one in order to get the American people to finally say, “Hey, about that middle name of yours, Barry…”

  8. The beginning question is why did our soldier walk off base. What motivated Our Beloved Dictator to negotiate his release for 5 really really bad men? Why now? Political move? More concern is message we are sending to our enemies (and they are real enemies). The future may find us facing more emboldened enemies. We are looking so very weak. It makes me sick.

  9. This is frightening. Why weren’t these terrorists killed? Did he walk off the base? I DIDNT know that.

  10. My first reaction when I heard this news was that we should never negotiate with terrorists. If we did, a soldier of equal rank would have been a fair exchange. Unless the 5 were drugged, implanted with homing devices, and droned, Otherwise, just what is our President up to now? Would Bowe or his family have agreed to this exchange, had they been consulted in the first place. Is Bowe part of the plan since they usually brutally murder or behead Americans on video tape. Something is fishy, especially when congress is bypassed knowing they most likely would not agree to releasing these dangerous high level Taliban without an execution plan. Makes one wonder, just whose side is this President on?

    • Seems everyone posting here is on one side, and the Administration is on the other.

Scary days ahead, Lord have mercy.

    • Sadly he’s repeatedly SHOWN US WHOSE SIDE HE’S ON…….HIS SIDE!!! He’s a selfish spoiled traitorous pos…..!

    • I really don’t think there is wonder any longer Wendy. Every day it is a new gig and all point toward a systematic take down of the United States. Each day it becomes more clear and for those who are sleeping, God help you.

  11. This is a disgrace! Once again Obama has shown weakness to the world. One mans life is never traded for the security of the world. American does not negotiate with terrorists. Yes, I do feel sorry for this young man and his family but what Obama just did goes directly to his lack of concern for the safety of AMERICA as a country. Our borders are wide open with illegals being transported to other cities and let loose into the population. Of course they are being trusted to come back in two weeks to see if they are going to be deported or not. That is utter BS. Please would somebody impeach this moron now???? How many more times does he need to weaken this country in the eyes of the world before we put an end to his treasonous reign?

  12. Whatever happened to Never Negotiating with terrorists. ….oh wait! This is the Obama Administration-loves our enemies-hates our allies

  13. Pres. O saves his tough negotiating skills for his deals with any political opponent.

What a BAD deal this is!

Am glad for Bergdahl, but agreeing…this stinks. And the resume’ of the five above is impressively SCARY!!!

  14. Have we reached the point where he is impeachable yet? He continues to ignore our laws and our Constitution. While I am happy for Sgt. Bergdahl and his family, I think the final cost of this transaction is yet to be written, and I am afraid it will be written in American blood, in the Middle East and on our soil as well, and every drop will be on his hands.

    • You’re happy for this Pacifist Son of Socialists and his family? He’s a deserter… and we just exchanged the five most dangerous Terrorists we had in captivity, to get this sick bastard back. They are WANTED by the UN for War Crimes, and our Dear Leader gently placed them back into the Snake Pit.

  15. …and now WATCH OUT any Americans traveling abroad, esp. to the Middle East! More may be grabbed as hostages…!

  16. This deserter and his whole family need some intense “rendering” at a few not so posh black hotels. obummer hoodwinked or in cahoots with the qatar MB faction? Why qatar?

  17. Nothing to see here…Our president is a skilled negotiator, with a great track record of knowing what he’s doing. ..Benghazi…ok so 1 slip up…The deficit. ..ok 2…The bail out of GM…ok, ok. So a couple of slip ups. But he has a great record building jobs, doesn’t he? Ok, surely his foreign relations record is without equal…ok, now I’m starting to worry…

    • 0 for 0…in the negatives, I believe. But don’t worry, Don, President Obama is a “skilled negotiator.” Right? And he still has 2 more years of his 2nd term to go…

  18. I also wonder why his father would address him on the air in the language of the enemy? There is something extremely fishy about this whole matter. I trust Obama as far as I could throw the White House. He is nothing but political and does not have America’s best interest át heart unless it furthers his interests.

  19. As usual, your spot on Sir..My roommate and I watched the news conference and something was just weird..Maybe it was all the touching by Obama on that guy’s wife, which was reciprocated..Maybe it was the Dad speaking fluent Afghan..All I know is both me and my roommate when it was over looked at each other and decided it looked staged..Imagine that..Then we realized it was..

  20. When is enough, enough with this lawless regime? Now they’re conspiring with the enemy behind the backs of Congress. Traitorous.

  21. 5 to 1 is no negotiation. I too am anxious to hear the Sergeant’s answers to those questions, but over the course of 5 years captivity, who knows the extent of his indoctrination?

  22. Dear Sir, you’ve got bring the Chinese the Indian’s and Israel with you on the broader platform, for ever lasting peace.

  23. Oh boy. Are we in for a rude awakening. So glad soldier was returned but at what cost? We will be kicking ourselves in the ass the next time another soldier is detained and Taliban wants more prisoners released. These were 5 of the most ruthless terrorists. Buckle up America, it’s going to be a bumpy ride

  24. He is a Timothy McVey in the waiting, only with much help this time around. And allowed to take place because of a Muslim president.

  25. So… Some Son of Socialists steps away from camp and “Surrenders” to the enemy, and our Dear Leader sidesteps the law, negotiates with terrorists, and hands over FIVE of the most dangerous criminals we have held in Gitmo to get the pacifist back?

Watch out Grandma…. you’re about to be swept off the streets of Paris by Islamic Terrorists, to be used in a whole new global game of Jihad Chess.

  26. I am not celebrating his return,he went AWOL!!
Men died looking for him. There are children without fathers b/c of his selfish actions!
Go ahead and flame me..The man is a traitor!!

  27. We should have done it this way:

Make the exchange of Bergdahl and the Gitmo 5, and then once Bergdahl’s safely away from the terrorists, have snipers eliminate them. Show the world who’s boss.

But no. Instead, we’re worried about what the rest of the world or our own ungrateful people would think of us for double-crossing terrorists…

  28. He just opened the door for them to kidnap American tourist to be held hostage and trade off for yet more detainees , this by far is the worse case of treasonbtht Oblamer has done thus far , he exposes us as weak, and more than likely was looking for a reason to get these 5 terrorist back in action in order to kill off more christians. This is an impeachable offence , by passing congress again Yet as usual Boehner will sit back and do nothing cause he is a full fledged RINO and supports everything tht this , ,administration does he is our version of Dirty Harry Reid , as far as the soldier tht they traded them for , he should be imprisoned the min he steps foot on American soil and tried for treason along side of president Oblamer. EricHolder , Harry Reid Nana Poloski and many more

  29. One America Soldier who walked away from his post for five Taliban Commanders. I would think we would be able to get one United States Marine who got lost at a border were the signs were down, when we released 36,000 illegals. AND that border is with a country that we are supposed to be “friends” with. Bergdahl situation is terrible, and we have set the precedence for hostage taking. But the SGT Andrew Tahmooressi situation is dereliction of duty.

    • The marine doesn’t deserve amnesty. He should have realized he couldn’t even be in California with those guns and transporting them the way he was. Had he done his homework and obeyed OUR laws first, he wouldn’t be in Mexican jail. The other situation with the deserter is sickening. All the ignorant people, which is a grand majority in this country, will see him as a hero.

      • I agree, the marine is a idiot. But I’m sure you guys are talking about me, so, how about a logical debate of facts rather than emotionally blindly supporting this guy? Got nothing?

      • Mexico is supposed to be a friend and partner of the US. We put up with the constant drug running and blatant unfettered crime going on in your sorry country spilling across our borders, and send millions of dollars in aid every single day. Any US military personnel or civilian found to be over the US/Mexican border whether by accident or deliberate should be returned to AMERICA immediately. The only border crossers kept in captivity in this country are the murdering thieving Mexican thugs that slime their way over the border and get caught furthering their life-long criminal careers. The rest of your country-men that illegally sneak into this country are treated with nothing but kindness and support. Wake up, you obviously spend a great deal of time watching CNN and other lame-brain liberal out-of-touch with reality American media or perhaps your very own version of puppet Mexican media.

      • Hahaha! I’m not sure where you come off thinking I’m from Mexico. Again, the way you describe thugs here and call me one above is interesting. If I were to list out my resume of service to this country, you and all the other blind veteran supporters on here would be all over my. . . well, to keep it clean, you would be calling me a hero. Two deployments? To me and my buddies, that guys is still cherry, a rookie. Read up on what’s going on down there. There are plenty of warnings about going to Mexico with weapons, to include knives. The US consulate in TJ has a page devoted to this. It adds that dozens of US citizens are arrested each MONTH in Mexico for this. This guy isn’t special. Just because this warning isn’t blasted every hour on news stations doesn’t mean we can plead ignorance. This guy isn’t a Marine anymore. He ETS’d a year and a half ago and has been a civilian since. The guy is nuts and does need help. He doesn’t need those weapons while running around in a state that other law abiding citizens don’t get to protect themselves. I don’t agree with the laws in that state, but the people there have to obey them. That’s called being civilized. If he doesn’t like it, he can go back home to Florida where you can carry like that. By the way, I watch Fox News probably just as much as you do, if not more. The problem with this situation, and a couple others, is they have their agenda also, not just reporting all the facts and circumstances. Don’t be brainwashed by any station, think critically and form your own opinion – that’s how I play it.

      • Ever been with your buddies at the bar and one of them picks a fight with someone they probably shouldn’t. When he starts getting his a$$ handed to him do you jump in and “blindly support him”, or are you the type to just watch? Sure the U.S. Marine made a mistake by illegally transporting a firearm. That doesn’t mean WE as Americans, or better yet, Brothers in Arms, don’t stick up for him.

      • Two different situations you are comparing. We don’t jump into a fight blindly. We choose to stick with our buddy even though we know he is in the wrong. The Marine’s situation is different than just a bar fight where everyone goes home and all is forgotten the next morning. He’s creating an international incident here. He’s responsible for his own actions. Just curious, where do you draw the line when you finally say don’t stick up for a brother in arms? I think a good solution for all is he gets extradited to the US, charged for state violations, placed on probation and that’s that. All of his advocates can save face and say, “We got him out of Mexico,” and he can still be held accountable for his actions without having to serve any more jail time. I’ve tried saying this before with some criticism though.

      • agreed, extradite him and let him face charges here. That would be getting him home and fine by me. Still chained to a bed in Mexico, is IMHO leaving him behind.
And yes I blindly jump into a fight when my friend is in need. Even if he is in the wrong. My point is it doesn’t matter what the situation is, bar fight, international incident, you stick by your Brother. PERIOD.

      • Two different situations you are comparing. We don’t jump into a fight blindly. We choose to stick with our buddy even though we know he is in the wrong. • Have you ever been there? The border between California and Mexico. Very easy to get confused. The sign for no U-turn was down. Not saying the guy wasn’t in violation of California state law. Not saying he should be immune from prosecution for violating said
        state law.

However, the United States has agreements with the country of Mexico. My point is if we can wheel and deal for a dip$hit who walked away from his post in a war zone, deserted his comrades during war in a war zone, we can get one of our vets back who crossed a border accidently. Let Mexico keep the ARs if that is the huge issue. The crime of transporting firearms across the border should be tossed aside (since the US Attorney General, Eric Holder, seems fit to transport many more firearms that just don’t look like military automatic rifles, but actually are military automatic rifles).

