Spreading the message of conservatism

Guardian of the Republic, the new book by Allen B. West

Last week Bill O’Reilly asked me if I would be interested in leading the Tea Party. I certainly don’t believe one needs to be officially “anointed” to be recognized as a leader and voice for conservative principles. But I will gladly take that message from coast to coast.

Today I will hit the airways and travel to Utah and the Chicago area. It will be my first time ever in the state of Utah and I will be there to support a fantastic young conservative Congressional candidate, Mayor Mia Love. Mayor Love truly represents the future for the Republican party, and for our resurgent conservative movement. Hers is a story of American exceptionalism and the opportunity society for which so many have fallen for in our Republic.

Of course being a black conservative means she has the ire of the progressive socialists. If you are in the Salt Lake City area, come out to the Salt Lake Community College campus and spend some time with Mayor Love and myself.

I will then travel over to the Chicago area, yep, going in behind enemy lines, to speak Thursday evening at an event sponsored by the Young America’s Foundation and the Northwestern University College Republicans. The event will be held at Harris Hall and the topic will be “Should the U.S. use military action to spread freedom?” The event is open to the public so please come on out. National Military Strategy relating to our national security objectives is vital and it’s an issue that doesn’t get enough attention.

Finally, I pray everyone enjoyed a very memorable and special Veterans Day. Mine certainly was. I am so very humbled to have announced on Veterans Day the first book I have ever written, Guardian of the Republic: An American Ronin’s Journey to Faith, Family and Freedom. You can pre-order a copy here.

The title truly symbolizes the purpose for all of us who have donned the military uniform of the United States of America. Next year, I look forward to touring and signing many copies for my fellow countrymen and patriots.

  1. Mia Love is a true conservative. I watched her speak many times during her run for the House and she embodies what a good, fiscal conservative should be. I do hope she stays in politics.

  2. Col. West I would follow you with a happy heart and not even ask where we are going. You Sir may be George Washington II. Thank you for leading by example. You are a man among men.

  3. While you are there please bring up a little history of socialism, like it has been tried in many forms in many different places and it has never worked. The nature of humans will accept a hand out if it is offered and espically if it requires very little from them. But they will also accept a hand up if it means they can get out of the hole they are in. The difference is one requires equal effort and one requires no effort. Human nature will take the easy way. That is why we look for trails around a mountain instead of over or through it.

  4. BIG Congratulations, LTC West on your first book “Guardian of the Republic: An American Ronin’s Journey to Faith, Family And Freedom” !! Definitely a “must read” for all of us. Can’t wait for your book tour next year!

Glad LTC West is supporting Conservative Republican Mia Love with her run for Congress in the 4th Congressional District in Utah. Hope others will get behind her. According to the Daily Herald in Saratoga Springs, Utah, she is leading the polls…check it out in the Opinion section of that newspaper. Hope fellow Patriots will go to the website for that newspaper and vote for her and/or give her positive remarks in the comment section and let Mia and the good folks of Utah know that as fellow Conservatives, “we have their backs”! Here are links to the newspaper and to Mia Love for Congress sites.

  5. Seems kind of silly to me… American Soldiers going halfway around the world “To spread freedom” when it is being taken away from us here at home. Maybe the military needs to go to Washington DC to spread freedom?
