IRS slaps on more rules to silence conservatives

During his Super Sunday interview with Bill O’Reilly, President Obama said there was not a “smidgen of corruption” in the IRS. He’s right. It’s not a smidgen. It’s a blob.

Last week during a hearing on Capitol Hill, True the Vote President Catherine Engelbrecht referred to the “weaponizing of the IRS.” We also reported here about Chuck Schumer’s comments to the George Soros-funded Center for Security Progress where he referred to “redoubling our efforts using the IRS and other government agencies” against grassroots conservative groups.

The next round of this progressive socialist assault on voices of political opposition includes new rules the IRS will seek to implement.

Cleta Mitchell, lead attorney in the IRS case, says the proposed IRS rules on regulating tax-exempt groups participating in political activities, is like “big, fat, permanent duct tape across the mouths of citizens” trying to “hold their elected officials accountable.”

Never forget, the American people are guaranteed the First Amendment rights of freedom of speech, freedom of expression, but most importantly to “petition their government for redress of their grievances.”

Speaking to Newsmax, Mitchell said Obama administration officials “don’t really understand what the fuss is about” when it comes to the IRS targeting scandal. “They view the activities of conservatives and tea party groups as somehow odd,” she said. Constitutional conservative grassroots organizations are ramping up efforts to fight the proposed IRS rules, rallying people to file their opposition with the agency before the Feb. 27 deadline — even as Mitchell said she’s collecting documents related to the proposed rules.

“When these rules were posted, [the] agency is supposed to include any background materials and documents related to the proposed rulemaking,” she noted. “The IRS says there are none; zero,” she said, adding that the Treasury Department later conceded it’ll take until April to collect the documents she requested.

I encourage you to learn more about these IRS rules and send in your comments to the IRS, lest we lose the ability for everyday American citizens to speak up and challenge those who work for us. If you are opposed to the proposed restrictions file a complaint through the website WeWillNotBeSilenced.org. You can also fill out this form.

Every day, the federal government under the gaze of the Obama administration leans further towards totalitarianism and tyranny. This is not what our Founding Fathers intended. As Abraham Lincoln stated, this is supposed to be a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

We’re getting a government for itself, driving up our debt, creating more dependency, and reducing the future opportunities for our children and grandchildren.

President Obama recently visited Thomas Jefferson’s home of Monticello. Interesting irony that it was Jefferson who said, “When the people fear the government there is tyranny, when the government fears the people there is liberty.”

The only entity that can stop Obama at this point is the congress.
Bringing lawsuits against the administration is fruitless as they will be locked up in court for years.
The gutless wonders that were elected to represent us appear to have no will to stop this regime from ruining the Country.
Time for a major overhaul of capitol hill.

Whenever I go to the SS office here, there are never more than three staff vehicles in the parking lot. But that, I mean a vehicle that doesn’t come and go within an hour’s time…. There are two men at the window, and one security guard at his desk. THAT IS IT! Workers are no longer there. Are they working on cpus out of their homes, or are they gone? for good?

I just heard an announcement from the IRS the other day that wait times would be extreme for phone help this year. I’ve phoned the IRS for years for help on technical stuff and it has always been prompt and friendly help that has several times given me better ways to do things and even saved me money. I guess in Obamanation that is all gone.

Rules by the IRA? We are in trouble if the IRA is working with the IRS.

nothing Obama or the press say has any merit when the IRS choses to take the FIFTH when asked serious questions conceding this matter. That along is a admission of guilt and should be grounds for the immediate impeachment for Mr Obama

Naw. Not impeachment.. Impeachment is what happens to porno presidents who mess with the staff under the Resolute desk. They even get to stay in their office and continue their corruption! NO, the thing that needs to happen is arrest and confinement in federal prison.

Disarm the IRS NOW they are subject to Executive Power.

It’s time to dismantle the IRS and give the job back to the treasury. Or better yet, create a consumption tax and have it done with.

it isn’t that they do not understand Dave, It is that they do not care. They only care about ruling the country by a Dictatorship and have no regard for the Constitution

Power corrupts. These people whom were entrusted to manage OUR resources we pay for with our taxes, (and they did not) and who eat from the wages WE pay them, have come to believe they OWN the land, since they are supposed to be stewards to care for it. They have decided we will not fight back if they steal it from us, which they have already done. They are making their educated guess based upon what they have already been allowed to get away with.