This Former US Marine is guilty of ignorance of the state law of California. To bad he didn’t have a better NCO mentor him on what to do when transporting firearms. just because someone makes a mistake doesn’t mean that he deserves to be chained to a bed for months in a Mexican prison. He is a Former Marine, you NEVER NEVER NEVER leave a comrade behind. jj gra, you served during combat, You understand this basic principle. And just because he isn’t “active duty” anymore doesn’t mean we as brothers just wash our hands of him. Just look at all the VA crap going on. Those Vets that died aren’t on Active Duty anymore either, yet we treat them as brothers. SGT Andrew Tahmooressi is no different. And he served with honor, in war. In think that merits a little extra consideration. Don’t you jj? Of all the scandals and controversies from this administration, this is the worst. IMHO

      • I am from San Diego and have been there. I don’t think what he did deserves 6-21 years in prison, but that’s not for us to decide. Those are the Mexicans laws and penalties, just like we have mandatory minimums for drug possession and such. No service member should make the excuse that their NCO didn’t tell them the laws. That’s like a civilian saying, “My mom didn’t tell me.” We would all laugh at that. We as service members should be responsible citizens and set the example for others to follow. Don’t blur the truth. He’s only been there for exactly two months now. Mostly it has been good and he has not been mistreated. Was he roughed up? I’m sure. Did he try to escape? Yeah. People (like his buddy) are trying to make it out like he’s in a Vietnam prison camp. That’s a tactic to get people passionately involved. His mom says he was hit in the stomach he couldn’t breathe – he got the wind knocked out of him, which one punch to the gut would do. I did serve in combat, and like my fellow veterans that I know personally, we believe in obeying our country’s laws and doing what is right. Leaving no one behind doesn’t apply to this situation. All branches teach honor and integrity. If you don’t want to leave anyone behind, I’m sure there are murderers and rapists in Leavenworth that you can try advocating for. The VA thing is jacked up, been so for a long time. Not sure exactly what’s going on there, but it does need to be fixed. You referenced these vets also as not being left behind. You’re right, we shouldn’t leave them behind, so the VA was set up to treat service-related injuries for these veterans. It doesn’t mean they get free healthcare the rest of their life cause they served a couple of years. A saying that comes to mind talking about these issues: Not all heroes are veterans, and not all veterans are heroes.

      • OK jj, you want to debate facts then here you are…

Is he a Former United States Marine? YES

Did he break any law that our own US Attorney General
didn’t also do a thousand times over? NO

Is he chained to a bed? YES

Did he try to escape? YES…. Why? Because he believed
his life was in immediate danger, IAW taped phone call day prior. Just like he was trained to do

Does the US State Department have a responsibility
        here? DAMN RIGHT THEY DO.

Are you really comparing a guy who illegally carried an
AR around in his car in a state that is different than every other state to “murderersand rapists”? I certainly hope not.

As far as the NCO comment, I only meant to say that shame
on his NCO leadership he had before he departed is last duty station. I did not mean he should use it as an “excuse”. If you are going to have/carry firearms, YOU are the one responsible for knowing the laws. Would the whole situation been any different if he crossed in TX by accident?

As far as Not Leaving Someone Behind…. He is inMexico. Leavenworth is in Kansas.

As far as the “hero” comments. Any SOB willing to put on the uniform and serve to me is a HERO. I don’t care if you never deploy. If you volunteered knowing that there was a strong likelihood that you could then you are! more so than 99% of the population. I joined during a time of peace for the GI Bill.
This kid signed up after 9/11/2001. He is every bit a hero the same as I. The same as you. We are all Brothers. He made a mistake. He has EARNED our respect and support. If you can’t/won’t understand these basic facts then I truly doubt you ever really served.

      • So, you’ve never even been overseas? That makes sense that you think that anyone that has put on a uniform is a hero. 90% of people overseas never see outside the wire and all the large bases over there (which is where most support pax are located) have taco bell, pizza hut, burger king and coffee shops, amongst other things. Hell, some places even have pools. I’m not saying that support people are unimportant, but the ignorance of people astounds me. But I guess the fact that you signed up in peace for education benefits explains why you would think that. I don’t want to personally insult you on this, but you’re pushing me to that. People join for different reasons, we all get compensated. I have never nor will I ever complain about my benefits in the military. I do a dangerous job, but I volunteered for it and get compensated quite well for it. The pair discrepancies that used to exist in the military aren’t there anymore. Most soldiers I know go into debt up to their necks because they don’t know how to live within their means and are buying $40-50K vehicles and everything else in sight.
Was he chained to a bed? Yes. Again he escaped and that would be appropriate. Is he still? Not that I’ve heard since he was transferred from La Mesa.
His veteran status? Irrelevant. If you can’t feel just as passionately about any US citizen in this situation, then you are just like any other gang out there. I fight for freedom for ALL Americans, not just my fellow veterans.
The State Department does have responsibility. And they, through their consulate office down there have been visiting and providing services that every US citizen is entitled to. Does the SecState need to be involved? No. Not unless you feel he should be making a phone call to every country that US citizens are incarcerated in to get them out.
Obviously, gun possession and rape/murder are two different crimes. I’m just wondering where you draw the line in support of your “Brothers in Arms.” Picking and choosing laws to obey isn’t what is taught in the military.
NCO comment is good. If he were in Texas, it would be different. His violation of CA laws is demonstrative of who he is as a person (not as a Marine or what he did in the past) and is indicative of how responsible he is.
Leavenworth and Mexico (being incarcerated in) is the same thing, just that violations were committed in different areas. If he got pulled over in CA that night instead of Mexico, and subsequently got charged with multiple gun laws and sentenced to 3 months jail time and probation, would you be advocating for him still based off not leaving him behind?

      • I’m not sure which military you joined. I spent five years overseas. Yeah we had BK, McDonalds’s etc… A pool? If you call the one we had to share with all of the German Nationals a Pool…OK! $40-50K on an automobile? You’re joking, right? The beater we had was called a “Cinquecento.” Italian for $500…it actually cost us $250.00, because the lire rate just happened to be pretty good at the time. It was a tin can with a motor. It didn’t have any kind of symbol on the front I assure you, there was nothing status about that bad boy. We had to leave it in Italy when we left. When we got back to the States, we bought another, only slightly better beater.
BTW: Those burgers (which tasted like horse meat) we ate while stationed “overseas” ensured that I and my family can be neither blood donors nor organ donors because we were “tainted” with the potential for “Mad Cow’ disease. Furthermore, the only reason they put up with us over in their countries is because we spent our money on their crappy products and provided our military and weapons for their protection…
As for compensation, I’m not sure WHO you know, to get compensated so well, but, therein may lie the reason for your objection to freeing SGT Tahmooreesi. My only compensation was an Honorable Discharge, a DD214, and a promise for care at the VAH for my Service Connected disabilities…and we are all seeing how well that’s working out….

      • You lived in a different military back in the 90’s. I was talking about the military now, which you are so clearly out of touch with. When I mentioned overseas, maybe I should of clarified by saying in Iraq/Afghanistan, you know, a combat theatre. That’s usually what’s meant these days since we’ve been at war for over a decade. You’ve had your experiences and got out. From what you’ve stated, I’m sure you’d be more on my side if you saw what really is going on now. And yes, pools in a combat theatre. You didn’t even have one in Germany? That’s a different military.

      • I was in during Desert Storm, jj…remember, the Invasion of Kuwait, by Sadaam Hussein? Oh, wait…different decade, I forgot, silly, silly, me!
I’m still wondering about that excellent compensation you received that makes you such a schill for this Administration’s policies. I don’t care what statutory laws say about weapons/guns possessions, or how the SCOTUS interprets them, the 2A is terse, and crystal clear: “THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS, SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED.” No qualifiers, explanations, enumerations, or descriptions necessary. Period! As a soldier, I took an oath to fight to uphold that Constitution, both here and abroad. I can’t imagine any “real soldier” not wanting the release of a fellow-soldier or vet, in this case, because he was simply in possession of weapons that are within his 2A Constitutional Right to do so.
        Oh, wait..we’re in different times now…different Country…

      • If you want to get basic with the laws, he was in another country where possessing guns is illegal. No 2A there, right? And yeah, Desert Storm was a different decade. The last 10+ years I’ve been in we have seen many annual pay increases well above inflation. 3-4% annual pay raises add up after a while. My point with the pay is people will always bitch about it. It’s the entitlement attitude and everyone has it. Look up this year’s pay tables and figure out how much an E-1 makes. Don’t forget about BAH and BAS, that’s what a lot of people like to omit when calculating military salaries. Also, consider the fact we don’t have to pay for healthcare and other little perks. It’s really not that bad. An 18 year old with no ambition in life can join up and make a real decent salary and make a good career. All that base pay he gets goes to discretionary spending. All his needs (food/shelter) are met. People with college degrees are having a difficult time finding jobs with comparable pay. So yes, pay was different when you were in and you had to buy the cars you did and live within your means. It’s different now and I see a lot of people with more pay than you had not being as responsible as you were.
And about the Marine: I’m for all of us taking responsibility for our actions – that’s what comes with freedom. But if you want to be free, you have to obey the laws also. That’s what I fought for and that’s what us Republicans usually preach.

      • Republican? I guess that explains it…I’m a Christian Constitutional Conservative. The Republicans abandoned me, the Constitution, the Freedom-Loving American People, and what they stand for a long time ago…

      • Well, regardless, all conservatives I know, especially the Christian ones would agree about personal responsibility. Unfortunately for all conservatives, there is so much bickering amongst each other with all these divisions that it’s going to be hard to advance into the future world of politics in this country. It’s a shame. It’s like being a Christian. I just say I’m a Christian, but then you have many people say Methodist, Baptist, whatever. Got to agree with the core principles and unite or the little things will divide into small groups that can’t accomplish anything on their own.

      • NO! Conservatism, just like Christianity has it’s FUNDAMENTAL TENETS, that are sacrosanct…inseparable. You cannot say you are a Christian…of any stripe. and depart from those core beliefs, as so many REPUBLICANS have done. And therein lies the problem. For me, there is NO COMPROMISING on the fundamentals… everytime we have done so, Dole, McCain, Romney, etal…WE LOSE!!!

      • Pool in Iraq was shared with German Nationals, I certainly never saw one. Robin Williams came once, all the tickets were gone to FOBbit senior NCOs and Officers.
I hated BK, expensive and it sucked. Got pizza once just for the point of it once in Kandahar at the quad watching hockey on concrete.
But the Chow Hall, wow. Like Golden Coral every meal. Then you had the Marines out at COB where they were still crapping in bags and burning them in 2011. T-rats once a day, and all the MREs you could eat. A container filled with Pop Tarts where the sugar topping melted and refroze so many times it turned brown. Cant stomach a Pop Tart today. Marines typically lived in these conditions. They reveled in them, thought it made them tough.
It didn’t matter the conditions. US Service members in a war zone, HEROS all of them.
Or do you think jj, that the predator drone pilot in Kuwait who today still has nightmares from watching people die is somehow “less” of a Hero because bullets didn’t zip by his head? We all step up and do our duty when called. Thats what it means to be the Hero. In Kuwait, on Bagram, $hithole Herat, or Kunar valley, Or back home… a Chaplain trying to make some sense of why her husband is dead to a grieving widow…. personally, I’d rather get shot at…

      • Desert Storm came more than a decade sooner, Nathan. And it was over quickly. Conditions still sucked, but not as long…Personally, I stayed away from the MREs…for constitutional reasons…I won’t elaborate. But, you’re right, I believe every man or woman that raises their right hand and takes the oath to protect and defend…and keeps it, is a hero. I’ve got a long line of forbears who served as examples from WWII, Korea, Vietnam, etc…
Once they got out of the service, some of them did some less than “responsible” things, for which they were held accountable. But that does not diminish their service to our country, or our country’s obligation to them/us…The same should hold true for Marine SGT Tahmooressi! He deserves to have the full weight of our State Dept rallying to secure his release. If they can do it for a Deserter like Berghdahl…they had better do it for him!

