Progressives calling for totalitarian control by IRS

I woke this morning to a very disturbing editorial from the New York Sun. It began with this quote from a February 19th editorial from liberal progressive newspaper of record, the New York Times:

“Secret money has become the scourge of the political system and needs to be eliminated regardless of the inconvenience to nonprofit groups, whatever their ideology. Republicans have blocked Congress from dealing with the problem, so now it is up to the I.R.S. to do its job.”

Several weeks ago, we shared the words of NY Democrat Senator Chuck Schumer when he spoke before the George Soros-funded Center for American Progress calling for a “redoubling of efforts by the IRS and government agencies” to attack funding for conservative groups.

Now we see the semi-official mouthpiece of the Obama administration, the New York Times, falling in lockstep (or should we say goose step). The Times is calling for President Obama and the IRS to bypass the GOP-controlled House of Representatives because it presents an obstacle to their totalitarian design of fundamentally transforming America.

As the New York Sun says, They are one of the most astonishing combination of sentences we’ve seen in a while for the schematic way in which they illuminate the dictatorial mindset. Where in the world did the Times, once a paper of liberal progress, get possessed of the notion that the executive branch should do things that Congress decided it didn’t want to authorize it to do?

Consider our story yesterday that the Obama administration’s Federal Communications Commission (FCC) wants to go into newsrooms and evaluate their “critical information needs.” Now we have a member of the American free press calling for an agency of the federal government to eliminate free speech and expression of Americans? Some liberal progressives will say the Times quote is advocating for this for all nonprofit groups, “whatever their ideology,” except the Times also says “Republicans have blocked Congress from dealing with the problem.”

Funny — I didn’t see the Times addressing the issue of the AFL-CIO, National Educators Association, American Federation of Teachers – in other words, unions’ influence on the political system. The Times doesn’t seem concerned about the UAW, after its defeat in Tennessee, claiming they’re going to the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to demand a re-vote.

The idea that something should be done to override a Congress that refuses to authorize a certain administrative action is a recurring theme of the Obama administration. After all, he’s got his pen and he’s got his phone. Not only does The Times want the IRS to do things Congress hasn’t authorized, but things the Supreme Court has ruled against.

Message to the New York Times and liberal progressive socialists: you are playing a very dangerous game. Never underestimate the patriotic fervor of everyday Americans — those whom you despise, demean, and denigrate at your fancy cocktail parties as ignorant, stupid, and extreme.

What you liberal progressives are attempting to implement is totalitarian and extreme in every sense. There is a groundswell building and you don’t want to be on the wrong side of history. This Constitutional Republic will persevere and endure your blatant attacks. The American people, Patriots, will be victorious and will not stand for “weaponizing the IRS” and other government agencies.

Why is someone a racist for pointing out what historically happened? I found it interesting that the MSM lionized Nelson Mandela who committed crimes against humanity.

We don’t NEED the military to step in…we outnumber the government AND the army 220 to 1…why do you think they are trying to disarm us?

You will never get the “American People” together to do squat! The “American People” can’t arrest the Government, but the Military can. The only thing I know that is going on in this Country by “The People” is: http://patriotsforamerica.ning.com

Yes, they are trying to disarm “The People”, but I don’t think they will accomplish it without a battle. Watch out for the UN!

Yup, they still think it’ll never happen here….well, we are another step closer…VENEZUELA/UKRAINE/SYRIA…

It could be that they don’t think anything the government does really affects anyone. Or that it’s ok because this action just affects Conservatives. I can’t believe there are still people backing up all this obamination. Where funding for conservative groups generates from should not concern the IRS or any other group, if it’s not concerned with where funding from any other groups is generated. It makes my blood boil.

my question exactly Melanie!!! Is anyone paying attention to Venezuela? Is that what we are waiting for? A dictatorship to take place for us to finally put our feet down and say enough? I’m tired of reading about it, tired watching each step for totalitarianism being implemented a day at the time while everyone just rants and complains about it but does nothing! What we accept is what we deserve.

Greyson Wolfe 75

sybele….exactly.. the people of the US better watch Venezuela and for that matter Ukraine very closely. Socialism/dictatorships don’t work and unless the US wants to see carnage like Venezuela and Ukraine, we the people better get our heads out of our butts!

Unfortunately, there is a huge section of society that wants the government to control everything.

This is about Elections folks. They want to control the November Elections in case the Voting Fraud doesn’t work this time around. They don’t want the Democrats to lose. If the Democrats lose, he will not be able to push through his Agenda and as fast as he is going, he has a lot more he wants to accomplish.

This was sent to me from a friend: Leaders? Where are they? For years, the late Col. David H. Hackworth warned about self-serving, porcelain princes in leadership positions not acting as leaders, but as political hacks seeking only to enhance their own career. Leadership, at best, is granted lip service but rarely practiced in the rarefied air of the military hierarchy. After all, one public faux pas can be a career ender. If Patton were around today, he would have been purged at once from the U.S. Army by its porcelain princes. Billy and Karen Vaughn, Gold Star parents of… Read more »

Basically the Republican Party has allowed the Liberal Progressives too define for too long who we are and what we stand for until our leadership evolved into that definition . We have let them lie and defame the Tea Party too the point the RINOs are rallying against it also. Basically , we are SCREWED if we don’t get the same RINOs and Progressives out of office and take back Congress in 2014 ,then the White House in 2016. Everyone keeps depending on the Election in November 2014. I look at it like this: It’s Russian Roulette! You don’t know what the hell is going to happen on November 2014 and throw in Voting Fraud, and there we are. The Republicans have sat on their asses and let the Democrats run over them. You have very few that have stood up to fight back the ones that keep rolling over. Republicans are being blamed for everything that has happened. Yep, the Elections are going to save us!

