Amazing video: 84-year-old Army sniper still on target

I don’t have much to add. Just enjoy watching a bit of our treasured American history, 84-year-old Army Sniper Ted Gundy. This is living history, to be shared with our children and grandchildren. Needless to say, this fella could certainly outshoot me, and I’d be proud he did!

There are high performance cars and high performance people. I admire perfection of both. Every man, women and child in this country should strive to bring their firearms skill to this level. It fun, challenging and believe it or not no matter what the anti-gun cartel such as the Brady Campaign tells you, guns and good people behind them will always be needed if you want to retain your rights and any say so in your government. There may come a time when you have to vote with your cross-hairs. Be Prepared and do what you have to do.

Sweet guy… it’s sad that for every one of him, 100k have died off. In 5
years it’ll be a million to one, and then it’s just us left. Can’t stop time.

A friend of mine 96 years old a Crew Chief on a B-24 Liberator. He kept the Bomber in flying shape during WW2 stationed in Italy. He is much the same way as Ted Gundy is

Your friend is a walking legend! I hope someone is recording his memories and thoughts on it all.

He is always quiet about his antics in the service. you have to ask him. I do not know his family at all. so I have no clue.
He did tell me once that his bomber was shot up really bad one day and they flew him to Hungry to Fix the Bomber and the Pilot stayed, the rest of the crew flew home. when he was done he and the pilot flew the 24 back to base. Pretty amazing

So thankful for the countless members of “The Greatest Generation” who saved the world; from the warriors, to the leaders, to anyone who served in a support capacity. Also thankful to live in Columbus, Georgia, Ft. Benning’s neighbor. We benefit so greatly from the wonderful people who come to our area because of Benning. If anyone is “in the neighborhood” you should visit the Infantry Museum. A new Armor museum is in development, also, since BRAC has brought armor from Ft. Knox.

Look closely at his face. When he gets behind the rifle, look at his eyes. He’s back in battle. The old man dissappears and you see the soldier. I wouild be delighted to have the honor of shooting with this man. Thank you, sir.

Amazing! 3 (in a row) in 5 inches at a 1000 yards! That ain’t luck. It took an amazing man, after all these years, to do that. It’s sad to see men like that passing away from us while the world is filling up with no-account idiots. I salute you Sir, Mr. Ted Gundy!

Mr. Ted Gundy, your skill is beyond incredible and I salute you and sincerely thank you for setting an example of patriotism. Your service is a badge of honor and greatly appreciated, I wish people today had the dedication and love of country to serve proudly as all soldiers past and present have done and are doing today. By the way, I have a Browning Abolt 300 RUM with Trijicon optics and 1 in 5 at 1000 yds is the best I can do and I’m 20 years younger than you!

They should give him the rifle. His first 3 rounds fired with it were 3 consecutive thousand yard head shots? Wow.

The 99th Infantry Division was same division that my Dad belonged and fought with at the Bulge. He was awarded 2 bronze stars. My hat is off to Ted Gundy and all the men who fought and died in that epic battle.