      • Not trying to get personal at all. Yes I signed up during peace. Served in Desert Storm, Bonsia, Afthanistan and Iraq. Spent a hell of alot of time, “outside the wire”. Had friends die, seen their wives grieve.
My wife had to endure years living on post where the notification officers and housing maintance both drove the same white pannel vans. Two neighbors didn’t come home while I was gone. My wife saw them get notified. Two days later maintenance knocked on her door. Want to talk about PTSD, her’s is worse. I say her service to the country is just as honorable as mine.
A Daughter that never saw her father during High School except for 6 months in the Sophmore year and the last 4 months of her Senior year (all of which was arguing). She sacrificed as well.
To me my family were my heros, and I only tried to live up to their expectations.
I know what you are talking about when you describe FOBbits. For every trigger puller there are 4 support personnel. Without that support the trigger pullers starve. My buddy, a log guy, made daily runs in Iraq for water. He lost 7 guys due to IEDs. He never got a scratch, he will never be the same. Plenty irritated when I came back and there was Salsa night.
But the cook that flew into Bagram, and stayed there for 18 months is still the hero. He/she still volunteered, went into a war zone. Was separated from family. Granted the conditions were plush but they were still serving their country, and a far cry greater contribution than 99% of the public. I never insinuated that any MOS is any more or any less important than another. If thats what you got…. not my intention.

      • Good post. The only thing I would say about my point is we shouldn’t be using our veteran status for special privilege. We should be the examples for other citizens. I think that other non-military citizens are heroes, too. The construction workers, farmers, etc that make our country go and put food on my plate and roads for me to drive on, and on and on. We are a society that depends on all. I just don’t like the fact that people think that because he is a Marine he gets special privilege, which is what is going on. I’m sure there are other people in Mexican prison we don’t hear about because they aren’t “heroes.”

      • dude, that specific US Marine, is a decorated Vet from combat? Do I believe Vets should use their “status” for special privilege, of course not. Returning from overseas I never once asked for an upgrade to 1st Class on the plane. Once it was offered. I did it that one time because it was a novelty for me.
We are going round and round over this. I believe he deserves special treatment because of what he has done for this country. I believe that Brothers in Arms should stick together, even if your buddy is at fault (unless he is screwing another service member’s wife). Failure to do so is leaving a comrade behind.
I guess you believe that because he broke a law (no matter how trivial, no matter who else does the same damn thing) we should just let him stay tied up to a bed in Mexico. His “hero” status is stripped either because he isn’t still serving or because he is a criminal.
I think we both agree he should be extradited to face criminal charges here in the US. That way we get our man back, that way you see that he pays for his unlawful transportation of firearms in California.

      • I hate to butt in again but as far as the veterans status thing is it was way different for us but at least now these new guys in the service the public doesn’t blame them for the dumb wars and starteled the hell out of me I was wearing an old ball cap I had and someone came up and shook my hand and said thanks for ur service I thought how the hell do they know 4 got about the hat lol

      • that 65vw was the last new car I got until 1980 when I got back to the states again over in the pacific stuff rust too bad to buy a new car and I know about ca but mexico is really strict about guns not trying to be a fly in the ointment but that was in the 60’s and I can assume they only got tougher

      • The World, The Truth, The Law According To JJ…write a book dude…you would sell like, millions of copies to the progs! Oh, wait…most of them can’t read, and the one’s who can have already spouted this crap…yawn…

      • Thanks for your comment. It’s comments like that from people like you that affirm I’m right! Didn’t I read that you think Bergdal is a deserter and should be charged? I think the same thing. Watch out, maybe you’re in danger of thinking for yourself and not blindly supporting veterans.

      • jj, I do think for myself! It just so happens that I agree with the consensus here that SGT Tahmooreesi had a right (2A Right) to possess those firearms in the U.S. which should supersede any stinking vestigial statutory laws that have been illegally instituted since that Amendment was written. His accidental excursion into Mexico with those firearms should not cost him 20+ years of his life because the California road conditions (signs, etal…) were inferiorly marked. Think about it, dude…have you NEVER gotten lost on a roadway? Have you NEVER missed a turn-off, or an Exit and wound up somewhere you DID NOT want to be? If you can answer NO to that question then you are in the 0.001% of all the driving inhabitants of this planet. Congratulations!
BTW: I take absolute exception to your comparing an honorably discharged Marine (OAMAAM), to a deserter like Bergdahl…

      • I guess you said it. You guys think that you supersede state laws as long as you, not the supreme court, interpret the constitution the way you want. The issue isn’t have I ever gotten lost or made a wrong turn. I never ended up anywhere possessing firearms where I shouldn’t have been. I’m sure you can appreciate that being a gun owner entails more responsibility than not owning guns. They teach that in the military. Be responsible. OAMAAM – whatever they want to say. Just because they have this saying doesn’t mean he is in the Marines still. That’s something to be said in order to boost morale and esprit de corps.

      • well I been in the tj jail and just getting into it u get beat up a little and I was there a week and it felt like 2months I was lucky that the Mexicans on found half my 45 auto but it still cost me beside a car a stripe and some money but it was my fault but if he’s cool he should be ok but if he piss’s the keepers off they will work him over

    • Next big news will be, should the Five be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize jointly or should Bo get it individually.

  30. Everyone is too short sighted. The five cannot leave Qatar for one year. At which point is likely the will be sent to Saudi Arabia for “reprogramming” or death sentences depending on how they do it. Either way we get to wait for the five to lead us to more people in the food chain that we can eliminate. There is a long game here that no one is taking into consideration. The U.S. will have its eye on the five detainees released until it no longer can use any information they are inadvertently providing. Bowe, like many, became very disillusioned once her realized what was really going on in Afghanistan. Unfortunately he seemed to be a bit out of touch with reality and thought he could walk off the post and have a grand adventure (the Rolling Stone article reveals his out of touch upbringing and continued flakiness as an adult). I think he learned a terrible and hard lesson. However, he should face charges for desertion if this is all true, many soldiers were hurt/killed looking for him.

    • He purposely left his post seeking out the comfort of our enemy. Good men died in an attempt to locate and retrieve him. The islamic scum never take prisoners. They behead you or rape and desecrate you like they did to our ambassador in Benghazi. This traitor was kept well fed and groomed, why keep a lowly soldier for 4.5 yrs? Why not someone with value say an Ambassador. This whole fiasco stinks to high heavens. Rolling stone child is a radical left rag nitwit. Look how they made you want to blow the Boston Bomber idiot. Do some research before you spew stupidity.

      • Uh no. I didn’t want to blow the boston bomber. I didn’t say something didn’t happen that made him work for the Taliban. The Taliban have lost so much of their leadership it makes sense that they would keep the only bargaining chip they have. Especially the Haqqani network, they are more concerned with keeping control of their territory and need leaders to do it. They have lost many leaders and are down to the bare minimum of leadership. I do lots of research. If you read my entire comment I stated that if he did in fact desert he should be tried and face charges. Many soldiers died or were injured looking for him. Why don’t you keep the vulgarity out of the comments?

      • You just don’t know how to correctly use idioms do you? One does not keep drinking the kool aid, they drink it once and drop dead. Also “lemurs” is not the term you are looking for when addressing those that voted for the current president, the term is “sheep” or “sheeple”.

      • I think what he means is that you haven’t drunk enough yet to kill you. And I think “lemmings” is the word for those who voted for Obama. However, we will all be the ones to go over the cliff.

      • Why would he/she want to address those who voted for the current president? They are either LIVs who are too ignorant and apathetic to care or they are liberal progressives with an agenda that is hell-bent on the destruction of America…waste of time…huge waste of time…

      • Your points are ill conceived and naive at best. There is nothing that says you rescue a treasonous punk. He was returned clean shaven meaning he gave himself freely sexually to his captives. This is islam the religion of goat de-flowerers.

    • You ARE aware that Qatar is sympathetic to the taliban? More Americans will die because of this f**ked up trade… and Beghdal… clearly NOT playing with a full deck but then seeing the actions of late of dad, I see the NUT doesn’t fall far from the tree…

      • The Taliban is not capable of protecting Qatar should another tiny Arab nation wish to expand. They also don’t buy a ton of oil from Qatar. Loyalty from Qatar is bought and paid for.

    • you are very naive. I trust you are one of the lemurs that voted for our current dictator. Shame on you. The president broke the law conducting this exchange, you know it. This incident should be investigated and the five terrorist should be held in a max security prison. The president should be held accountable for breaking the law. He should be impeached. You know it.

      • YOU are naive. Fighting terrorism is a dirty and shady business, nothing is easy and nothing is quite as it seems. Everything is not black and white. Look up the definition of dictator and stop spewing nonsense.

      • You look up dictator. I know one when I see one. You don’t have a clue what is going on right under your snotty little nose. Unless the five taliban leaders obama THE DICTATOR released were implanted with GPS microchips, he did nothing but reward the terrorist by giving them back five of their worthless dogs. You need some serious anger management counseling. Maybe then you can carry on a conversation or a debate without be so hateful.

      • What makes you think only individuals from Qatar will be keeping an eye on them? I don’t think you have to worry, some clandestine letter agency will keep track of them I am sure.

  31. This traitor, Obama, gave them 5 terrorists for one, not too sure American…..What else is new…..Where is Boehner and company??????? I cannot wait for us to be rid of Boehner (and his pals) Obama and Holder,,,,,

  32. This is just another smoke screen sent up by O to say . See I will do anything to get our soldiers back. Ya right, it’s just a cover for the 4 he gave up to the terrorists. Another BS deal by O. He is the greatest terrorist America has to fear!

    • This administration, or marxist regime, is the precise reason our founding fathers wrote the 2nd amendment & worded it in plain, simple, “no uncertain terms” English so it could never be INFRINGED !!!!

  33. If this administration can not close Gitmo one way, he will close it another. By negotiating away all the detainees to the point there are no terrorist to detain, well.. you do the math… Another example of a lawless government thumbing it’s nose at Congress. God help us all if this is what we can expect over the next 2 1/2 years under this Administration.

  34. Lot of fishy stuff going on here. We traded 5 top taliban commanders for one U.S. taliban sympathizing deserter. It’s a good thing they got him back. Now they should court martial him. We should have never negotiated with the terrorists to return their people though.

  35. they say they will be monitored! since when are we to believe we will! ? look what is going on in the VA!, ( thats another story ) terrorists are release and we are to believe their word and our top officials-word! NOT !ever going to happen. where there is a will , the bad guys will do their dirty deeds again! my husband was in both Afghanistan and Iraq , ( tours) he saw familiar faces of prisoners working , among our military. he brought it up , but he was ignored. shut down! be a prisoner in one country , and become a worker within our reach in another country., is that how we are going to monitor them? I AM a family( mother) member of military soldiers past and presence. I first hand see what my family members are dealing with health issues and their non ability to speak .. on one hand I stand proudly for their serving , on the other hand I get pissed off with the seat sitters who not always make the right decisions. this Obama admins break laws . make decisions( without congress and we are to accept this! NOT! this release was a diversion ! a political agenda! for egos! I am happy this soldier gets to come home to his family. but the price was to high for our country’s honor and safety for Americans all over the world now.

    • God Bless you Terry, and your sons/daughters who are willing to risk their lives for our country. I am an Army Vet of ten years service (Gulf Storm Era), I understand the sacrifice from a soldier’s point of view. I believe it’s probably harder from a mother’s point of view.

