Activist tied to Muslim Brotherhood hosts Democrat fundraiser

Akram Elzend

You might think a group like the Muslim Brotherhood would be covert in their activities here in the United States, but nah. But why should they be? We refuse to acknowledge who they really are and their objectives, even though they were clearly defined in the Explanatory Memorandum discovered during a 1991 FBI raid in northern Virginia:

“…a “Civilization-Jihadist Process” with all the word means. The Ikhwan must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and “sabotaging” its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other
religions.”

It is happening before our very eyes. And unfortunately, those eyes are wide shut.

As reported by Washington Free Beacon, “A Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated activist whose organization recently came under fire for holding an anti-Semitic rally in support of ousted Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi will head a fundraiser for Democrat Rep. Gerry Connolly (Va.). Muslim Brotherhood allies Akram Elzend and Sameh Elhennawy based in the U.S. will co-host a fundraiser for Connolly later this month at the Fairfax residence of Mohamed Mohamed.

I can attest to the interest Islamic fundamentalist groups took in my own 2012 reelection and the support they offered to my opposition. Islamists in the United States seek political influence and wish to silence the voices of those who will stand against their infiltration and not abide by the rules of political correctness.

The Washington Free Beacon reports “the event has attracted the attention of some U.S.-based analysts who track the Muslim Brotherhood, particularly due to a pro-Morsi rally several weeks ago in New York City that featured anti-Semitic displays and was organized by a group Elzend cofounded. Both Elzend and Elhennawy have been tied to Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood and were listed as U.S.-based cells of the group, according to a report in Egypt’s El Watan newspaper.”

Elzend is a co-founder and chair of the pro-Morsi group Egyptian Americans for Democracy and Human Rights (EADHR), which held a rally last month outside of the Saudi Arabian consulate in New York. Demonstrators at the rally were caught accusing the Saudis of trying to “sell Egypt to the Jews” and of being “dirtier than Jews,” according to video of the event published by the Investigative Project on Terrorism.

Elzend was unwilling to answer any of the Free Beacon’s questions about his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, but it’s clear why he wholeheartedly supports the Democrat Connolly who personally expressed outrage over Morsi’s ouster and criticized the U.S. for not doing enough to back him.

I wonder what DNC Chairman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz and DCCC Chairman Steve Israel have to say about Democrats being aligned with, supported and funded by Muslim Brotherhood-associated individuals?

I guess anyone’s money is good money to the Democrats — even if it comes from enemies of our principles and liberty. Once again, I have to ask, whose side are they on?

  1. This is the same question that I ask? There seems to be agendas with pretty much the same goals against America from opposing forces?

  2. Yeah – I wish they would stop blowing themselves up though, I was hoping to shoot a few during the next “jihad”

    • The Brotherhood alliance is much more complex than that though…think: Obama v. Putin and natural gas. The opposition has clearly aligned itself with Putin…but they would also deny Europe cheap natural gas as a result

      • Yeah, but they suck at tactics. If they are going to attack openly within the USA they better rethink the whole burning flags and gathering on the street thing. Plus, they live in communities in the USA, usually with a great big Mosque. Not very hard to find them. Plus you have 100 million gun owners in the USA. That is easily 10 times larger than any military in the world,

  3. There is a man that is in the Muslim Brotherhood that works in our immigration department in Washington. The Muslims have always said, they were going to destroy America from within.

  4. “I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear.”
    – Barack Obama

  5. When are we Americans going to do something about this. The longer we wait the easier it will be for them to take us down, they are rallying, are we? Because as far as I can see we are NOT. I am terrified for my kids, what are we going to do about this? Sit and rail at our key boards until they show up at our front doors in the middle of the night? Because my fellow Americans the day is coming, and soon.. We better get our asses prepared..

  6. Very astute of them. Help the democrats that wil be friendly to their cause. Then they can move on and get others elected and in turn get certain laws enacted and others over turned

  7. If the MB is considered a “terrorist organization”, then WHY THE HELL are they allowed to operate within our country?? AND,,,why has Obama appointed some of them to positions is OUR government?????

      • Wrong. Conspiracy accusations about associations are not the same as people being actual members.
Saying a political appointee may have a family member who did business with someone associated with the Muslim Brotherhood is NOT the same as saying a political appointee is a member of the Muslim Brotherhood.

This is why you lose elections.

      • You sound like Clinton – “it was not really sex” – OK, I guess technically a Muslim Brotherhood member working in a Department of Homeland Security administrative position is not “technically part of the administration.” Then there are people that have common sense.
Care to make a wager on the upcoming elections. I think it is already 1-0.