Col West took the oath . Myself and many of my friends did also. To defend the United States and its Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic. I feel its about time we addressed the domestic terrorism, in political form, bearing down on this great nation today. It is being led by an iniquitous leader bent on the deconstruction of our nations Constitution and Liberties. We the people have a duty to our children to maintain and protect this unique country and the good people who choose to live here at all cost to ourselves. God Bless this great… Read more »

Lots of strange things with the IRS – why are the headquartered in WV, not in Wash DC with the rest of the majority of federal agencies? How is the IRS going to enforce the mandated thing I saw no affidavit on my 1049A asking for info, isn’t that the justification for additional IRS manpower investigators. IRS has been politicized just like most of the cabinet agencies like the DoJ. Move it back under Treasury, not likely it has its own life now with lots of senior civil servant positions and many. many lower positions who are traditionally Liberal supporters.

I always wonder what would happen to the IRS if every working person re-did their W4s and claimed 6 dependents, then when it came time to pay their taxes, they all sat down and said I cant. I mean the entire nation. I wonder what would happen? There are only so many bunks in prison, after all. What would be the outcome of all of that? What is the ending to the movie?

H. L. Mencken (born1880 – died 1956) was a journalist, satirist, critic, and Democrat. He wrote
this editorial while working for the Baltimore Evening Sun, which appeared in the July 26, 1920, edition:
“As democracy is perfected, the office of the President represents, more
and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day,
the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the
White House will be occupied by a downright fool and complete narcissistic moron.” —H.

A freeze should be imposed on the IRS immediately against doing anything that would cover there tracks of wrong doing. It only solidifies there corruption.

@ALAN B. WEST They can not legally discriminate against the Christian faith’s tenants concerning their viewpoints of political issues of they day, trying to penalize them with taxes, knowing they were given their legal right to adhere to “core values,” by the Federal Supreme Court. They are again targeting a religious group illegally, and it will not withstand the scrutiny of the Federal Supreme Court when we sue to test the constitutionality of the legislation, if placed into law! THIS SAID, IT IS THE CHURCHES LEGAL RIGHT TO DEBATE THE ISSUE, ON POLITICAL ISSUES, AS THE LAW STATES, WITHOUT DISCRIMINATORY… Read more »

If there was not a smidgen of corruption in the targeting of Conservatives in the IRS Scandal, why did Lois Lerner chose to take the fifth? Why were the Benghazi witnesses not allowed to come forward, why are we not being told the real stats on Obamacare signups and those who have actually paid? etc….How stupid does this administration think Americans are? It’s obvious to most of us at this point that all these unanswered questions are because they have quite a lot to hide. This President and his administration need to be held accountable. What happened to the whole… Read more »

LTC West, you need to tell a lot of the Republicans in Congress to man up. And for those that can’t, or won’t, maybe it’s time for them to leave and make room for men and women that actually value conservative principles and are willing to fight for them. All this lawlessness by the current administration has to be responded to somehow, and yet the Republican “leadership” don’t seem to have any clues. They’re useless.

Seems to me that theIRS, as part of Treasury is also under the oath taken (and abridged) by the occupant of the Oval Office, “…to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Since that includes the 1st Amendment this should be a no brainer…but then I guess that “no-brainer” part acts as disclaimer. A lot of “no-brainers put this lawless bunch in power.

The Korrupt Kenyan Kriminal said that there wasn’t a “smidgen” of corruption involved in the Internal Revenue Service’s treatment of conservative groups applying for non-profit status. Then WHY Lois Lerner took her constitutional right not to incriminate herself.

South Carolina GOP Rep. Trey Gowdy asked: “How can the president say
there’s not a ‘smidgen’ of criminality when Lois Lerner” took the fifth. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8zGJTRNrPM

Question ????? Just what can the IRS really do if you just ignore them?????? Arrest you ???? Seize your Property ?????? Kill you in a SWAT like raid in the middle of the night ????? Kick your dog ????? What can they really do to silence an American Citizen that is following the Constitution and the Bill of Rights ??????? All you have to do is stand your ground and speak out which is your God given right. They can’t silence you unless they kill you and even then you speak out because people will not forget how you died.… Read more »