    • the va is getting bad they are privatizing everthing I been on a month long list so far for a pain pump and im still waiting

  36. The transformation of America from a constitutional republic to a banana republic continues. Obama has been successful in laying the destructive groundwork domestically. Now we’re seeing him do the same on the foreign policy front. By the time the RINOS lay another egg and usher Hillary into the White House, her “cruise control” switch will be fully engaged while she drives us quickly past the absolute point of no return. RIP America: March 4th, 1789 – January 20th, 2009. It was a good run.

  37. An excerpt from a post that a soldier who was there wrote about this whole affair…

“News outlets all over the country were putting out false information. It was hard to see, especially when we knew the truth about what happened and we lost good men trying to find him. PFC Matthew Michael Martinek, Staff Sgt. Kurt Robert Curtiss, SSG Clayton Bowen, PFC Morris Walker, SSG Michael Murphrey, 2LT Darryn Andrews, were all KIA from our unit who died looking for Bergdahl. Many others from various units were wounded or killed while actively looking for Bergdahl. Fighting Increased. IEDs and enemy ambushes increased. The Taliban knew that we were looking for him in high numbers and our movements were predictable. Because of Bergdahl, more men were out in danger, and more attacks on friendly camps and positions were conducted while we were out looking for him. His actions impacted the region more than anyone wants to admit. There is also no way to know what he told the Taliban: Our movements, locations, tactics, weak points on vehicles and other things for the enemy to exploit are just a few possibilities. The Government knows full well that he deserted.”

    • now lets don’t go kidnapping the president cause then more people will get killed trying to rescue him and that’s stretching getting killed in the line of duty just too damn far

  38. I may be mistaken, but didn’t Al-Qaeda publicly open an office in Qatar within the last year or two and freely operate there. Now, these five will be in Qatar, after we negotiate this through the Qatari gov.

  39. This whole episode fails the smell test. The country deserves some answers from POTUS but I don’t think we’re going to get them. FUBAR

  40. I’m so happy that we’re negotiating with terrorists. This whole thing just sits wrong with me! Why Barry why?

  41. I am glad our young man is home. He will be judged by the Military so I will wait and see. I only know if it were my Army son, I would give anything to get him back alive.. anything…

    • “Our” young man walked off his post…of his own free will. He was not captured while on patrol! He willfully walked right into the hands/arms of the Terrorists. Moreover, he got TWO brave young soldiers killed while they were out searching for him! That’s two families (wives, children, mothers, fathers, etc…), who lost their sons because “our” young man (?soldier), decided to go for a walk. THAT, Madam, is desertion!
The first thing I had to learn as an Army Private were my General Orders, the 1st General Order IS: “I will guard everything within the limits of my post, AND QUIT MY POST ONLY WHEN PROPERLY RELIEVED.” Consider those things if you will…

      • AMEN! queenOFhearts. And HOOAH! fellow Soldier. Thank you for your service.

This a$$hat’s entire family is in the enemy’s camp. The father’s tweets are beyond question on this matter.

      • I hope he’s hung for desertion as his walking away from his post during times of war could have jeopardized those who depended upon his vigilance

      • They’re both muslamists so it really doesn’t matter which came first. It’s the chicken or the egg question, however, in the case of muslamists they believe there is no egg as women have no value in their cult.

  42. Apparently hillary a.k.a. The Benghazi Butcher, has issued an order to obama to get that little matter in Gitmo cleaned up before she takes over, as she will have more important things to worry about like making sure all future educators are fully competent in brain washing our children, further destruction of the economy, destroying capitalism, furthering the welfare state, and rewarding all criminals the right to vote (including all of the illegal Mexicans).

    • Partially correct. Sbe is the enemy. She is 100% corrupt, bought and paid for. She is the enemy to what is right and decent. She should be tortured for three days with needle-nose pliers and a blowtorch, but they should be-the 100%corrupt elected lackies of a immoral, evil, rogue, unconstitutional government. But, it’s capitalism that is the enemy, not something to look on as some entity that is somehow legitimate. True capitalism, in it’s pure form is a terrible system that is not a viable form of a way to olerate an economic system, as all wea,th concentrates into the hands of the few, plus a plethora of other reasons. But, we have never even seen pure capitalism, as ineffective as that wpuld be, we’ve only seen 100% corrupted capitalism, which is geometrically many many times worse. Welfare? Have ypu looked at the graphs that show the ratios of the distribution of wealth in this country? The ‘middle-class, don’t even hardly register on tbe graph. You can’t even hardly see it. , and it is ralidly dissappearing, let alone the poor and’workingpoor. Get your brainwashed worthless head out of your as the only legitimate course of action is for citizens to organize into local, and regional guerilla units and engage this evil monstrosity until it’s government, it’s standing army, it’s banking institutions, and it’s money is wiped out and rendered valuless. Wame up!!!

      • “Wame up?” Have you ever heard of proofreading, dude? Or do you think that what you have to say is so important that you hit send before you make sure it says what you meant for it to say?

    • No he doesn’t! He, like Bush his predecessor, and all U.S. presidents since JFK, are, and have been nothing but mouthpieces and frontmen for the cabal who ells them and thir 100% corrupt owned congressman, exactly what to do and what to say and how to spin. Obama, and those of his predecessors, are as much of the decision making process as a retarded wino. Does that mean they should not be tortured and killed-I’ll let you decide if you can get past your brainwashing long enough.

      • I have to disagree with you. Reality can be F’d up enough w/o the need for conspiracy theories that it sounds like you’re describing. Is this the same “group” that killed JFK? Brainwashing? The current Left has been a long time coming and regardless of what has really happened since the 60’s has been missed by them because they’ve chosen their myriad theories over reality. Present Obama is a product of this idiocy and we’re idiots that can’t comprehend his intellect.

      • Reality also takes a hit when terminally stupid people try to offer support to the liberal class.

      • Dude, c’mon…you’re sounding like a crackpot conspiracist! You’re a couple of clowns short of a circus…

  43. I hope we shoved a tracking device up each one of their asses and now we can take out all of those sorry son of a Bitches !

    • LOL…Obama Pelosi Reid…One man, one mission, one big mistake, America!
Sorry, JC…I just can’t help myself, your post is a screamer…we are all ROFLOAO…tears are rolling too…thanks!

      • “Or something…” Considering the number of Bo-Tox injections Pelosi has had, the extent of Reid’s dementia, and…the laundry list of potential things wrong with BO, that’s a frightening statement…

  44. Unless these murderous #*&%*#@* were somehow marked with implanted chips for GPS tracking…an Impeachment needs to be the next thing on the HR agenda for the CIC. Of course we all know that DID NOT happen, and Politics as Usual will resume in Washington Deceit on Monday morning…Another day, another trillion dollars of taxpayer money on pork…
Meanwhile back at the VA…where’s that dang rug…

  45. As has been proven time after time, capturing Taliban terrorists, al-Queda gophers, or members of any of the various radical islamist social clubs is 100 percent guaranteed to come back to bite the troops and good people of the United States.

So-called leaders who sanction capturing and holding islamic terrorists in comfort will continue to ply their trade as apologists for islam as long as We, the People, fail to silence them, permanently.

Acknowledging islamic radical captives has proven a sure way to continual grief. Pointedly disposing of islamic radical captives is a sure way to guarantee sleeping soundly at night.

  46. The left was always quick to condemn the Bush administration for what liberals called his catch and release program (when criminals were being released from the prison system), using fishing terms to appeal to the masses. This must be the berry administration’s catch and release program. I’d rather have not released these five fish…

  47. The traitorous U.S. Government, and it’s brainwashed suckups will spin it’s lies concerning this situation. To unpin let me 1st say the U.S. Government by way of it’s corruption and greed, that foments destability in every country in the world for the advantage of a small percentage of rich Americans, and corpobankers. They create war and tyranny, impoverishment and murder of citizens of the world for their economic gain, and for that reason only. Therefore, those activities create legitimate enemies to this overwhelming evil and all encompasing cabal. Next, anybody that has any moral turpitude, any integrity, any sense of what is rigt, and humane, wjll be at odds with this evil cabal and what it’s about. So if Bowe walked off his post because of those internal qualities that would go to make him an exceptional quality human being, I can’t n.praise and stand by him enough. Next, anyone who is in Guantamo is there probably because they oppose this evil banker owned cabal that is impoverishing, tyrannizing, and killing humanity, within the U.S. andthat are righteous in their actions and beliefs for the sake of humahity, world wide. Finally, any American citizen that is not actively engaged in guerilla activititas to rid this planet of this government is a traitor to his country and to humanity, and it is they who should be imprisoned along with these perps that own a d operate this evil government. globally,

      • I agree. If America is as evil as ST93 says it is, then I suggest he find new digs…I hear Havana, Cuba or Beijing, China are both lovely this time of year. Soooo….no better time than now for him to start over…there!

      • You need to go back and stick your brainwashed head back in the sand for another 20 years!

      • Welcome to the real world you brainwashed, low IQ’d miscreant. Now go graze witb the rest of the sheep till it’s your turn for the slaughter. Now go-you bore me!

      • Right on VL, and while dude is at it, he may want to look up “logic” and “exceptionalism.” No, America is not perfect, but we are closer than any other country has ever come, to getting there. Which is why he has the freedom to blather on so non-sensically…

    • It looks like we have another jihadist who would like to be traded by Obama. If you hate America so much why don’t you move to some Muslim hell hole where they will welcome your hatred of America with open arms. Of course, they will require you to participate it that little loyalty ritual called suicide bomber. But that’s such a small price to pay to vent your hatred of America.

    • Well Squaretest93, it looks like the verdict is in, go get some serious mental health help, immediately,,,,,if not sooner !!

  48. The more I research this the more upset I get. This kid needs to be tried for AWOL and Treason. Its funny how this happens just days after Obama visited Afghanistan and while he was there it looks like he had a secret meeting with his Muslim Brotherhood buddies and brokered this deal. This is not a Left or a Right issue this is a National Security issue and the Obama Administration just gave back 5 dangerous Terrorists to people that want to harm America in return for what???? A Homegrown Terrorist, Traitor that will only do what he can here in the Country to hurt Americans. Congress and Senate needs to get on this ASAP and band together to figure out of the Obama Administration has committed a Crime against the American People. Posted by a United States Marine.

    • Yes it is strange– BHO takes a sudden trip to do his Muslim Brotherhood THING. No communication with Congress -Is there a Congress? Are they all empty suits?.
This was wrong and CONGRESS IS STILL COMPLICIT. The Senate — If they are such libs. (they are) like CA has -don’t count on anything . They will betray us as always.

    • Good point, Mary…”Stranger” still is that it is coming on the heels of the onset of the Benghazi Select Committee Investigation, the VA Debacle, the CIA Operative’s Identity leak to the Press, AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, Hillary’s lunch with President Obama…”A meeting of the mindless, perhaps?”
BTW: Thank you for your Service!

    • well Mary Baker obama will swear he didn’t know any thing about it until he read in the news paper. AND THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE

  49. The evil cabal, which is the U.S. Government, it’s 100% corrupt elected lakies, the 1% corpobanking pukes who own the corrupt, and it’s national and international allies, among the most notable-the zionists. This is the most dangerous and the most sophisticated evil conglomerate ever imposed on humanity in the history of this planet. Now, this evil cabal is spinnining this Bowe Bergdall situation. It has recently taken a huge legitimate beating in the court of public opinion, even though most of the folks on this court are mindless, brainwashed, worthless sheep, nevertheless. The cabal must keep the big lie in full force to survive, so it uses this Bergdall situation as a spin to counter the VA tradegy. Tbe truth asa few of us know, is that the U.S. Government cares nothing about the VA patients or Bowe Bergdall. Now , morons, continue ypur babble.

