Video: SecState Kerry trips down Memory Lane in Vietnam

Secretary of State John Kerry is in Vietnam, reminiscing about his days as a Swift Boat Captain during the Vietnam War.

I just have to ask, when he cruised down the Mekong River, did he visit the place where he allegedly received shrapnel wounds from his own grenade launcher fire — enabling him to earn one of his three Purple Hearts resulting in his being redeployed out of theater?

Of course this time it’s not Communists he’s battling but…dun, dun, dun…GLOBAL WARMING.

Here’s the heart-warming message he prepared for the people of Vietnam.

I wonder if he will make it over to Cambodia for Christmas and if it will be like he remembered it setting on his ass in South Viet Nam?

Kerry wrote in his notebook, ‘A cocky feeling of invincibility accompanied us up the Long Tau shipping channel because we hadn’t been shot at yet, and Americans at war who haven’t been shot at are allowed to be cocky.’” Please note the date this journal entry was made – when “Kerry had just turned 25, on Dec. 11, 1968,” Brinkley wrote. That was nine days after Kerry falsely claimed to have been “wounded” during a firefight with the enemy. According to military regulations, the only time a Purple Heart can be awarded is when the recipient has been engaged in… Read more »

First off, I don’t think Kerry was a Capt of rank, and if he was the “Skipper” of a boat he was pretty stupid. I have only met a couple of men who served on Swift boats and they didn’t do river patrols. The PBR’s did the river patrol, boat, is what we rode in every time we did a Army/Navy sweep of the water ways. So, as Kerry was when he tried to use this to gain political office, was then and is now full of Bull Puckey. In the pigdin Vietnamese we knew; “GI boo coo Dinky dow”.

The
same John Kerry who called the US a “worldwide monster” in his book?
The same John Kerry who accused US troops of atrocities in two separate wars?
The same John Kerry who is honored in a Hanoi war museum (with Jane Fonda) for helping the Communist
Party conquer South Vietnam? THAT John Kerry?

He was a fraud in the 1970s, and hasn’t changed – just gotten bigger and greyer.

He didn’t have to go far to find that “spot in Vietnam” where he got those shrapnel wounds. That spot is with him everyday, in his “MIND” put there by his “Political Ambitions”. This guy is an azz clown. He’s scum.

Right about now, no doubt the people of Vietnam would like to slap Kerry for his insulting behavior. Their neighbors across the Mekong in Vietienne, Laos are no better off. Some have electricity but experience regular blackouts. The farmers have government quotas to meet and people are still living in filth and poverty. Not much has changed since the 70’s. But Kerry talks about how precious the Mekong and their natural resources are…blah, blah, blah…well, how about the civil rights of their people, Kerry? I would not insult the locals by vacationing or speaking over there because most, if not… Read more »