It is liable to be worse this Election than before. If they don’t hold onto the Senate, he will lose control. Individuals need to volunteer at their Supervisor of Elections Office to help monitor the voting, especially in big cities and communities that had prior problems. The Administration is trying to do anything and everything to impede funding for the Republican/Conservative side. Amazing “Our Country” has come to this.

Jimmy

You’re correct Reba. The old GOP establishment has morphed into Repubcrats that aren’t much different that Democrats. They blame the Tea Party for all their problems when it was the TP that swung the 2010 elections. Without the Tea Party their headed for another defeat. Maybe if we can get the TP candidates elected over these Republicrats , they will get the message…..

Reba

I don’t want someone that only answers to the Tea Party or any other group. We need someone that is for “The People” and will make the correct decisions for “Our Country.”

Kenyan Mocker

So you want someone that has no connections or support? The TEA Party has the best chance of taking over the GOP. There is not time to establish a 3rd party. The Libertarian Party has been around 40 years and hasn’t had a platform that people will support. Their main goal has been freedom to use all drugs and “free sex” which has only resulted in the spread of HIV/Aids.

Reba

(That only answers to the Tea Party or any other group.) I didn’t say any connections or support. There is a fine line for anyone that is elected that works only with certain groups of people. What do you think is happening now? If the person that is elected follows the Constitution, Bill of Rights, Amendments and our Laws, then it’s not an issue. An individual is not elected to support the Parties, Unions, Bankers, Big Business, Pals and Payback their Friends. They are elected to support “All Americans” and “Our Country” and to do “What Is Right”. Yes, the… Read more »

It appears that the IRS is the ‘private army’ that Obama declared was his goal, an army just as strong, just as well-funded as the US military. This was part of his extended Call to Service talk in Colorado Springs, CO, on July 2nd 2008. Forward to 16:41 on the time line to hear his clear message. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df2p6867_pw

The, so called, mainstream media, has been in the pocket of the Democratic Party for many decades. I don’t find it strange that it opposes freedom of the press. The alphabets, drive bys, or whatever one wishes to call the Progressive’s collective media is not the free press, they merely subsist in the same geography as the American free press. Our Constitutional free press owes nothing to a political party. Our free press states the truth and lets the truth stand where it stands. Its only friend is the truth of the matter. Its enemies are all who oppose journalistic… Read more »

They forget that the same speech and press restrictions they are drooling over at the moment will work exactly against them when, not if, but when, they lose power and their own efforts are directed against them. Of course they wouldn’t survive it, but it’s not likely they will survive attempts to nullify our constitution now. There will be a breaking point, and the resulting tsunami will not only sweep the fascist progressives from power, but may very well cancel them from the face of the planet permanently.

NEWSFLASH: How Do You Like This:

President Obama has named Hamas adviser Robert O. Malley the senior director at the National Security Council (NSC). You may recall that Malley was foreign policy adviser to then-presidential candidate Barack Obama in 2007, and was fired from his campaign team in 2008 because of his notorious ties to Hamas, the PLO and other jihadist, anti-Israel groups.

Democrats or “progressives” are SOCIALISTS/COMMUNISTS, or heavily influenced by SOCIALISTS/COMMUNISTS, because THEY DO NOT THINK – for themselves.

There is only ONE political party, in this country. In 2004, we had two candidates, both “C” students, from Yale, and both members of it’s Skull and Bones Secret Society. THEY gave us our “choice”. Either Dubya, or Kerry. Notice how, even after Obama was elected in 2008, that NOTHING CHANGED? WAKE UP.

West may *label* Zionist Israel-Firsters like Schumer a “progressive”, but real progressives that loathe the ground he walks on know better. Progressive? Nope. Schumer is a fascist and a Zionist enabler. Nothing “Commie” or “Socialist” about aligning one’s self with and doing the bidding of corporations: that is the definition of fascism. He is the one that organized Wall Street into contributing $70 million to Obama’s 2008 campaign, which has resulted in ZERO regulation of the finance markets, leading to rampant criminality. How does Mr. West stand on the de-regulation of markets???????? How about US politicians pushing Israel’s policies ahead… Read more »

The progressives are pushing rather hard for a marshall law scenario in this country,I do not think that would be a vary good idea for them to try. They seem not to understand what that means and what the end result will be. there is no reason to trump for that by any media out there.

Reba

Obama would like nothing more than to implement Marshal Law. He and his
Administration has been preparing since before he was elected to take over “Our Country.” Each day that goes by he gets stronger. We have few Elected Officials standing up to this Administration and there are not enough of them to win. It’s up to the “People” to take back “Our Country.” The only group I’m aware of is: http:patriotsofamerica,ning.com

Let them ‘weaponize’ what they want. The way the federal government uses agencies against citizens on a daily basis is evidence enough that anybody in an ‘alphabet’ agency jacket, hat or T-shirt is an enemy. When the people stand up to tyranny – as will happen eventually – them as don’t quit their jobs and burn their alphabet gear will die with the politicos.