    • Wow, you are truly an uninformed, babbling idiot if you believe that the US government is even close to the worst government in history! You are just a brain washed, useful idiot for some anti Jewish group of even bigger fools! Get a REAL education, do some traveling and wake up….because right now what you think you know is just flat out wrong on too many levels to even list!

      • It sounds like you are just as uninformed. Squaretest was referring to U.S. history, but then again you are probably a product of the public school system, who are taught nothing of our history and very little of anything else worthwhile.

      • ST93 hasn’t got a clue about U.S. History, sir/madam. His posts are just rambling nonsense filled with tangential slurs of anti-American, anti-Capitalist, Anti-Semitic nonsense. He’s all over the map. He hasn’t strung together two cohesive sentences since he started his vain babblings. I, for one, can’t tell you what it is he’s actually for or against. He sounds almost schizophrenic…But, more power to you if you want to listen to him…You go girl/guy!

    • Here we go again smearing people who have no trouble seeing the truth. Oh
my gosh and a Jew Hater.Go for it squaretest.

      • You were born in Raytown, and immediately put in a closet, a dark closet. Two weeks ago they let you out, gave you crash courses in American High School History and Google, and here you are. Now go pledge allegiance and stick your head in the sand, or your closet. Bye.

      • The Taliban and Al Qaeda need truck drivers. Here is your chance to get out of the Country, you hate so much, and do something productive.

      • Job security sucks…it’s risky, not for the faint of heart. But…I hear the after-life benefits are LITERALLY out of this world…

  50. I would love to see a Cruz Missile Administration with Col. Allen West (A true American Patriot) at the helm of our Defense Department. The United States would once again stand a chance of becoming a “SUPER POWER” in every sense of the word.

  51. This stinks to high heaven. This young man is a deserter and should be treated as one! He got men killed looking for him. What is to celebrate?? Five exceedingly dangerous Taliban high ranking prisoners for one deserter… WTF??

    • Anna, as much as I hate to accept & admit that this sgt. deserted his post, I must agree with you. Also “something is definitely rotten Denmark, and Washington D.C.” Like when did we start negotiating with terrorists ?

    • Love you Anna Grace. My grandson Army Ranger 3 tours in that hellhole and
he knows this creep.Hope their stories can come out and this guy gets a room in Ft.Leavenworth.Along side Barack Hussein Obama for treason.

  52. I am glad this Marine is on the way home, but he will undoubtedly be mentally altered after 5 years in the care of these “people”. No one can go through something like this without becoming forever “damaged goods”. These five crazed killers will be back. Their feelings toward the US will not be improved by their years at Gitmo. They should have been executed years ago. We are officially on the slippery slope. We have now bargained with terrorists.

    • I’m not denying he will be permanently altered, but he deserted his post, walked away looking for the Taliban and adventure and was held for five years (unheard of by these animals) instead of brutally having his head cut off or being burned alive as they do to every other captured American military person. How are we know if HE and his own father didn’t come up with this idea in order to get our government to release prisoners from Gitmo? Especially in light of his father’s recently posted then deleted tweet? Stranger things have happened.

      • Absolutely!! He was already mentally altered Sweetqueen when he left
his post to join up with the BAD guys.

      • Fact is sometimes stranger than fiction. Like the Shadow says, “who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men.”

      • chuckie I don’t know all the evil; in the hearts of man but Obama is sure taking lessons to find out

    • Excuse me he was not a Marine! Army got that?.Plus he walked out of his FOB
with a bottle of water and a compass. He knew where he was going and to whom
he was to meet up with.

      • Ummm…just as a point of record, I hope you’re not implying any condescension towards Army soldiers just because Beau Malcontent happened to be a Traitor/Deserter? I don’t think his BOS had anything to do with his ideological sympathies towards these Islamic thugs…A POS will stink no matter whose field it “lies” in…

      • I hope he gets out ok that jail in tj was bad bad bad probably worst ones but I hope I never see one

      • Does it really matter which branch of service? NO, not at all! “They” (captured, traitors or POW’s) are AMERICAN VETERANS. Can we STOP splitting hairs about this?

      • Was my post addressed to you? No. Did I state that the branch of service mattered in confirming him to be an American Veteran? No. Do you have any idea why I posted the comment? No, you apparently do not. For your information, my post was meant to be a friendly one correcting a fellow poster who had twice made the mistake of calling Bergdahl a Marine. Nothing more and nothing less. Again, for your information, I am a veteran and I have a very healthy respect for all branches of military service and for all veterans who served honorably.

    • WE? I DIDN’T do any bargaining with any body. did you? obama did the bargaining. he has his phone and he has his pen. so lets see how much trouble this will cause. and how many points he drops. the king is dieing. he is setting us up for some real trouble mark my words. GOD HAVE MERCY ON US ALL.

    • THIS DESERTER WAS NOT A MARINE! Those of you who can’t even read well enough to have the slightest clue of what you speak need to crawl back into your couch cushion forts till Mommy puts your jammies on you and tucks you in.

    • Leave him there and send his muslim loving family to join him. We now have 5 more top terrorists to help plan the destruction of our country. The leaders released to arab country while their fighters pour across our southern border protected by OUR government.

  53. Marine Sergeant Andrew Tahmooressi, from information I recently received, was caught smuggling guns into Mexico and is exactly where he belongs. That having been said, I completely agree with you on your other points.

    • Where did you receive that information? Three guns sounds like a pretty pisspoor “smuggling” operation.

      • Scuttlebutt and rumor never seems to have a source, it just goes from mouth to ear to mouth to ear……..! Do you remember the little game that is played by everyone sitting in a circle and one person whispers to the person next them and so around the circle? When the whispered message makes it’s round and returns to the one who whispered it first, the message is nothing like it was when it left the first set of lips. The message changes so much and so fast that no one can or will claim to be the source.

      • to bill the other reason I lost my 65vw in tj mexico was a certain 1911 colt 45 which was totally disassembled and under the back seat partley and under the dashboard the rest hey I was young and dumb and thought I was a ba sorry

      • Bill must be digging through the trash looking for that back issue of the “Enquirer” he read his “info” from. Lets give him a minute shall we?

      • And then he called 911? I heard a recording of the call. Methinks your “locals” are full of sh*t. But, I’d be interested in reading your “source”. Can you steer me to it?

      • You are entitled to your own opinions…but NOT your own ‘facts’. He did NOT have a trunk full on weapons and ammunition…considering that he was driving a PICKUP TRUCK!!

Dear ‘either lying or clueless’…trucks don’t HAVE trunks. Either get back ON your meds….or stop taking what you are taking!

    • Smuggling guns into Mexico? Not exactly! He parked his car on the American side, walked over the Mexico for a day of partying like a great many American’s do on a regular basis. Late that even he walked BACK across the border, stopping at the regular foot traffic border patrol stations, go in his car and prepared to go to the place he was staying in the area and got into a lane that LOOKS as if it is heading into San Fran, but actually curves back around to the Mexican border. That road has no turnoffs or turnarounds until you get to the border stop. When he got there he ASKED the Mexican guards to allow him to get over in the lane where he could turn around, explained that he was not in Mexico on purpose, had made a wrong turn and since his own hand gun was lying on the passengers seat (with two more legally owned long guns in the back) he explained to the guard that he had the guns in the car, but had not brought them across on purpose and merely wanted to turn around and go back across the border. The guard actually agreed to escort him, but then called his superior who saw an opportunity (probably for some bribe money or attention from his own boss) and decided to have him arrested. But please, so we can all know, is someone in the media saying he was smuggling guns and why are they saying that when it is so obviously not the truth.

      • Hope Bill is still on this page and will keep an open mind.
Thanks for trying to set the record straight.

      • the U.S. military should put Mexico (TJ) off limits to all military personnel, close down the borders!

      • not to be a pest but my gf just showed me a website sorry no names but its a good source and ted cruz said 40 democratic senators want to vote on an amendmet to change the 1st amendment to keep ordinary citizens (not the press though) from talking about politics so they don’t get in trouble because they aren’t doing what the folks back home elected them for if that aint the sh–ts

      • somewhere in tj mexico is my 65 vw that the cops who arrested me for supposed drunk and disorderly wouldn’t give me back

      • Think about it. You had one hell of a good time that night and it was probably worth the VW. Wait 20 more years and you will love the story.

    • For whatever reason he was in the hands of the Taliban, one US soldier is worth all the Taliban in Gitmo. Too bad that a rescue attempt wasn’t mounted five years ago like the one in Panama (Dec. ’89) that rescued Kurt Muse, an American businessman from Noriega’s clutches.

  54. Guess I have mixed emotions about this whole transaction probably because I don’t know enough about it. I’m glad to have another American soldier back home but don’t like the thought of those 5 men being on the loose again. They are terrorists you know!! The other thing I don’t like is once again King Obama makes a decision on his own without consulting with congress. How is our government allowing this to continually happen? If Obama is wrong and we have been duped, it is us Americans who will pay for it in more ways than one.

    • This guy knew where he was going.A bottle of water and a compass. Not out for
a stroll was he??? Go on the internet and get a good look at his father and see
what he had written, about Americans will pay for afghan children.Think he is still on the up and up? Not on your life, this whole thing stinks but then again “obama” is to blame for what is surely to come.Pray for our troops over in that
      hell hole still.

  55. Somebody please tell me why the pOTUS keeps getting away with circumventing Congress?
I take strong offense to this so-called soldier Burgdahl, that I have read a first hand story of just what happened to him. According to that source he fled his post and sought out the Taliban to JOIN them! NO kidding. He wanted to be with the taliban! Then his father talks about allah. There is something very evil going on here with the release of those savages.

  56. All we need to hear now is that there is an airliner, big enough to carry a decent sized bomb, missing somewhere in the world….all ready and loaded up for these Muslim ideologues to martyr themselves or to send some other poor suckers out murder American’s for them.

  57. Nationalism or Patriotism has left America and other countries that had taken part in the cause of (Freedom) with a huge debt just as it did in Pre war Japan and West Germany the only countries that get in front financially by invasion be stealth are those that are in fact invaded by the occupying countries, usually America. if they remain occupied, but later regret losing their culture and traditional ways.

The U.S. military says it has been forced to cut back on its engagement with military and government officials in Latin America due to budget cuts.

Well now American pride that’s fine and no one is denying you or anyone that, how many Military Bases do the Americans have throughout this world, How many countries have Russia actually invaded in the premise of freedom and Liberty, How many Islamic refugees are fleeing to Russia, not many,go there they think the money is in America and of course they can manipulate the American system to set up Islamic cells convert backward American’s to that cult called Islam whole towns eventually become no go areas for average American Christians.

Cambodian Vietnamese,Lao,Hmong,Montenard.and many others who come to America’s shores not so much for freedom as such but its really economical freedom after years of war imposed on them by U.S.A.

Yes the Viet Cong got a thrashing but then again everyone else in that mess did also, I should know I was there, something I am not proud of.

South Korea of course, although I do concede that North Korea is well pissed off by the American intervention now we have nut jobs leading the North Koreans after years of sanctions by the United Nations and others On America’s part we all know that the news media is used to shape public opinion, the movies of course where the alta ego Mr America always wins the day against a hoard of ungodlike demonic enemy, all those millions of dead people who died along the way all of course in, the cause of freedom and the American way,American British Australians and it never seems to stop all the European allies that take part also.

Having a President Dictator is worse than having a King or Queen its just a name, The Kings and Queens of all countries long since lost the ultimate power that they had about the only county that seems to have retained that kind of power is Saudi Arabia and the Islamic Wahhabis installed there by the British and the Americans on giving up the oil, they do it very badly without regret.