      • Because you are so lazy Brendan I googled the answer for you. here is the list of muslim brotherhood members

      • it is not nonsense what is nonsense is the fact that you decide that, you will not concede that we are under attack from within by the mulims. What is nonsense is that you deliberately refuse to open your eyes to what is plain to see. It took me 30 seconds to google the results. You want to keep your head in the sand? that’s your business. As an veteran of the Armed Services, you took an Oath to uphold the Constitution from Enemies foreign and domestic. Yet you sit on your fat butt and spew crap you know nothing about. As a veteran, I expect better from you than that.
As a veteran I Expect you to be more patriotic and active in defending The US and the Constitution.

      • Perhaps you should take a gander at that Constitution sometime and understand that freedom of religion applies to Muslim Americans too.
Your previous recent posts, listing muslims in government and implying that being Muslim somehow connects them to the Muslim Brotherhood are inaccurate.

i swore an oath to defend the Constitution and that means protecting the freedoms of All Americans, whether they be Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, or whatever.

I grew up in a multicultural city with Americans of all ethnic and religious backgrounds… including Muslims of European and Middle Eastern descent.
they were my neighbors, classmates, and co-workers.

Yes, radical Islam is a real threat.
But the majority of American muslims are not.
The greater threat to the Constitution is not coming from Americans who happen to go to a mosque instead of a church.
The greater threat to the Constitution comes from people who wish to take away the freedoms of those Americans who happen to go to mosques.

The irony is people calling themselves patriots who spew the most vile unAmerican unpatriotic ideas.

      • Nice try. The people I listed have known ties to the muslim brotherhood and terrorist ties. You can keep denying all you want. but the fact remains that you have your head in the sand.
You cannot put these people listed in the same category of normal everyday Arabs.
Arabs are either Christians or Muslims. If the claim to be muslim and they follow the Koran, they have a duty to put you in a grave. that is plain fact.

Calling me Un-American because I want these people out of are country is stupidity on your part.
I grew up in New York City. There are no cities or town more multicultural than NYC, so don’t hand me your crap about how great you are or how right you are, because you are incorrect on this issue. The greater threat comes from people just like you who refuse to open there eyes to what is going on around you. That is what got us into this trouble t begin with.
You state that you know American Muslims are not a threat. show me facts that back that statement up. You cannot because there is no data to support your claim. ALL MUSLIMS! not some follow the Koran. They have a sworn duty to either convert people to Muslim or kill them, end of story.

The irony is really that you will defend the very same people who will, if they get the chance, Kill you. Do not confuse Christian Arabs with Muslim Arabs.

  8. We need to follow suit with Egypt and declare them a terrorist organisation, round them up and exile them to their homeland or eliminate them at all costs , Period !

  9. Barry is definitely one of them. This is treason in the highest order. ANYONE who allies themselves with our enemies is an opponent, too.

  10. “Once again, I have to ask, whose side are they on?”

Ask another question. Why do Muslim Brotherhood people and other Islamic activists support Demonrats so wholeheartedly even though they are still a part of the ‘Great Satan’?

    • Excellent question. Any enemy of my enemy will do in a pinch. When the left and the Muslim Brotherhood have destroyed America from within; then the Muslim Brotherhood will turn on the left and destroy them. The left will crumble like a house of cards. Reminds me of mean girls in high school.

  11. It does seem that these two seemingly opposite groups would have NOTHING in common.(extremist muslims wanting to destroy the US–and far left “progressives”)

but then, we have a President who seems to appeal to…both!

  12. If you are saying Obama is not an America, either is Ted Cruz. Cruz is claiming he’s Amer bec his amer mom, well O’s mom was Amer.

  13. Wow, I can’t believe my luck. I was on Dallas a couple days ago and went to the Geo Bush Pres library. When I walk in there’s a huge wall with names of donors. Hidden in the middle of hundred of names are the wonderfully generous people of the United Emeritus. I wonder how many are members of the Muslim Bro- hood???
Ps, if you get the chance you must go. Very interactive, cool.

  14. Isn’t it great that everyone who opposed the barry husein communist dictatorship, instead of wasting their vote on someone who had zero chance of winning, voted for the only candidate on the ballot in 2012 who could win the Electoral College vote? Otherwise we would have to worry about lying, murderous moooooooslums digging their barbaric claws deeper into America.

Oh, wait…sorry…not everyone was smart enough to figure that out.

  15. Our government is in bed with the enemy. The only hope we have is 1) Pray and ask God to forgive us for our wicked ways, and 2) Vote Republican.