      • Forget the point…Dood, I’d settle for a stinking comma, or an occasional period! What mumbo-jumbo…ayeyiyiyiyi!

      • Don’t worry Queen, America will settle for anything second hand, when the Islamic fundamentalists take your Bible bashing majority over and every Church is knocked down or becomes a Mosque,Thats when Obama brings Islam to America proper, then you can kiss your ass goodbye.

      • Well if you had the ability to read and the intellect to take my comment in an intelligent way, instead of (Duh your point is) little wonder that America is in such a mess when it has so many rednecks retards and Queens of Farts below with his inane comments (Wanker)
America what a disappointment you really are no class whatsoever.
Suggest you both get a job a real job.

      • Eddie, had I known you were not American I would not had replied to your insignificance self. You don’t vote pay taxes in my country so you and your country are insignificant. I would have liked to insult you, but with your intelligence you wouldn’t get offended.

      • The word is (insignificant) then again Yanks always did screw everything the come across
even the English language Failed again Teddy

      • Probably talking about himself, which is why he went on to disparage America in the next sentence…hard to tell, coherency is not one of his strong points…

      • Guamdiver,Dont think too hard you might strain something,
Queen of farts, and plain old Ted Hughe’s ,There’s three of you now that should be enough to form a circle,I doubt it though,Only one brain cell between the three of you, doesn’t do much.

    • Eddie, you’re command of grammar is making your writings very difficult to understand. Is English not your primary language?:

      • Hemma-Royds
Its spelt hemorrhoids, I guess for you only understanding American English, expecting you to read the Queens English,
is really like casting Pearls before Swine,
        A real disappointment to everyone.

      • We let you go, anyway, the only thing you Yanks toss are yourselves,Just try it on China, This invasion habit under the guise of any excuse your leaders can come up with, America’s days are over where your main industry is war and invading other sovereign nations.
By the way smart ass, I have citizenship in several countries at least 12 But who the Hell would want to live in Bigoted America with all your debt and all that Gun mentality and then there’s the amphetamines That’s crack to you.
        http://www.usdebtclock.org/index.html

      • I speak several languages, too, dumbass. What’s your point? In the end, all you will ever be is an arrogant, dipstick limey liberal, whose county’s hay day is long gone, and over-run by ragheads. As soon as we take out the Obama trash we’ll get things back in order…. something you will never be able to say in truth. Go drink some tea and leave it to the adult men to handle things.

      • Yup. Something big and stiff that can do a lot of damage to a pussy such as yourself, limey.

      • United States Of America the Peacemakers My Arse.

2001 September the 11th Osama Bin Laden uses his expert C.I.A. Training to murder 3,000 people at the twin Towers.

  58. Obama could walk into the House of Representatives and burn it down, and still nobody would say poo about it.

  59. One Marine is worth all the taliban in Gitmo. Having said that, I would have expected a rescue mission to get our Marine out five years ago taking out as many taliban as possible along the way. Now we got one of our own out of Panama when Noriega was dictator in charge, didn’t we? We have much more technology now.

      • this guy reminds me of a certain bleeding heart actress that shall remain annonomous . and this is enough to make anybody sick and pissed off

    • To start this deserting POS was not a marine, he was Army. He deserted his post during a war in Afghanistan and for that crime alone he should be charged, tried and if convicted, put to firing squad or hanging. No one person is worth trading these five terrorists for. Congratulations President Obama, you just put a price tag on the back of every single American that travels abroad to any country that may have a bone to pick with us. If you go to china, you can expect to be detained and held for ransom now. Mexico, well thats already happened to more than a few of our Marines. This is one of the most disgraceful foreign policy blunders I have ever seen, if you call it a blunder. I call it treason, because if Bergdahl is free to roam America being brought back like a Hero by the media, its only a matter of time before he or one of his Taliban partners we just released is linked to the deaths of even more Americans. Good Soldiers, Marines, CIA and contractors died in Afghanistan because Bergdahl deserted his fellow soldiers to go hang out with the local Taliban. Put him up for Court Martial the first day he is back in the states.

      • yeah those guys are gonna be building new threats for our guys sure as hell and I knew he was in the army (nothing against the army hey I was in the navy 10yrs)

    • this guy is a deserter and Obama knew it and he let 5 of the really bad boys go for this guy. somebodies gotta do something I just hope everybody votes to get rid of his lakeys in the senate that’s the only way we can impeach him and he getting Hilary to agree to pardon him if he does (god don’t let her get elected)

  60. First of all, I am glad our soldier is free, although I use that term rather loosely. Since he is a deserter during wartime, he should be tried, convicted and hung. This whole episode is entirely a political stunt. It changes the news cycle from the VA scandal and the select committee on Benghazi to something positive for Democrats in the hopes of bolstering Democrat chances in the fall. Maybe Congress will grow a spine with this blatant breach of law. I’m certainly not holding my breath though.

    • Only one problem with your argument. We aren’t at war. Nothing was declared. That changes the whole legality of his actions.

      • I suppose it all hinges on what the definition of “at war” is. Since we deployed forces to Afghanistan to engage in combat in the “War on Terror”, I say we were. But if we say that we must have an official war declaration from Congress to really be at war, irrespective of what our actions on the ground are, then no we were not (sic).

  61. I am gravely concerned about this prisoner “swap”. I also read that our President was “Gleeful”, for the Muslims, that it occurred. If the five Muslims are as they have been described and if our soldier had Muslim “leanings” even before he was “captured”, and the President was gleeful, we have a problem “right here in River City”, as the old musical states. If the reports are factual, congress needs to get on top of this right away. as this may well be both, “aiding and abetting” the enemy and outright treason, and if congress does not do something about it, I suspect the citizens will—and rightfully so. And, if the President was gleeful, that is a brazen slap in the face of all real citizens. I sincerely hope I am wrong.

  62. Why would Obama make such a move ignoring the chain of command as stated! Obama seems to be trying to change his image!

  63. It’s all to make Obama look good as well as the Democrats. This government is playing dirty politics at the expense of REAL AMERICAN HERO SOLDIERS. This scum should have been left to rot in Afghanistan…though I believe his life was so horrible. I’m almost certain he had to have been someone’s honey since he never had HIS head cut off with a rusty knife. What is truly shocking is the fact 5 Taliban terrorists have been released…I’m certain Obama’s brother knew how important these men were to the Muslim Brotherhood. How much more at risk is this nation now?

“Forwarded from Jeff Howard. “We were at OP Mest, Paktika Province, Afghanistan. It was a small outpost where B Co 1-501st INF (Airbone) ran operations out of, just an Infantry platoon and ANA counterparts there. The place was an Afghan graveyard. Bergdahl had been acting a little strange, telling people he wanted to “walk the earth” and kept a little journal talking about how he was meant for better things. No one thought anything about it. He was a little “out there”. Next morning he’s gone. We search everywhere, and can’t find him. He left his weapon, his kit, and other sensitive items. He only took some water, a compass and a knife. We find some afghan kids shortly after who saw an american walking north asking about where the taliban are. We get hits on our voice intercepter that Taliban has him, and we were close. We come to realize the kid deserted his post, snuck out of camp and sought out Taliban… to join them. We were in a defensive position at OP Mest, where your focus is to keep people out. He knew where the blind spots were to slip out and that’s what he did. It was supposed to be a 4-day mission but turned into several months of active searching. Everyone was spun up to find this guy. News outlets all over the country were putting out false information. The Government knows full well that he deserted. It looks bad and is a good propaganda piece for the Taliban. They refuse to acknowledge it. Hell they even promoted him to Sergeant which makes me sick. I feel for his family who only want their son/brother back. They don’t know the truth, or refuse to acknowledge it as well. What he did affected his family and his whole town back home, who don’t know the truth. Either way what matters is that good men died because of him. He has been lying on all those Taliban videos about everything since his “capture”. If he ever returns, he should be tried under the UCMJ for being a deserter and judged for what he did. Bergdahl is not a hero, he is not a soldier or an Infantryman. He failed his brothers. Now, sons and daughters are growing up without their fathers who died for him and he will have to face that truth someday.”

    • glad I saw this article and discussion because when I first saw this on another web site and with Obama pulling another absent congress on the weekend thing I figured it was something that nobody was gonna like

  64. WTF??? Our Muslim-in-Chief needs to be impeached NOW! Wake up people! Demand justice or it will just turn into another unpunished Benghazi!

  65. sorry for sounding off but im serious about my coffee and scumsucking person who have no right to dishonor and American servicemans uniform

    • We do not.should not. so why now? make deals w/ terrorist when plenty of POW’s lost there lives as well as civilian before this should we have just given in when (excuse me) they cut heads off on live TV tell in the US to leave the Middle East and I served in the military 1st & 2nd was taught your weapon is your best friend and to never leave your post till properly released so for any one to sit and justify this is thinking irrational and utterly sickening to just watch terrorism right in your face take place like ok peace talk after 5 are released or the old saying spare one many will DIE so as a patron no I don’t believe this was right (to give in) NO!! So UN go back to searching for something you just had in your hand and deal with the soldier who got away missing just a drink in this pic to look like a vaca standing w/ his hands in his pockets

  66. It is pretty clear that Bergdahl deserted his post and fellow Americans. He should be court martialed and given an appropriate sentence.

  67. It’s Wag the Dog with our national security Allen … I don’t think this is a time to stand by and remain docile and just look on while our government breaks our policy of not negotiating with terrorists that we have always demanded from our allies who obeyed this demand ….Our country is being led around a Garden of deceit and treason by the very same people who took an oath and swore to uphold and protect it , we are being led to believe that a filthy Islamist sympathising deserter and his newly salafistic parents are the model of American diplomacy and intervention , in essence we are being totally pissed on and given the explanation that it’s only raining, and nothing more ! .

  68. Just Barack Hussein letting more war criminals and top terrorists go free, without Congressional approval, so they can kill more Americans. Just when you thought Obama had slowed his destruction of the U.S. down a little bit. This soldier, against his orders, left his post. This trade should never have been made. Those top terrorists that Obama just let go, should have been executed by a firing squad.

  69. Hmmm… America needs to stop being the world’s policeman….

Following Allen West’s criteria for US military engagement, ANY immoral act committed by religious nuts must be addressed by boots on the ground, which is equally crazy.

The rules of engagement must always be whether another country’s act DIRECTLY and IMMEDIATELY affects US interests…. If it doesn’t, then we have absolutely no business being there… “PERIOD!” (TM)…

    • It is law, but they have a point… Where they supposed to wait for congress to get back from vacation, then waste another month squabbling over it? If he had been killed during that time, people would be vilifying Obama for his inaction.

      • Finally some people that make sense. Everyone on here just seem like their judgement has already been passed even though they know nothing except what they’ve read over the years as well as the “tweeter” and his story which is just weird I must say. The dude was all over the place with information that just did not belong in his story, like how he felt about his plts and leadership. I don’t care if they gave back 5 Taliban. We have killed hundreds if not thousands of insurgents and we well continue to do so regardless of what these 5 do. People say they all should be killed and not freed, but how is that your call to make at all. Especially considering so many people that post here have never even served, let alone deployed. Congress would have dragged their feet on this even more than they did on the budget or unemployment or health care reform just about anything else congress has had to work on in the last 6 years. I’m not the biggest fan of Obama, but Congress takes the country hostage to fight him and that is just wrong on every level.

      • How does Congress ‘take the country hostage’? Was it when O̶b̶a̶m̶a̶ they released over 30.000 illegal aliens with criminal backgrounds into our communities, perhaps?

      • He was prisoner/hostage/whatever fluid nomenclature this WH uses as weasel words, for 5 years. So…just NOW, he is endangered to the extent that 0, goshdarnit, is just forced to circumvent Congress—again—in order to bring him home?

  70. As I stated on another post when you enter the service of your country you vow to fight to serve and protect the people of The United States of America and you are willing to give your life so others may have freedom. As far Bergdahl goes he is just as much a traitor as obama. He should be court marshaled and given a dishonorable discharge and sent back where he came from. Sgt. Tahmooressi should have already been brought home from mexico. It shouldn’t take more than 5 minutes to free him and have him back home, but obama can’t handle that.It would be to hard and besides there aren’t any muslims down there to trade off we just have 3 million illegals hanging around waiting on a government handout.BRING HOME SGT.TAHMOORESSI NOW.SEMPER FI.

    • It was a no win… if Obama left him there, he would have been attacked for that. And btw, there is something fishy about the Tahmooressi case also. He has changed his story a bit too often.

      • Maybe they are both as crooked as a bent stick .I don’t know to much about this mexico thing either but it seems that it should have been a quick fix to bring someone home from there.

      • He was told to change his story by his lawyer, so he did, then fired his lawyer and went back to his original explanation of what transpired. I believe he’s telling the truth and all the evidence points to it.

    • When you enter the armed forces of the U.S. Government, you begin serving the international enforcement arm of an evil cabal that not only is impoverishing and killing Americans, but citizens of the world. You are not ‘protecting’ the American people. You are protecting and acquiring stolen assets for the evil, corrupt, global, elite, which comprise about 1% of the people on this planet, to the detriment of everybody else. You are a part of the problem. A part of this sinister, corrupt blight on humanity, and you should be executed for crimes against humanity, and your government erradicated.

      • Cabal is defined as a small secret group. You should be able to name them. At your leisure, name them and re-post.

  71. So Mr. West, Republicans released hundreds from Gitmo and other camps.Mny have been caught in attacks and many are known to be current taliban leaders. I don’t recall any outrage by you over that. Republicans din’t even get anything in return. And BTW, questioning Tammy Duckworths loyalty to the country on Memorial Day was pathetic. She sacrificed her legs for our country and you question her loyalty to the country because she agreed to sit in on the latest Benghazi panel? Politics is becoming a cesspool.

    • There was certainly outrage by me over two things. One, that about 1/5 or 20% showed up later on the battlefield again, and two, that people were being held as POWs but subjected to questioning unlike what POWs usually see. The issue here was Bush having it both ways. Unlawful combatants are not a real thing. If they did something unlawful, you charge them. If they are POWs and refuse to talk, then you simply hold them.

But Bob here thinks since Bush did unlawful things, it is ok for Obama to do even move unlawful things. It is the defense you’d expect from a 6 year old when caught stealing from the cookie jar. He points to his brother and says “he did it too” as if that is a defense.

Politics are a cesspool. Anyone who would give power to the government that you would not trust the opposing party with isn’t running on all cylinders. These two parties need to go.

  72. I want no part of peace with savages who throw acid on and gun down young girls going to school. I would prefer to crush them and kill them wherever they exist.

Well, I agree but I have been thinking it over. Yes, we should have gotten that woman from North Africa that was to be executed by force, would have enjoyed it.
But there and in Afghanistan we can get away with it.
Iran has some of the same frailties yet the people put out that warm ‘happy’ video and storming one of their prisons would not be as easy but if we did the one shouldn’t we do the other?
The entire thought of fundamentalist religion boggles me and I wish it would just go away.

    • No orgsnization(s) come close to the amou t of people impoversist, tyrannized, and killed than the US Government and it’s proxies, globally.

      • 55 million people have been killed since the end of WWII as a result of US foreign policy. That doesn’t account for the many many more, at home and arou d the world, that are and have been impoverished and tyrannized. The US controlled cabal makes Hitler and Stalin , combined, appear as Choir boys.

      • Not to mention the 50 million unborn who have been butchered, as a result of U.S. policy . . . God will not hold back His hand of wrath much longer!

      • The freedom of choice can seem a terrible thing. How about helping people to see how they can choose Life? Grow families? Stay together? Love better? Develop a heritage? Our communities need to be better knit with each other and interactive. We are all in this together. Those who care deeply about the lives of the innocent, can you or your church adopt many of these unloved children?

      • So after your list, there have been mistakes and tragedies, but you are remiss putting the US in league with tyrannical despots like Mao, Stalin, and Hitler. How did you develop such a cynical bent? I appreciate your banker concerns; a very valid danger to be watched, but such unbridled cynicism is wholly unwarranted. And your math doesn’t add up to your conclusion either. Now, if you want to say the % of world population now controlled by McDonald’s and Starbucks, that’s another story. …

      • Well you have a point but there is no better person than the American service man. They are the people that join to do their fair share for liberty and freedom.
Don’t forget that the working man voted against any of these last wars in excess of 90 percent but could do nothing, as you said, the banksters had paid our ‘representatives’ to roll the dice in their favor. It wasn’t until long after Vietnam that we learned that all that destruction was simply to advance the stock of a farming company and when the forced offers were rejected the competition was destroyed.
We have enough religious trouble victimizing young pregnant girls showering them with dishonor and shame when their only sin has been to love , maybe unwisely.
But that doesn’t even compare with shooting a young girl in the head for reading. Or murdering a young bride for marriage outside of her ‘faith’.
Where we fear our leaders will send us down the wrong path and have done so the moderates elsewhere know they had better not speak out at all or in the middle of the night some unknown dirtball will murder them and call it holy. After all, even a murderer of girls of the faith is blessed far beyond the dogs without – eh?

If there is a God that judges I am pretty sure judgement is done on the acts committed and just because someone has convinced someone else that crime is justified will only cause the judge to shake his head in pity – didn’t he give everyone the ability to know right from wrong?

      • It’s time to put radical Islam on trial, on the world stage and have their own just clerics judge the wrong actions of the primitive tribal behaviors that should have disappeared with the sands of time long ago. Welcome to the modern age.

      • Won’t happen. Deep down all Muslims agree with these radicals, or something would already been done about it by them.

      • If mistakes have been made, well balanced corrective criticism can bring them to light. Apparently, guys like Edward Snowdon felt he needed to take extreme measures to expose the extent of US govt data gathering. Obama has said he would have (clearly) preferred Snowdon work within the system as a whistle blower. Without international embarrassment, would there have been an impetus for an (inter)national debate/dialog on these issues? I wonder. One thing’s for sure, our inefficient government (where ideas matter) enables such change to occur. Look at China on June 4th or ‘May 35th’, the 25th anniversary of Tienneman square massacre, they have shut down Google searching to avoid a national dialog. Clearly, they want to avoid united demonstrations. Also, try having an unfettered voice in Russia. In either country, you’re likely to quietly disappear. In the US, we have lawyers, and civic activism is encouraged.

      • You really must quit trying to use big words, making up words with their own spelling. They make you look the opposite of smart.

  73. Allen, I too smell a rat. Have we traded and Islamist convert and sympathizer and deserter for 5 top level Islamic Jihadists bent on destroying America and who will strengthen their efforts against us? I do not trust anything this Obama man does and he has given us no reason to trust what he is doing. We need answers on this guy and Obama needs to answer to the representatives of We The People for not going to Congress….another reason for impeachment to add to the growing list.

    • There are bent on destroying the most dangerous and sophisticated totalitarian/authoritarian global oligarchy on this planet. They should be given medals, and peoples of the earth should unite with them to destroy the evil cabal!

      • @ Squaretest93: What are you, about 15?? I hope you realize that those soldiers are the only thing between you and your freedom! If you don’t like our military, just try to find another country where you wouldn’t be imprisoned or lose your life if you say one derogatory thing about that military, or the country’s leader or leaders!

      • ‘My Freedom.’ I’ll worry about my freedom, and I’ll label my enemy, I don’t need a corrupt government determining my enemies, that they make up, so that they can ‘protect’ me from them, then rob me bind, and through out the constitution to do so, like you do-moron!

      • It is true that corrupt bankers with exorbitant interest rates and fees would suck the life out of regular working folks, that this is a great injustice, (along with the need for campaign finance reform [transparency]) and true justice in the banking system. They say, follow the money. I think this really is the dog you may want to bring to the fight.
Our military means well, and are patriotic, deeply caring people. Your fellow Americans, but the version who are young, in top shape, and are a trusting instrument of the leaders that command their actions. The citizens are responsible to vet the correct leaders, so let’s stay focused. The man who shoots flaming arrows in all directions is bound to lose credibility, and burn his own house down in the process.

      • I will not deny that we’re severely overextended. What’s the cure? Revise (or reveal) the Federal Reserve? Andrew Jackson actually balanced the budget. That was the last time for that.
I propose a transition to an electric/ hydrogen fuel cell energy infrastructure to boost the economy thru the roof! Let our Yankee ingenuity be an export to rebalance the trade deficit (after we wrangle China to honor patents) and turn the tide of climate change. I’ll do my part. Let’s keep the Oil Cartel underfunded and keep China from this black soot addiction as well.

    • Better you research a bit of truth its not all Obama’s doing America just wants to be the Big Boss man and the Policeman of this world it just is not going to happen.

      • You are a typical American! A socialized, indoctrinated, brainwashed, self-deluded, consuming, cheese-eating, over-weight, out-of-shape, weak, never-read-a-book, don’t-have-an-origional-thought, fake-laughter-sitcom-watching, non-principled, no-integried, classless, clueless petty-minded, worthless-piece-of-humanity.

You are a truly disturbed individual. I will pray to The Lord Jesus for your sanity and soul to be restored.

      • @Square, I am pleased that you have stereotyped the “typical” American. I bet you have some great ones for the “typical” Jew, or the “typical” Asian. What are your thoughts on the “typical” Norwegian? My response to your asinine list of adjectives…..I like cheese.

      • You have mental issues-the government thinks for you, tells you what to do, keeps you dumb-downed, subserviant, dependent, impoverished, in debt, and you can’t praise it enough, and you’re calling someone mental?

      • No, Squarehead, the government hasn’t dumbed me down, nor does it think for me … I believe you must be speaking of yourself. I am an activist for smaller government and lower taxes. I depend on government for NOTHING.

      • The government reflects the people it serves. Many more need to pay attention to what is done in our name, but millions do. We each have the rights and responsibility to follow our government’s activity and report to correct what needs to be changed. This is the age of information. Pro and con, the mighty may be humbled by the meek by the stroke of a pen.

      • Clearly, not all Americans fit the ‘blob’ mold, but with a trend of isolationism comes complacency, lethargy, and surely mental deterioration. Of course, there’s plenty habits we have learned from our fathers, and don’t discount the smoke and mirrors within the media.
I will say, that Americans tend to be the most underinformed and over entertained people. (Quote not mine)
But in this age of information, more can care about issues when they understand the importance. The question is (in the blizzard of information) what gets thru. .. and what will we do?

      • Socialization, indoctrination, and brainwashing are powerful real-life concepts that are a reality. They negate I.Q. and Education. One could have a PhD in many areas of study and an I.Q. over 140, and not have a clue as to what is really going on geo-politically, around the world, not to mention the serious and danger and negative of it all. Millions of people are dying, many more are being impoverished, and tyrannized, not because that’s just the way it is, but by design as a result of greed and power in the hands of a few bankers.

      • Would Romney have been better? He managed to swiftly insult the Brits as they were having the London Olympics. Who would be a better decision maker? Will things be better in 2016?

      • Must be Romney and his magic underpants that won any Olympic medals or was it all that American whining and appealing, Americans always were very poor losers, No matter where the Olympics are held, By the way I don’t know where you got this idea that I’m British (English) But I do hold multiple citizenship rights Canada is only one of those.

      • There’s something to be said about the US when so many are clamoring to get here and they’ve resorted to running a lottery to select a few from each country, just to make it fair! There are plenty other European countries that are feeling over run by throngs of immigrants who are rethinking their policies. Clearly, people seek freedom and opportunity. It is cherished here, though upward mobility isn’t always realized, it appears more possible than at any other time. As Zig Ziglar has said, find a plan that works and work the plan!

      • That’s a total fabrication and a lie. In the few instances where people from other countries do try to come to the states is because the US Government has assasinated their leader and interjected it’s own dictator that is oppressing and murdering it’s own people, or paid a corrupt dictator off in their country so the US Government can rape and plunder the wealth and resources of the country for the bankers that own it, and who in turn kills and oppresses his/her people, or a destabalization war that the USinstigates through it’s proxy terroists, and then brands the leader of that country a tyrant that is killing his/her own people, when it’s the US that is behind the carnage and the killing of innocent civilians and women and children. Destabalizing the country to topple a legitimately elected leader so as to put their own dictator in power, that will allow the US Government to plunder and pillage the wealth and resources of the country, or to get a better hedgemony on Russia and China. All for greed. BThis is why so many people around the world are fleeing to other countries and are refugees. If any third world, and many modern countries don-t go along with the US, they will incur severe sanctions, murder, assasination of their leaders, destabilization wars, etc. This kills millions of people globally. Many more folks, in the US and around the world livewell below their means and in abject poverty, as a result. The American taxpayers pay for these endeavors, and reap none of the tremendous wealth that these fiascos accord the 1% and the bankers calling the shots. They in 2008 robbed the total wealth of the country. Their greed knows no boundaries, they will get your Social Security. Keep on waving the flag, morons!

      • Where are you from again Mr Anarchist? You seem to be from a place that was negatively effected by US involvement. If this was the case, I hope reparations can be made. Otherwise, you appear to be a candidate of some serious indoctrination as well! What has caused your view of the US to become so jaded? This is still the land of opportunity & home of the free. Folks don’t need to live behind their means and become slaves to debt. Productive people who are flexible don’t have money problems and will not feel ‘controlled by banks’. What of money in politics? Lets trace it and expose corporate links with the transparency as promised. It’s a process, but changing the culture of govt favors is kicking against ensconced inertia. I appreciate criticism when it is accompanied by a constructive prescription for action. My biggest concern is, why are you such a cynic? What a way to live? I and much of my family are part of the military industrial complex, but are involved in peaceful applications; doctors, public liaison, therapists, technicians, etc. It is possible the mission of the US military may soon split to form a very diplomatic and economically supportive branch to accommodate ailing countries requesting assistance. This is a true proposition. Check it out. I think you’ll get a bang outta it:

I respect there is some truth to what you are saying about mistakes made in US foreign relations. It appears private corporations have caused more abuses of other nations than our government. There are plenty errors to be corrected, but capitulating and demonizing doesn’t help solve the problems. Please do put your analytical skills to use benefiting society.

      • Gosh, that almost sounds like me, Eddie. But…. don’t forget the part about being a gun nut that is very well armed and can hit what he aims at out to 500 yards. Sorry…that’s 457.2 meters to you, limey.

      • No such thing as freedom in any country or anywhere its just a big Gung Ho plan to keep you all under control and manipulated.

      • Is name calling your claim to non-fame when you can’t handle the truth? I bet there are a plethora of things that you can’t handle, life being one of them.

      • Your probably a typical Jewish woman that has let herself go to fat, uneducated in the ways of this world, and can only snipe at others who have an opinion, that is fact, and its all part of history American aggression. However your excused because some people,You namely, just cannot be deprogrammed, after spending most of your miserable existence in front of the Television and the other half on your back, Poor you.

      • Other posters say that you are the perfect idiot. I say that you are not perfect but you are doing all right.

      • You are a sheep, which is lower than an idiot,

      • Correct! Unfortunately, many many more true stories about this blight on humanity could be told.

      • You are still very heavily biased anti – US. I cannot speak to all our military missions since WWII, what were the true objectives for them, and which blunders created severe blow back. For those who remain as vigilant watchdogs on these issues and can project it fearlessly to the electorate though video dialog, or public editorials, a conscience of our actions should develop and justice to follow.

      • Brainwashing is a terrible thing-It negates intelligence and it negates education. Now, when you develop an original thought, come back. That will probably take you a lifetime, if you are lucky.

      • Forgive my hasty mischaracterization of you. I mistook you for another type of person. I have realize that you are well informed on much of what you speak, much that I was unfamiliar with, and it’s clear you have a deep conscience for the misdeeds of our military. My apologies for my previous statement, though it’s possible there may be some middle ground. Plenty that has been done in the name of US citizens may have either be unrealized or forgotten, but clearly not by those the injustices have been perpetrated upon.

There are plenty wrongs to be righted, much that should never have been initiated in the first place. The middle ground might be things that appeared right at the time such as overreaction to communist or socialist ideologies. Both sides have vehemently demonized the other, but these days cash is king and the predominant interest lies in opening new markets and having increasing economic spheres of interest, which make politics more a shell game.

      • There is some truth in that part of it may have started with the ‘communist’ threat, but I think that’s letting them off too easy. Greed, concentration of wealth, power, opportunities, and resources, fueled by corruption is in almost complete power on this planet, and if it’s nt stopped, defeated, done away with, humanity, at least 99% of us are doomed. The four tools of the tyrannists must be abolished, globslly. They are governments, standing armies, banking and money. There is no middle ground.

      • Imagine what humanity could do if each country did not have to be preoccupied by self defense. Of course, a standing army gets pretty expensive. Listening to an audio book on Russian history & they did a lot wrong with their peasantry prior to being severely trounced by western powers in the Crimean War. Still used commoners as canon fodder in WWII! Lack of modernization can lead to high morbidity. Several German rocket scientists later and Russia is finally a contender on the world stage and surpassing the US with sputnik/ dogs/monkeys/men in space.. but it’s great to have competition!
How do we shift to a world where the veil of fear is lifted and folks can get back to peaceful collaboration along scientific pursuits?

      • You seem to babble on to a pointless illogical non-conclusion. Please restate your point, if you have one, and logically how you arrived at it.

      • No need to be so angry. As an architectural engineer, I am more creative than many. Apology is below.

  75. Not to mention the 6 soldiers who were killed when they tried to bring Bowe back! Their blood is on HIS hands because he deserted his post!

    • The unasked question is – “How many more Americans were killed due to information Bergdahl voluntarily gave the enemy?”

      • You pollute this earth with your idiocy and putridity. Your passing will be a great favor to this country and its people.

      • No sir! It is a cabal, owned by bankers, that you sir support, that are impoverishing, tyrannizing, and killing millions of folks globally, and in the US. That cabal, and folks like yourself, that are a detriment to humanity, are the real stench that needs to be exterminated!

      • Anybody that doesn’t hate and oppose tyranny is doomed to wallow in it. You go a step further, you not only wallow in it-you praise it. That makes you a pathetic, insignificant, miscreant, that has no value. True patriots would consider you colateral damage, stick your own gun up your ass, and put you out of your misery.

      • led by that wonderful, nice old guy George Soros who probably just happens to be on BHO’s speed dial.

  76. Obama’s done some very unpatriotic things… Benghazi, the VA Scandal, leaking the name of the CIA Station Chief, to name a few… but this has got to be one of the most dangerous and fool hardy things he’s done yet! This is really going to come back to haunt us! You think these terrorists aren’t going to want to get revenge for all the years they spent in Gitmo… especially since the Taliban is ALL about revenge!?! Obama, now that he’s down to his last two years, is really showing his true colors!

    • Poor Obama I guess he did all this also,

    • Behghazi being Obama’s fault has been discredited.
Obama has asked for more VA funding and better treatment every year he’s been in office.
      And so on.

Stop believing what the talking heads on TV scream at you to believe and learn how to use the internet for objective research. Currently, you’re one of the “low information” voters who are ruining the nation.

      • First of all you are an idiot. Secondly, action not research is called for. In the third place, the the only voting that is viable in an unconstitutional, oligarchy, is from the rooftops.

      • First, were you looking in a mirror?
Second, how can you take action while ignorant? That just makes you a puppet for the people who are pulling your strings. Did you vote yesterday? If not, shut up right now.
Third, if you’re talking about sedition or even treason, lead from the front, coward. I’ll enjoy watching your death on the news.

  77. I really hope that all the dumbasses that voted for the devil himself are the first to fall when this country fails. Just what the hell has nobama got up his sleeve next? He has proven himself capable of disastrous events with the outcome hurting our country. When are people going to wise the hell up?????

    • Sadly, the rain falls on the just AND the unjust. When the ship goes down, we all drown … except for the captain, who in this case, will escape to his mansion with armed guards.

      • Oh No! When this corpobanker corrupt ship goes down, the captains and the kings are departing with it, along with the nimrat flag-waving rodents!

    • There will be much more wisdom around when the cabal is gone with all the brainwashed flag waving nimrods along with it!

  78. It would be great if you “realists” would start by defending your own communities from violence. What do you do, though? You sit in your house and call the cops, not wanting to actually get involved, while making up conspiracy theories.

The President isn’t responsible for your lot in life, you are.

    • The people that own presidents have a lot to do with everyone’s life on this planet, profoundley, in almost every major area of endeavor. If you don’t know what’s going on, go read your first book. Or go stick your head back in the sand for another twenty years.

      • I know what’s going on, more than what I’m told my talking heads on the radio and tv.

What I’m talking about is personal responsibility. Take some responsibility for yourself and where you’re at.

      • So as a libtard you are talking about taking responsibility for oneself, yet you likely support socialized healthcare, abortion to avoid consequences of sex, likely support government assistance programs like food stamps and probably just in general don’t have any consistency with your statements. Inconsistency is a good sign, that your logic is flawed…….ju

      • What about them? Has sitting around whining like a child who just dropped their cookie done anything to improve your situation? Nope. Have YOU done anything to improve your situation? Highly unlikely.

      • Ah, TriCare. Government welfare with a different name.

You can say “firearms”. I own them, as well. Further, I’ve actually used them in civilian defensive situations. However, what has that done to better your situation as an American?

      • In other words, you have done nothing more than fall prey to fear mongering and feel that blind “patriotism” will win the day. Kudos to you. Keep in mind that when Obama doesn’t start a war and when his term is over, the value of all of those guns and ammo is going to fall right through the basement.

I HAVE used firearms to defend my home, my family, and my neighbors from violence, without a government agency paying me to do so. I AM self employed. I ACTUALLY walk the walk.

    BARACK OBAMA – DECEMBER 2013

White House defends prisoner swap with Taliban
    Monday, June 2, 2014

Republican lawmakers said the president broke the national defense authorization law that Mr. Obama signed on Dec. 26, 2013, which requires him to give Congress a month’s notice before releasing terrorism detainees from the prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

BUT THE PRESIDENT ADDED A “SIGNING STATEMENT” TO THE LAW, SAYING THAT HE INTENDED TO RESERVE FOR HIMSELF THE FLEXIBILITY TO NEGOTIATE OVER THE RELEASE OF TERRORISM DETAINEES.

“The executive branch must have the flexibility, among other things, to act swiftly in conducting negotiations with foreign countries regarding the circumstances of detainee transfers,” Mr. Obama wrote at the time.

  80. He already has blood on his hands. I could not believe it when college students did not know who or what “Bengazi” was!! And 90 % of them did not know what we celebrated the 4th of July for!!! And these are our next leaders? Are we in trouble? Not one dam thing has or will be done to this traitor-president that has destroyed the great America that we knew. It will never be the same!!!
